They cut off the insurance and no longer able to see the doctor anymore. NYU started to doing this recently a lot. Other choice is to see the same Dr is, to find out other insurance options. That's hard. To get this location, arrive at least 30min advance. They'll need ID check in downstairs as well as it's very crowded downstairs. Elevator takes time to get in. Etc..... I made a new patient appointment back in January with Dr. Samara Skwiersky. First off there is a lot of construction outside, so it was hard to detect which building I was going into. On google maps it actually shows on the side street, but that is incorrect. After my 1 hour commute with the morning rush/people traffic, I was 20 minutes late to my appointment. Upon arrival, the front desk had to message the doctor and see if I would even be seen after being 5 minutes late over their tardiness window of 15 minutes. I was told I needed to reschedule and that the next available appointment is in September. This was a wasted morning of paying to commute into the city and taking off of work. I do not recommend coming here due to the lack of compassion and grace. read more

Fist let me start off by saying that this review is for anyone looking for a primary physician. Go elsewhere. Over the past three years this location has failed to provide patients with quality, ethical and or compassionate doctors. My father has been a patient at NYU Langone for years. His original primary physician of 30 years died from COVID. Since then we have gone through 3 horrible physicians who were never available to speak with. They don't explain or have basic knowledge of lab work. Could not get me a referral to a specialist nor could they tell me the urgency in seeing one. Forgot about trying to get an emergency appointment. They have a nurse call you back telling you to go to the ER. Zero empathy and zero accountability for patient care. This is a review about my first appointment with a primary care physician, Dr. Yelena Iskhakova. I have Healthfirst Insurance, and through some miracle, I found out NYU Langone accepts my insurance. I called for an appointment. I found the people over the phone extremely professional and courteous. Compared to other healthcare systems I've encountered, making an appointment was extremely easy and efficient. Their Broadway office is in an historic building next to the Trinity Church. I went up to the second floor, and the reception area is spanking clean and modern, with computerized check-in. You enter your information into an iPad like device and after that you speak with a person at reception. I have to say, compared to Mount Sinai at Union Square, I found the reception to be much more organized and speedy. My appointment was at 9 AM. I waited about 10 minutes when a physicians assistant came to get me. He was a young man who took me into the examination room and did preliminary tests such as blood pressure, weight etc. He also showed me about NYU Langone's online medical resource, encouraging me to sign up to get access to my records, appointments, etc. Then Dr. Yelena came in and was very patient speaking with me about my health since this was a primary care appointment and a yearly exam. Then she sent me for blood test on the same floor just steps away. Then I got a flu shot, which was also on the same floor and very close. The premises were modern and extremely clean. Sorry for the length of this review, but I was really blown away by the quality of this medical center. And I wanted to give everyone as much information as possible to make their decision. I'll report back if there are any secret charges as happens so often with this nations healthcare system. But for now I'll give a huge thumbs up to NYU Langone in the Wall Street area. read more

I've been a long time patient as part of the NYU Langone network and specifically here at Trinity. The good My primary care physician, Dr. Lofti, is an amazing doctor. I've seen him for years and he is very top notch in terms of quality, demeanor, and personality. I couldn't recommend him enough. Additionally, the facilities are always clean and you cannot beat the location The bad Over the years, I have personally seen NYU change from being patient first to purely profit motivated. My primary care physician is booked month in advance and its become almost impossible to schedule time with Dr Lofti (not his fault). Additionally, if you come down with something sudden or experience an injury, the scheduling operators will push you through the following - virtual visit (co-pay), then, if necessary, in office urgent care (additional co-pay), then, if something more serious either (1) go to the ER and foot a MASSIVE BILL or (2) wait months before your primary care physician can get scheduled. Recent experience I was experiencing chest and head pain, not enough for an ER visit and urgent care was giving me sub-par service. After pushing for an appointment to see a physician, I got cancelled by the scheduling nurse hours before the appointment. I was then told that NYU Trinity is an "after-care facility", and that if something sudden goes wrong, I either should go to urgent care or the ER. Recommendation The things that initially drew me to NYU have very much lost its luster. Its sad to see that the quality of care and attention has been replaced by a maximize profit at all costs type approach. I am currently weighing options and exploring whether I switch as a result, which is unfortunate because of how much I like my primary care physician. read more

