Had an eye exam and purchased a beautiful pair of Guess glasses at this location. On my first visit the doctor and staff were very nice and the exam and purchase process were easy. Although the service was decent the is the second time in eight months that my glasses that I purchased there fell apart. Literally picked them up to put on and arm fell off completely broken...TWICE. Be careful about what you purchase at Visionworks. Very disappointed. read more

My daughter and I both had appointments. We arrived early and was greeted with smiles and politeness. The young ladies that helped us went above the normal customer service standards and were great. Dr. Monique was excellent with my daughter, she was patient and explained everything so my daughter (10 years old) could understand. The doctor made extra time for us to insure my daughter received all of her eye exams in one visit so we would not have to return. Overall I was/am very satisfied with our experience. read more

Vision Works saved our vacation. I managed to mangle my glasses to the point I thought they might not be repairable. The person at Vision Works was able to straighten them & without any charge even though I was willing to pay whatever it took As a tourist from Nebraska who would probably never set foot in their office again this was fantastic! Terrible, terrible service at this location. I walked in for an exam and to order contacts. I should have known when no one greeted me or asked to help me...Eventually had exam and ordered contact lenses to be shipped to my home by overnight. No one called to tell me a package was shipped or anything. I called the office to inquire and then they told me they shipped it but they had the address wrong, so it came back. They said they shipped it out again and to expect it in a couple days. Well...again no package..so I called again. They said they had the address wrong again so it came back again!!!!! The worst part is, it was the store manager shipping packages without confirming addresses. I called the regional office and complained. When I mentioned I was a lawyer, they quickly apoligized and took my complaint. They said they would contact the office to get me my order and a discount for my frustration. I received a call the next day from the manager. She took my address AGAIN and confirmed it with me. She said she would ship my order the next day. She also said that she would send me some free contacts as well in a few days. When I got home tonight, I had a note from UPS that THE ADDRESS IS STILL INCORRECT and that they were holding the package. The kicker is that not only was my address still incorrect, but now my name was twisted around in such a way it was unrecognizable. I have a very simple, common name..How could it be mistaken in that way? Out of spite?? Then, retrieved voice mails that the manger sent out my bonus order and it should be here tomorrow!!! OK..another package for ???? and with the address incorrect. My experience was terrible. Im still waiting for contact lenses that I should have had a week and a half ago, I must say that I patronized a Visionworks in Chicago, Lincoln Park neighborhood and they were excellent. I only went to this Visionworks because of my positive experience with the Chicago store....I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!! Also, the only reason Im giving them one star is because I was required to. I went to Vision Works in Silver Spring because it's convenient location in the middle of downtown Silver Spring. Everyone there was very friendly and helpful when I had some issues with my insurance. The wait time was minimal and the store was extremely clean. Additionally, Dr. Heaps did a great job. He fit me for contacts and adjusted my prescription slightly. I see so much better now. The exam was so cheap. It was only $19 and glasses were buy one get one free. I will definitely be going back there for my next eye exam. read more

Called at 9:30am on Saturday and scheduled an appointment for 10:45am the same day. I was given my exam by Dr. Pham and she was pretty cool. I was recommended the polycarbonate frames which would bring my total to 147 for 1 pair. I decided instead to go with the basic plastic lenses after doing some research online and ended up paying 117 total with taxes for a pair of glasses plus the exam. My glasses were made within 30-45 minutes of the exam. read more

I saw Dr. Bhagat who I really liked and I feel I had a good experience from the provider however, please don't take walk-ins when you have people scheduled for an appointment. I work and only had a limited amount of time for this appointment. My appt was at 12 and I wasn't seen by the provider until 12:30 because they took a walk-in- but not just one walk-in, but a husband and wife walk in so essentially 2 patients. I don't think that's right so the scheduler needs to be more conscious of people's time. Otherwise good experience. Everyone was friendly and I feel I had a comprehensive exam. read more

