This place had a friendly eye care associate, Abraham and terrific Doctor Ryan Wurkis, who is originally from Concord. Dr. Wurkis had the best way of explaining terminology in layman's terms as well as a friendly disposition that could probably make anyone feel welcomed. Happily, we were seen right on time. Waiting was kept to a minimum. The staff had every COVID-19 safety precaution in place, but the single unisex restroom was in dire need of a cleaning. Though we are taking our prescriptions to an online fulfillment site, this visit was painless, dare I say pleasant, even. Worth the trip!

The staff is not very friendly. It's apparent their is a riff in the office or they just would rather be somewhere else. When the great customer service was mentioned the office noses got bent out of shape. Like I said Dr. Wurkis is great. I had a issue with one eye. He gave me some drops. Later I got the same problem with my other eye. I called the office and explained my issue. Was told Dr. Wurkis was out that day and the following week. The person I spoke to said they would check and give me a call in the next couple of hours. I know they have other drs. That could have prescribed the meds in Dr. Wurkis's absence. I never got a call back and it's the weekend now and got no relief. Great drs never stay in an environment like this for long. I give 2 stars because the Dr was great. They loose 3 stars because the staff sucks.

While making my appointment I also made one for my daughter, also checking to make sure her insurance was excepted as well, it was. We were told we would have to pay $45 dollars for her to be seen with the kind of insurance she had, was perfectly fine with that. We get there and they tell us her insurance is out of network! Absolutely disgusted with the inconsistencies of lies that were told to just get us there. 0/10 experience will never go back and will never recommend to anyone.

After filling out the patient history form on the eye pad they take you in for the initial eye checkup they tell you put your head here and put your head there, there will be a puff of air etc. etc. then they let you know you will be seen soon, just when I was called in to see the doctor it was an online "Doctor" on a screen, it's actually a virtual exam by a young man that looked no older that 20 years old. It was really awkward because the technician plays the middle man between the patient and the "doctor" on the screen. OK and here's the kicker the staff does not speak unless you ask them a question, the "doctor's" only job besides sitting at home was to say "better one or better two" there is nothing more to the exam, there is nothing more from the staff no questions like: Do you have headaches? How's your driving at night? Or ask my daughter how is your vision at school? There is ZERO basic human conversation from them. We felt extremely uncomfortable being there. It reminded me of "Invasion of the Body Snatchers"

I booked an appointment at Union Family and discovered that Dr. Bhat has all the technology and knowledge to address my eye issues. He and his staff are friendly and extremely personable! Dr Phifer is the best. He's been my optometrist for what seems like forever! He's very thorough and…read moretruly cares for your eye health. He makes you feel very comfortable and at ease while examining you. He never pushes anything he doesn't think you absolutely need. I also think it's pretty awesome that they have a machine that takes a 3D picture of your eye. This replaces the dilation of your eye. Which was great because I never really liked the dilating of my eyes. The staff is very helpful and courteous. I appreciate his work.