my primary care physician took 2 hours to just put in my blood work. i was put in a waiting room for more than 50 min and doctor did not show up and then after i complained to front desk it took them another 30 min to see the doctor . total of 2 hours for just do my regular blood work. My doctors are ok, but the NYU Langone system sucks, and I'm fishing around for new doctors outside the network because of the admin difficulties and other things. 1. I'm currently stuck in a horrible loop where I haven't had my medication for a month because every time I need the NYU folks to contact the pharmacy for required info about an *existing* order, they just place a *new* order, which only creates another request for info which they ignore, etc. There are now *several* existing orders for the same thing, which are all useless because my pharmacy won't send any medication until they have this precious info. I can only talk to the nurses via phone or web message, so all they do is pass on my message to their 'pharmacy department', and it seems that the latter is messing up but I can't talk to them directly and the nurses are either passing on my message badly or don't understand what I'm saying. 2. Nurses are not trained well to be trans friendly. I had to endure a lot of doubtful looks and questioning while getting a pap smear as a trans man. It was very uncomfortable and made me not want to go back to the same facility for a pap smear again. read more

This is the most beautiful medical office I have ever been to. If you are into architecture and history, you will appreciate it. The office itself is very modern and clean. The building is a gothic beauty next to Trinity church. The views from the office on the 2nd floor of the historic church and graveyard were stunning. Check-in was a breeze. I was happy with my procedure. It went as smoothly as possible. I had an endoscopy/colonoscopy with Dr. Anand. The anesthesiologist was super nice and made me laugh and played a hypnotherapy video for me since I was a bit anxious. The nurses were also excellent. My Dr. Was gentle and efficient. He made me comfortable. Luckily, I'm good for another 10 years. One thing that was shitty was I waited a while because my Dr. Was running late but as a health care provider myself, I cannot fault him here. Unfortunately too many procedures are squeezed in per day. Highly recommend! I don't want to go anywhere else from now on. read more

This office is a disaster. I spent my New Years break on hold for 10 days trying to get medication for my son I have posted many requests on My Chart, called, left endless messages. I have not received one call back for 10 days. My doctor (Dr. Gabriella Grinstein) is away on vacation and not responding, and no one from her office would ever call me back. My husband is a patient of a cardiologist, Dr. Schulman. I joined him at an appointment in mid-March and I was quite impressed with Dr. Schulman's kindness. My husband then had an appointment with a dermatologist - Dr. Katz - in late April, and he said she's also very kind-hearted. And five days ago, I joined my husband at an appointment with an immunologist - Dr. Patel - who has a wonderful personality. We've been seeing our internist for 6 1/2 years and she's terrific (and she'll remain anonymous because it's already quite difficult getting an appointment with her), and I'm happy to report that the front-desk staff have improved significantly & they're now very friendly. The *only* reason why I'm not giving five stars (since all of the [many] doctors we've seen there are superb) is because of some of the phone staff (many of whom are offsite) and the billing personnel (re: the latter, they've made several huge mistakes which have caused me undue stress and a *huge* waste of time to resolve everything. Once was bad enough, but it's happened several times and that's totally inexcusable). read more

