I…read morepaid in full at the time of service after Hands Up represented to me that my insurance would accept their claims, only to find out months later (after multiple follow-ups and attempts to submit the claims myself) that they are not in fact registered providers with my insurance. I was originally told the issue would be resolved months ago, but more than five months on, I am still out $300.

While I've only had limited interaction with Pepie, she seems very good at running this place, training and managing the therapists, the scheduling, etc. I've been working with Toby, and think he is spectacular. I've done my share of P.T. at other facilities (after other injuries, etc.), and often times the therapists aren't all that remarkable, and they often are working on multiple clients at one time. What I especially like about Toby is that...it's clear that he is extremely knowledgeable, and he always employs a host of different techniques, each time I see him. Also, whenever he is working on my hand/wrist/forearm, to help improve range of motion, etc., it always feels like he's intuiting precisely what I need, at that point in time. (In other words, he's not just going through the motions, or doing a bunch of pressing here or there, because it might look 'impressive'. He's clearly very intuitive, and customizes his O.T. work on me, for each session. I should also add that....he's got a great personality and sense of humor, which helps make the sometimes-intense O.T. sessions, a bit more tolerable ;-) I'm very grateful to Toby, and to Hands-Up, as a whole, for giving me the tools to get back my wrist mobility and extension/flexion.

My surgeon and doctor told me to run from this therapist and that they had no idea what they were doing to me. It felt like torture to be almost hospitalized in pain after every attempt to follow their plan. I wasn't supposed to me be lifting weights, twisting and working out when I can't feel my hands! Run from this place! The low review is for the front desk staff who are extremely rude, disrespectful, hung up on the phone on me, left me rude messages and no professionalism and never could spell my name right an kept calling me other peoples names.

I had shoulder replacement surgery in September and Rebecca has been instrumental in my getting back to a normal existence. In fact I'll be back on the pickleball/tennis court in the next week or so! Rebecca has made herself available at 7:30 AM a few times a week which is most convenient for my work schedule. She is a great listener and truly understands the intricacies of my rehab protocol. Rebecca is patient, smart, and wise beyond her years. I cannot recommend both Rebecca, the front desk( especially Clyde!), and Motion PT Midtown East enough!

Of course I still have a long way to go and more sessions with Dr. Dan but I felt inclined to express how wonderful I feel so far especially after each session. My shoulder and arm doesn't hurt as much now when I sleep and the tightness around my neck is less. I definitely recommend Dr. Dan if you need PT. He has a glowing personality and he loves to joke and sing which I think is a great distraction for the pain, especially when he is about to adjust the mobility of my arm. Best of all, Dr. Dan can speak Vietnamese and Cantonese so if you feel more comfortable speaking in those languages, he can accommodate. As for the clinic, I love the location and the staff here. They are efficient and friendly. The clinic is located in the basement of a residential house but it seems to have all the equipment you'll need for your recovery.

We have worked with Amanda (physical therapy) extensively and consulted with Sarah (occupational therapy) and both are truly exceptional practitioners. Amanda is extremely intelligent and gifted in her way with children. She is calm, caring, motivating and able to truly help the kids in her care develop their physical skills. She's easy going, silly and happy to laugh and play with the kids which allows them to build strength, coordination, and ability in a way that seems like pure play. Trusting Amanda with my child's gross motor development has been one of my best parenting decisions to day. Highly recommend Downtown Kids Therapy and their all star team of providers.
