I am extremely concerned about my experience at Chelsea Clinton Community Health Center. On January 22, I visited for what was supposed to be a simple DoxyPEP follow-up appointment. However, I am now receiving bills totaling over $900, which were never clearly explained to me in advance. The issue with my insurance also remains unresolved. After contacting my insurance, I was informed that there appear to be billing errors associated with these charges, which raises serious concerns about how my visit was processed. During that same visit, I waited for more than an hour without any clear communication. When I respectfully explained that I could not continue waiting, the interaction with the front desk felt dismissive, unprofessional, and lacking basic respect. As a Latino patient whose first language is not English, I felt discriminated against and unsupported during this experience. The overall situation made me uncomfortable and concerned about whether I was treated differently due to language or background. I submitted a formal complaint at the clinic on January 22 regarding this situation, and to date I have not received any response or follow-up. At this point, my main concerns are the lack of transparency in billing, the unresolved insurance issue, the reported billing errors, and the absence of any accountability after formally reporting what happened. No. The man who took my blood did not wash his hands despite a large sign intended for him, placed over the sink, inside the small office! He just got off the phone, put gloves on, adjusting the fingertips of the first glove with his dirty hand and then the other glove, with his dirty-gloved fingers. I was nervous. I said nothing despite having had a family member die from a hospital infection probably due to a similar scenario that I witnessed and was traumatized by... Sincerely poor communication a member of Fountain House had struggled to have a therapist after hospitalization and then the therapist had a medical leave but did not tell him and the center was supposed to get him a temporary therapist until she came back but didnt and said she never communicated to them and he made several wasted trips and had no therapy and then had to fight to get therapist and they also have long lines single threading you to check in for appointments causing appointments to be late and this is typical for how mentally ill are victimized with lack of respect lack of communication lack of courtesy and lack off accessibility for service he is on verge of breakdown we will get lawyer and i am writing to document and file legal complaint read more

I'm shocked by these reviews. All of my main doctors for 3+ years have been through Chelsea Clinton and I've had such a good experience! I started with obgyn, then pcp, then therapy and psychiatry. All of my specialist referrals have been pretty decent too. They're harder to get to on the phone, but their online portal is pretty good for communicating. Definitely recommend! read more

In the five years I've been going there, I have never had a bad experience. Molly Anderson have been my provider for about 4 years and I find her very caring, and responsive. I was surprised to see her name in a bad review. I've never waited over 15/20 minutes to be seen. The only drawback is it takes them a while to issue referrals. It takes almost a month, but I put that on the fact that it is a community clinic with many patients. read more

Making sure to check your temp. Register with proper info the security also lets you know what floor to go to. 4th floor. Always a hello and smiles. They always are cheerful, helpful and make sure everything in your appt is all correct. Great with making you future appt which is very very helpful and much easier that calling in. Dec 30 2022 with Dr. Jackson went great as usual. What a cheerful, friendly, informative and delightful lady. Aliya(dental assitant) is also awesome. Every time always greeted by name and smiles a. It's never a cold feeling atmosphere. We always have small talk and laughs. The best part is Dr Jackson also talks to you as a person. She very caring and patient. Dr Jackson and Aliya (dental assitant) make sure the questionnaire is done and also ask you again about allergies, meds you're on, pain or discomfort that brought you in. read more