Do not come here. How did I mess up and not read the Yelp reviews prior to booking!! I thought NYU was a trusted name, so I didn't need to. Wrong. My appointment was scheduled for 7:15. I arrived at 6:45 and was processed by 7:15. Got called in shortly after and did vitals, but sat waiting in the patient room for 40 minutes with no word from anyone. I had to pop my head out and ask to be seen. Waited about 10 more minutes before I decided to leave. I specifically chose this place to see Dr. Leslie Miller. I found her on Zocdoc and chose her based on her reviews. Upon arrival, they gave me a completely different doctor--a male doctor who I knew nothing of. I asked about Dr. Miller who my appointment was with and who happened to still be on site, but said she WASN'T taking any patients. So perhaps change the website and not have her face and name as the person patients will be seeing. It's misleading! And frustrating. I really wish I'd read the reviews prior to coming, so I wouldn't have wasted my time. After seeing all the insurance surprise fees in the reviews, I didn't want to chance it. Especially with a doctor I didn't choose. Will definitely not return. read more

What happened??? I have been coming here for years. It was easy to get an appointment, the Doctors were caring and available. Not anymore. It takes months to get an appointment and after my primary left I have gone from one bad one to an even worse one! Recently I had a medical issue my primary didn't call me she didn't schedule a virtual and shoved me over to urgent care even after I messaged her that I wanted to talk to a Dr who knew me and my history. The doctors themselves are usually perceptive and helpful during appointments. Previously following doctors' in person visits it was easy and usual to ask questions of doctors via e-mail and have direct contact with the doctors and their staff online. Now, however, the only way to contact the actual medical person treating you is by phone which is inconvenient. They should restore the direct e-mail contact they had previously. The only available e-mail contact nowadays is the non-medical staff. read more

The surgery is invasive with an overnight stay. I had no complications. was 100% successful. PT is so so important after surgery. Staring the day after. Could not recommend more enthusiastically. I recently became a new patient of Dr. Katz, Dermatologist. I am so pleased with her thoroughness, her friendliness and her concern for her patients. I'm a big fan of NYU Langone physicians and in fact have switched all my docs over to NYU. This Trinity location is in a beautiful old Landmark building and is very clean and airy. It is close to a few subway locations and is easy to get to. The staff here couldn't be nicer and the check-in process is very easy. Plus My Chart, used by all NYU Langone locations is such a godsend; easy to use and a great way to communicate to your docs. read more

Not a bad place. But. Their surgeon bragged that she had "specialized in this type of surgery for 10 years"! After she took half [only! So, I guess that I was "lucky". {sic}] of my thyroid, she discovered {oops!} that MY THYROID WAS 100% HEALTHY! She alibied that "this was the first time in 10 years!" that this had happened. Really? Why me? And I STILL got stuck with bills and co-pays....so, I paid for her error in both cash and half my HEALTHY thyroid. Color me unhappy with NYU Langone and their "surgeon". read more

The recent negative reviews aren't wrong, unfortunately. As someone formerly very satisfied with this office, I can attest. Dr. Cardone is still a fantastic doctor, one I would trust with any orthopedic issue. I've referred my fiancee to him (which should demonstrate my level of trust, since she would kick my butt if I steered her wrong). Dr. Czanko has moved on, but Dr. Ahn has been a great replacement. But this isn't about the quality of care, which is excellent, but rather the office itself. Doctors' offices are one place where it is unwise to skimp on service. Availability is key. Moreover, patients -- many of whom are highly stressed -- require an appropriate level of attention and civility. In my review a couple years ago, I noted that the "staff isn't always quite up to the same level [as the doctors]." This has turned out to be a bit of an understatement. Getting someone on the phone to schedule an appointment or get an approval is still basically impossible, and leaving a voicemail is useless because nobody responds. Additionally, it has become nearly impossible to get into see any of the doctors -- 6-8 week waits for a check-up, waits of several months to see specialists (if they're even accepting new patients). Perhaps worst of all, the reception staff behavior is beyond the pale: rude, disinterested, sullen in response to questions, forgetful, and far more interested in talking on the phone (to non-patients, obviously) or their own conversations than assisting the many people waiting. It may be an issue of scale, and this being a smaller office within a larger entity, but nonetheless -- for an office with the volume of patients they see, either they need to double (or triple) their staff, or they need to get some people in there who give a darn. Otherwise they risk losing loyal patients like me. read more