Very poor workmanship and customer service. I took in two pairs of glasses to have the lenses replaced. When I went to pick them up, one pair's lenses were loose and wiggly in the frame, while the other pair had a visible gap between the lens and the frame. One of their staff asked if the lenses were falling out while I was wearing them, as though that is the measure of properly made eyewear?! They eventually replaced one pair of lenses, with some minimal improvement. They told me they would replace the lenses in the other pair, but simply kept them for a week and texted me to pick up them up, at which time it was clear that they had simply shifted the lens in the frame because now the gap was in a different place (another staff member couldn't find that replacement order in the computer, which made it clear they hadn't even intended to fix that pair). No hint of an apology. Sad to see the lack of pride in their product and their attitude. Go elsewhere! read more

This place is a complete ripoff! I went Feb 10 (2018) for an eye exam and to get a 6 month supply of contacts. It's now March 30 & I still don't have them! I've been given the wrong contacts twice. On top of that, no one returns my phone calls. When I call them, I get put on hold for long periods of time. Even when I went for the appointment, I wasn't seen until about 30 minutes after my appointment time. If I don't get my contacts within a few days, I will be reporting fraud through my insurance. I will never come back here again! read more

Great experience. Sales person knew her stuff. Very helpful. No BS. Just the facts. Purchased glasses on a BOGO free deal. Got all the bells and whistles for about $600. I went here based on positive reviews and it has turned out to be a huge mistake. I showed up for my first appointment and had to wait for 30 minutes before the doctor was ready. I was told simply that "you always have to wait to see a doctor". Um, no. Then I'm given a pair of trial lenses that are completely unwearable, although the doctor assured me that they "fit". I insisted on the same brand I was wearing before, which she finally agreed to order. So I go back to get the trial lenses she has ordered and the ones she thought would work didn't, but thankfully--at my insistence--she had ordered the same prescription I had before and those worked. But then when she entered the prescription into the computer, she put in the wrong one!! I'm still trying to get it sorted out so that I can order new lenses. I've never seen such incompetence. read more

They Broke my Gucci glasses then gave me $175 for my glasses. I payed $300 for my glasses. I was soooo upset. They did say that if I brought them another pair that they would do my lenses for free. So I took them another pair of glasses and now its taking almost a month to get them back. I will never deal with this company again. read more

Their staff are decent but their prices are a ripoff. I paid more for glasses with insurance here than elsewhere without insurance. They only give contact prescription for their own in house brand. They pretty much try to drain as much from you as they can, and nickel and dime you for everything. Their promotions are misleading and won't actually save you anything. Do yourself a favor stay clear of all visionworks stores. They have a ridiculous amounts of complaints as an overall company. read more

I got glasses and contacts from there and was helped every step of the way. I realized there was a small problem with the folding of my glasses but they were happy to order new ones and exchange them, thumbs up for good service! not to mention how much space there is to walk around or sit and relax, most eye doctor/glasses places ive been to have you packed in there with everyone so tightly and uncomfortably. thanks again! read more

The staff in the front desk are very unprofessional. They did not know how to deal with our insurance company.They took down all the information by phone and when i arrived, they were not able to pull out the information until other staff members got involved. Also after the optometrist finished the exam and gave them the order, an incorrect measurement was placed until corrected by myself later. Very slow service and wait time. Finally, after everything was completed, an additional order needed to be placed which took 9 days to be available for pick up, not 3-5 days as claimed. STAY AWAY! read more

do not go to this doctor he is terrible. he prescribed me the wrong rx and i have been fighting with multiple vision works to give me my correct contact lens prescriptions that hsvent changed in five years. someone take away this mans license he's the worst terrible customer service i sincerely suggest you seek elsewhere for eyecare. this office is a joke. read more

Unprofessional staff, very expensive frames (for the quality and the prices were higher because I had insurance!), and when I needed a copy of my prescription, they have done everything in their power not to give it to me. I've attempted to get it by phone, by facing a consent, and by showing up at the store. Each time there is a different excuse - we're getting ready to close - sorry (it was 10 minutes to closing), you have to sign a consent form and fax it to us, but put me on hold and then dropped the call before giving me their fax number. I recently took the mandatory class from Visionworks for wearing contact lenses. Arguably, it took much longer for me to safely insert contact lenses for the first time than other customers. Yet, the staff were patient and understanding of my uneasiness as they carefully coached me through the process. Excellent customer service. read more