I'm honestly upset that most people haven't reviewed Ryan Chelsea-Clinton so well. What's up w/ that?? My spouse and I have been going there for care for over a decade (on and off), and have had many needs met there. From eye doctor appointments to therapy to gynecology visits, we've experienced care on multiple fronts. We consider it to be a blessing that this community health center is in our area -- and is even walkable from where we live. That's awesome!! Maybe others take it for granted. I'm not sure. Okay, maybe it is true that not all of the customer service interactions that I've had there are stellar, yet most people who work there are quite pleasant. Also, both my honey and I recently got flu shots (vaccines) from Lihi Bakal, RN and she was excellent. The stand out doctor there (in our joint view) is def Dr. Edward Solis -- who is an outstanding care provider. He has been my spouse's doctor for years, and she genuinely enjoys speaking with him. She looks forward to it! Also, in terms of the front of house, so to speak, both Hugo and Dwayne are our faves. They are kind, professional, competent and warm-hearted people. Sketchy and rude: attacking... Hostile Bad vibes at front desk: be prepared for rude unhelpful guy: recently went to the front desk to enquire about mental health services at the centre the guy was so unbelievably rude he practically chased me out the door. He talked to me like I was 12 years old. I don't really think I'll ever go back to that place again because of how unfriendly and unprofessional he was. Just unbelievably angered that I asked a couple of questions: I have never no where been told you have to have a complete physical exam before you can get mental health services... So I said that and then he offered up an offensive sneer.... (like isnt it obvious ?? that you have to pay an extra $300 dollars for a full psychical before you can see a mental health therapist ??") What ?? I imagine I interrupted him surfing the Internet and it was obvious he really didn't want to answer any questions or be kind or friendly: this guy should not be dealing with the public at all... Dismissive and angry. kept looking at his computer - like "can I go back to my Instagram account...now ???" The people in the neighborhood all say: "do not go there no matter what: it's a nightmare." Health care is really bad here. Residents and technologists are nasty and unconcerned about people's health. Referrals come in the mail months later instead of just giving it to you at the end of the visit. What decent health care does that?? 15 years I've been with them. They are currently under the worst management. The front desk staff is real unprofessional, they are generally responsive but the organization produces no resultsbas a whole. I cannot squeeze any mental health referrals from them no matter how I hard I try. Any initial support is a joke as they just put you in a cue to noone . This is after a major stabbing. Neither one of their locations will see me. This has been ongoing, it's my second attempt to get support. Forget about having a PCP here, I've never met mine, I always get an underlying who disappears by my next appointment. It's absolutely exhausting to deal with them. Awful. Booster scheduled ahead of time and electronically confirmed. Arrived, my first day off as a teacher, in 30 degree temps to find the place was closed (and had pre-planned to close) for the day. Why did they have appts available a week ago for a day it was going to closed? Why did they confirm an appt for a day it was going to be closed? Why didn't anyone call to correct it, if the office allowed it to be scheduled in error? Awful organization and communication system in the middle of the pandemic. No human answering the phones could provide any helpful information. Useless customer service. 0 stars and would never enter this place in the future from what it looked like on the outside and from the poor organizational skills shown. I wrote a review previously giving them the benefit of the doubt, but this place is simply horrible. They USED to be good, but they've gotten so caught up in red tape that they essentially ignore the needs of the patients. The doctors are dependent on the staff and too much of the staff are just lazy and uncaring. Appointments must be made months in advance. emergency. If your doctor is unavailable, or on vacation and can't be contacted you can't refill a prescription even if it's an emergency. When you call, they keep you on hold and then hang up on you. It was a good idea to have an affordable clinic, but now it's just for the dregs with no other options and they treat the patients as such -- like unimportant poor people. Drab depressing place, it reminds me of a prison hospital in some low budget film. The staff is totally disinterested and they let you know it. The dentist I saw was an elderly woman who couldn't even view the scan I received from an oral surgeon about my case. She then had her assistant take the most x-rays I've ever had done in one sitting. At that point I knew I wasn't coming back. BEWARE I have to write this review as the doctor who I just found out isn't a doctor but a nurse practitioner. Even though I was told I was seeing a doctor. She is who I visited at the clinic and she was dangerously incompetent. Her name is Soo Choo. She didn't even understand my condition enough to realize you don't take a blood test after you take your meds. It is always done after fasting over night. Then she gave me my prescription but only for a short time to force me to come back and pay again. This is after she promised she would renew my prescription now I am completely out of a necessary medication and she refuses to renew it, even though I have booked another appointment at the clinic. This is a daily medication that I have been taking for 20 years. She clearly does not care or understand you can't function with out the medication. read more

Not great care - but not terrible care either. All the doctors I've seen there were competent, but some were a lot better than others. Waits are long - but at $59.00 a visit, what can you expect? For poor people's medicine, Ryan is OK. Ditto for dental and eye care. If you can afford a private doctor, go for it! If you can't, the RC is not a bad choice. It is what it is. My experience was, as you should expect, mixed. Some of the staff are great, others are just awful. Yes, there are too many lines to wait on, but that's how they've structured the place. Each person there has a tiny job, rather than have one person handle more than one thing. Meaning, pay here, make an appointment here, check records over there, see this nurse for one thing, another nurse for another thing. It could be streamlined but it's not, so we have to deal. So, with no insurance it was fine. A clean place, which is really important to me, and if you have to wait, the waiting area is big, bright, airy and yeah, they've got some TV's. As for the Dr., I was fortunate to have a good experience. He spent a good amount of time talking to me and examining me to figure out what was going on and over time - meaning a bunch of tests, that of course were stretched out over a few weeks and different locations - again, no streamlining - we pinpointed the problem and it was treated, and great follow up. All good. Now that I have insurance, I might even continue to see him in his private practice, and that says a lot. read more

And we are worried about Obamacare? I have been a client at this clinic for 4 years. I have probably seen a different "doctor" 85% of the times I have been here. When I finally had an assigned PCP, he was so depressed at the thought of working here I felt I should charge him $200 an hour for listening to him vent (yes you, Dr. S.) How bad? The dentist filled a tooth without fully cleaning which led to an abscess that made me look like the elephant man and an ER visit. Constantly send rx to wrong pharmacy, wrong prescriptions, 10 calls to refill line before I get a response and they still screw up the rx.