I went for the exams of a green card application they ensured the cost for all the exams would have been max 300$, I've been very clear that I was still waiting for an insurance because I was just being employed. they ensured me that the total amount was 300$, not more!! So I decided to do it and not wait for the insurance. Well, I ended up paying 1.500$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There is no ethic in this place!!! I have both my PCP and my gyno at this office and they're both fantastic. My PCP, Dr. Ahn, is great. I get serious white coat syndrome and he took the time to calm my nerves and answered every single one of my questions. My dad even liked him! He's definitely going to become our family doctor. My gyno, Dr. Cardamone was also fantastic. I changed to her since I wanted my PCP and gyno in the same system and she was so diligent and made me so comfortable I couldn't be happier. read more

Offices are on both the second and fourth floors. The second floor is pleasant and well-organized. The fourth floor was added section by section as more doctors came to serve this location. The additional docs are very welcome for downtowners. However, the fourth floor has various entrances off the main hall and so it is less "pulled together." Overall, services here are excellent and convenient. The docs give you the time you need and are not over-scheduled. (I think because they are "on payroll" and not hustling to earn like other docs.) read more

The billing and referral department is abysmal. We are now on our 4th call to address specialist referrals which were never sent in the first place. They apparently can't even get it together to send proper referrals within the same facility! Lastly, it is difficult to even get anyone directly on the phone. When at the appointment with the dermatologist Dr. Katz at NYU Langone Trinity Center I almost got cold being in the gown. Cold AC air blows from the ceiling and no way to stay warm. My wife was at her appointment in the other room, she said it was hot in there. More than a year ago I posted the similar complaint about the office of the cardiologist Dr Schulman. Nothing changed. Apparently, in New York City, you're only supposed to have to schlep a few blocks to see your doctor, or in a worst case scenario, take the subway a few stops. I'm glad I didn't know about this unspoken rule before booking an appointment at a doctor's office that's nowhere near my workplace or home (it's near Wall Street). Because it's actually worth traveling here, even whilst in the throes of illness, for good care. First of all, it's in a lovely building, with a well-kept waiting room and very efficient front desk staff, so you feel well taken care of from the start. Next, they have super-fancy machines that identify you by fingerprint, so no one can steal your identity a la Gattica. There's free coffee and tea while you wait, and a few decent magazines, but to be honest, I've never been kept waiting long enough to even settle in. It's usually ten minutes, tops, before they bring you back. The nurses are brisk and polite, and my doctor, Dr. Czanko, is usually there within another ten minutes to see me for whatever my current ailment might be. She's young but she knows her stuff, and I've never had an issue getting a referral or the right medication from her. (There's also several pharmacies nearby, which makes picking up your meds pretty easy.) On your way out, you'll see Lisa, who is probably one of the top ten most adorable humans on the planet. She'll call you "sweetie" or "cookie" every time, and it just makes you feel good. Because who doesn't want to be babied a little bit when they go to the doctor? And if you have any followup needs, you can actually EMAIL YOUR DOCTOR by using their online medical records service, and see the results of your tests immediately without having to go back. This. Is. Huge. (As should already be clear now, I can be a lot more forthcoming and logical when typing than I might be in person.) For this feature alone, I am enamored with this doctor's office. The reason I can't give them five stars, however, is because I've had a few irritating run-ins with one particular tech when I've gone for blood tests or x-rays that have left me feeling like I got the one grumpy waitress at a great restaurant. I'm not sure if she doesn't like her job or just doesn't like my handwriting (at one point she criticized me for not writing clearly enough on a chart, and glared at me in a condescending way I haven't been glared at since my second grade cursive classes). But in any case, she's been brusque and rude with me a few times, and that's never fun. The way I see it, with my non-medical-professional eyes, is that in a primary care facility, you pretty much have one job, and that is to make people feel better. If you can't do that, it's probably time to move on to something else, like prison guarding or something. That said, if you are a normal person without much need for blood tests or x-rays, you will probably only have a magical experience here at the Trinity Center. And even if you do require these things, it's still going to be an above-par experience. Wherever you live, I promise, this place is well worth the shlep. read more

