Hi, I have lived as a Resident at CCCG nursing home since September 2020, and still live here. I am a 71 year old woman. I know the Kitchen staff well and I am really pleased to give some "shout outs" to those I know best. First, the morning full-time chef, Rose, is first rate in her job! It's a fine breakfast menu and Rose makes sure that the food is delivered hot and on time. Pretty impressive when you realize that this is about a 200-bed facility. And, there are many special menus each and every day either for dietary reasons, or at the requests of doctors, or for special requests to due any particular medical testing a Resident may be undergoing. Rose makes sure we all get what we need. Add to that the fact that Rose is a lovely and caring person. She has always been ready to help me in any way possible. Now, I do not know every member of the Kitchen staff by name, but I do know some by name who also deserve a "shout out." Specifically, Lloyd, who I think is the Assistant Manager of the Kitchen. He has never failed to make sure I get my many "special requests" for dinner and has even been known to personally deliver it to my room so it's not late. He's got a bit of a race to get from the lower lobby all the way up 3 stories to my 2nd floor room (at the very end of the hallway) and he always does it with a smile. Another special staff member is Barbara who is a safe bet to pitch in where necessary whenever needed. Always with a smile and friendly attitude towards all of us. I'm beginning to think that her job is just do everything! Also, I absolutely do not want to leave out those staff who are known for doing a yeoman's job throughout the entire process of "working on the line" for each meal and every day. They work from the very start to the very finish when all is cleaned and prepped for the next meal or the next day. The men are Anthony, Luke, Norman and King. They are all great and very friendly toward the Residents. It's really an "all hands on deck" process in the Kitchen. The women are all part of the process along with the men as they work side by side in a rhythmic dance of their very own, all without crashing large, heavy food carts into each other, or more importantly, into a Resident! When I see them doing this work as I pass them on my way to the beautiful, large outdoor patio I just think "Wow, I'm glad I'm retired!" ‍ So when speaking of the Kitchen staff service at CCCG as a whole I must add back in Barbara and the other women I see, but unfortunately do not know their names. In addition, there are the other men whose names I don't know. They all work alongside each other. I wish I did know all of their names especially as they are so darn friendly and always have a hello for any of us. But I did warn you at the beginning that I am a 71 year old woman and I blame my inability to remember the name of all of the staff members at CCCG on my age. I gave you fair warning at the beginning of this review. ‍ In selecting a nursing home I hope that you find my review useful for yourself or your loved one. Overall, I am happy here.

I asked for some juice, which seemed to be a big deal and impossible to accommodate. I was told several times that they would put an order in with the kitchen. An hour later-still nothing. The women across the hall yelled "help" for over an hour. I saw nurses and aides continuously pass her room, yet not enter. About 3-4 aides, within earshot were talking And laughing -not a care in the world. After three days and ZERO physical therapy, bad food, and neglect, we took her home and are trying to manage on our own. 2 stars instead of 1 because there was one nurse's aide who really took time to thoroughly clean her up.

But they have the number of the driver to update to let them know they will be out. This system is good and very covid friendly The place is nice and welcoming. The staff is masked and some gloved as well. When the patient is finished someone walks the patient out to the car. My son said the nurses and doctors remove the fear out of the patients fast with their friendly demeanor and calm presence. The staff was incredibly welcoming and the culture of family permeated throughout his time there. Administration was always available for any needs that arose in everyday living, insurance needs, and always welcomed feedback. And the attention to detailed execution of COVID protocols was so reassuring to family members. The medical staff is extraordinary in terms of medical knowledge and treatment, as well as providing a level of emotional support that makes a resident feel truly valued. The team is always upbeat and positive, which makes a huge difference day-to-day. Dad LOVED the food at Brandywine. He ate three meals each and every day and the diversity of options and quality of the ingredients and preparation were at a level of virtually any restaurant. The social activities available at Brandywine provide entry points for anyone's interests and level of desired engagement. From exercise to movies to card games to trips, all of these activities build a wonderful community. And in dad's final weeks, the sensitivity and treatment were filled with love and compassion. Our family is not happy about the constant, new owners (3 in 3 + years) and the staff comes and goes like a revolving door! Staff is great but Management at Monarch is not. And they do not take care of their staff or treat them with respect which is Unfortunate! When I needed an appointment by the end of March 2025 for my total knee replacement surgery recovery, I called after hours and left a message. The receptionist made a couple of follow-up phone calls to oblige my request . I feel that was extraordinary and way above and beyond the call of duty. I am very grateful for their attentiveness. I have had the opportunity to work with all of the therapist at the Secaucus facility. All of the therapist, Dewang, Jonathan, Maira, Yasmin all have their PT, DPT respectfully, as well as Priyanka the Clinical Director who is also hands on and has a MS, PT, DPT as well. This crew work collaboratively to cheer you on with the spirit and clapping of Applebees singing happy birthday. In fact every time l increased in my degree of bending, I bought the staff a cake that represented my accomplishment, needless to say .... they all cheered . They're very conscientious, professional and helpful about everything they do for me and my treatment as well as being one step ahead especially with setting up appointments. They're always smiling, upbeat , easy to talk with and a good sense of humor. My initial therapist Dewang was very thorough and knowledgeable when I came in for my evaluation and went over everything imaginable to meet my goal. His professionalism and expert knowledge about the complete body made me feel very comfortable that I was going to get the best treatment available. His diagnosis of what he was going to do accordingly with my operation was right on target based on his knowledge and professional experience, even before getting my prescription from HSS. He always seem to care about what I have to say, listen very intently to what I say and how I'm feeling, and make me feel that it really is important what I say, even to the point of basing some of the treatment on that. He never makes me feel like I am clueless. Jonathan was one of the well educated therapist that I initially also saw. He furthermore answered every question and concern of mine with total honesty, complete thoroughness, and talked to me in language that is informative and completely understandable to someone not up to date on medical terminology . If I don't understand something or aren't sure of it. He always took time to re-explain it or show me physically to make it more concise. He also gave me some easy exercises to do at home that increased my confidence and range of motion. I would definitely and emphatically recommend Professional Physical Therapy , Secaucus to everyone who needs to go through a physical therapy program. You are in Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) Rehabilitation National Network and this staff is definitely top-notch, actually really care about show genuine concern for their patients, plus a lot of fun to be around .

Staff is excellent, and that's the most important part for us. Nursing team is top notch, caring, and professional. Nurse Lisa runs the health-care team and she is easy to work with and has excellent medical judgment. Nurse Julie is also great. We were warned that this is a deficient facility, but were persuaded to come because it is under new administration. Aides wake her up at 6 am, though she needs only one medication per day which could be administered any time. and when she fell recently, the aides took half a day to come to help her. One serious problem is that the staff turns around frequently. Several staff members are long-time employees and get to know residents and care about them. but many are there for short stints, even just for weekends it seems. It makes me wonder if the short stints are a policy to save the company money. I have been in the 'memory care' or Alzheimer's wing, to visit my father with my mother, and there are aides there who ignore pleas for help by residents. Some are attentive and others just call out to feeble and distracted residents to 'sit down!.' We moved my parents to this facility, hoping my mother would count on the professional help that Brighton Gardens brags about in its advertisements and in the recorded message you hear while waiting, and waiting, to be connected to an aide. But I'm afraid we'll have to look for another residence and move them again. For a high price you get low level service and anxiety at Brighton Gardens.