I've generally been happy as a patient at this doctor's office. Dr. Rose is friendly and knowledgeable, and quick to respond to emails. The front office staff is also kind and prompt. I can usually get an appointment in short order. Only had one problem with this office, which is why I'm bumping them down a star. I was feeling horribly on a Friday - sore throat, fever, body aches, etc. I tried to get an appointment. A nurse called me back and told me that it was probably just "the change of weather," and recommended gargling with salt water. Needless to say I had to go to Urgent Care the next day, and it turns out I had a 103 fever and a bacterial infection. That was my only negative experience here. I saw Dr. Rose the following Monday and she was kind and attentive, though my illness had been addressed at the Urgent Care. read more

I don't know how anyone can give this place a bad review. This medical facility is fantastic. Their staff is so caring. I went there today. I went to see a lung specialist. I am having issues since I had COVID. And when I arrived I had a really bad migraine. I get chronic migraines. I was feeling nauseated, dizzy, hot and in pain. So they sat me down by a window, opened the window so I could get some fresh air and even gave me one of their paper masks to wear instead of the cloth mask I was wearing cause they thought it would be more comfortable for me because I felt like I was suffocating. The lady there came and checked on me in the waiting room to make sure I was ok.I really appreciated it. And the doctors there have such good bedside manner. They are patient kind and understanding. They listen to what you have to say, take your concerns seriously and explain everything to you in detail. Also it's one stop for everything you need-doctors, blood tests, x-rays, sonograms. Most tests you can get done there. Really great place. read more

This place is AWESOME. By far my favorite medical center ever. I feel like I hit the jackpot finding this place and having it be so close to where I spend most of my time. The staff are all really polite (especially Lisa, at the front desk--she's one of those people who calls everyone "cookie" or "my darling" but instead of it being patronising, it's actually adorable), there's a free k-cup machine and lots of comfy seating and tvs. It takes a while to get an appointment (generally when I call them, the first available slot is about a week later, maybe two), so I wouldn't use them for acute stuff, but for checkups and chronic issues, I'm all about it. They're really punctual, too; only once have I had to wait at ALL, and that was because somebody showed up with a semi-emergency at the same time as my appointment. Every doctor I've seen here has been really awesome--smart, articulate, good listeners. I think they've done a really great job having a lot of resources available--they have primary care doctors, an ENT, an ob/gyn, a dermatologist, and like six other specialties, haha. Basically, everyone you would generally need or want all in one place. I hate going to the doctor anyway, so having everyone I might want to see conveniently located in a nice place makes my life so much less stressful. Plus they just started using a new electronic records system that makes your life so. freaking. easy. You can request refills for prescriptions online, email your doctor and office staff, see your test results, etc. etc. and it sends you appointment reminders, too. I had no idea I could love technology that much. Literally my only complaint is with the automated phone system they use to call you for appointment reminders, because for some reason it's set to call you after normal business hours, and getting a call at like 8pm totally freaks me out because no one ever calls me then so I always think it's some sort of emergency, haha. read more

I went to get a respiratory test today because my doctor had found a slight restriction in my breathing. He gave me the referral and then I called them here. When I first called to make an appointment, the lady on the phone told me that I needed to fax the referral in. I thought that this was going to be the beginning of a painful process. I was totally wrong. I got the appointment a few weeks in advance. Everyone from the front desk, the doctor's assistant who did most of my testing, the doctor (Dr. Sukumaran), and x-ray technician were awesome! I found out all of my results right there with no waiting at all. That in itself, was really great not to have to wait weeks to get results!
