I have no complaints with the quality of the service provided here but I have been here for over 2 hours already for a routine eye exam and frame selection. I made my appointment early so that I could enjoy my day off, instead I am stuck spending my afternoon at Visionworks. It seems there should be more support for the frame selection/ check out as all the tables are full and only one person is available to help. My appointment was at 10:15 AM and I didnt leave there til after 2pm. That being said, I will most likely make any follow up appointments during the week. read more

Wife and I went there on the busiest and last day of the year, lady at front kept everyone in order and was even able to look up my insurance when I could not find it. I actually didn't buy glasses from here but I used their repair service. Which is excellent. I had a problem with the eye pad on my glasses so I dropped in on my way home from work, Mind you no appointment. I was waited on almost immediately. Unfortunately that day the guy who was an expert at fixing my problem was gone for the day and I would have to return the next day. I decided to come back on my lunch the next day and I was helped immediately when I walked in. He had me fixed in less then 1-2 minutes and cleaned my glasses and no charge. This is by far the worst Visionworks in my area. We've had issues with this location providing us with the correct prescription 3 times thus far; twice for my daughter's contacts and also for my son's eye glasses. I was told that both of their prescriptions were entered into their system wrong. It took approximately a month for them to get the correct contacts to us for my daughter. Who knows how long it will take for them to remake my son's glasses. So far, we have been told it will take another 10-14 days. I expect more from a company such as this. I've never had issues with the Visionworks at 6501 S Fry Rd. In the future, will use the S. Fry location. read more

The representative was SUPER unhelpful when I came in to see what benefits were available through my insurance plan. She did not want to help me at all. She said she needed a prescription in order to see anything. I DON'T WEAR GLASSES! I JUST WANT TO SEE WHAT BENEFITS I GET THROUGH BLUE CROSS/BLUE SHIELD. Walmart was able to tell me quickly with no hesitation. I can't even imagine being a paying customer to a business with such low customer service standards. read more

Never was asked if I needed a fitting, I had to push the envelope a little to get a fitting or any interest in how they fit on my face if they looked crooked . I went to three different stores looking for frames and visionworks has the largest selection. They had a great deal going on and I ended up with two pairs for a price lower than what I expected to pay for one pair. The staff were super friendly. Javar is awesome and took time to go through multiple scenarios (i.e. Using insurance, no insurance, different lens types). He was very knowledgeable and professional. Service was good but the product I received is terrible. Took my glasses back after receiving them because the transition coating started to peel. They did it again and it's still peeling. They tried to tell me it was because they were scratched. I knew it wasn't. Had the same transition coating done in another state two years ago...NO problem. I am going to have to take them back again to have the coating done...peeling. This is ridiculous!!! Wish I could take my glasses somewhere else. Have been dealing with Visionworks for years. My glasses were sitting crooked on my face - unwearable in my opinion. I purchased my glasses in the medical center and did not want to make the long trip there so I stopped in at Visionworks, hoping they could help me. Although I didn't have an appointment, Jackie said she could help. It has always been a challenge getting glasses adjusted to my liking, but Jackie was able to adjust them perfectly in just one try. Great service from the elder lady that works in retail she pays attention to detail and is really sweet! It's hard working in this pandemic so I really appreciated her being patient with me. The white young girl that sold me glasses seems very annoyed to work there and doesn't help at all. She also doesn't like to repeat herself I came in today to fix my glasses the little white girl with curly hair didn't even acknowledge me nor greet customers besides me either. I hope they train her how to communicate with patients it's worth getting that commission. Anyways overall there selections are good and so are the prices . I might even come back next year if they continue to have good selection frames and service. read more

Staff in the doctors office is EXTREMELY rude. The entire appointment was rushed and I felt like I wasn't moving quick enough. One of the ladies at the front was doing the test on me where you look at the blinking light through a machine. She goes "I need you to stop blinking and look straight ahead." I didn't even say anything back to her. Then I went onto the machine that blows air into your eyes. The lady firmly stated "I need to you put your head here and don't move until I'm done." I don't care who you are, but there is no excuse to talk to a paying patient this way. Also, while I was waiting for my examination there was a man who walked in with his daughter wanting to make an appointment. He was foreign and was having trouble understanding how insurance worked. Instead of one person calmly explaining to him how insurance works, all three of the ladies at the front started yelling at him. The man and his daughter ended up walking out. I hope someone of importance reads this because this behavior by your staff should not be tolerated. I would have given this a one star, but I chose two because the staff in the glasses department is awesome. Completely helped me get over my nerves from my eye exam. read more

So after playing phone tag with with gentleman named Damien, my issues were completely resolved. I spoke with him for about 20 min...going in depth of what had transpired the last few visits, not only did he sincerely apologize for everything...he offered a new pair of lenses with sunlight transitioning for free. That made my day I gotta tell ya. Today I went and got the new lenses cut and placed in and the manager was UBER nice. She personally attended to my needs and made sure there are no issues with the lenses. Hats off to you visionworks for making sure this customer was happy. read more

Went in for lenses only. I already purchased two pair of glasses two years previous to this appointment. The two ladies, Sumona and Michelle were very, very busy but, were professional, polite and did their best to care for each patient. I waited quite awhile, that's the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 stars. I picked up lenses which were very well done and Sumona did an excellent job taking care of me on my first visit. She is very thorough. Michelle also took care of several clients, during my wait and they both are assets to Visionworks. Their discount was better than my insurance discount. Javar Smith was a wonderful help to me! I had to get my nursing-home bound mom's glasses adjusted and couldn't figure out how to make that happen. Very dissatisfied with vison works on fry rd. and i10 Houston TX. Vision works put prescription lenses in my persol frames. Went in to have lenses replaced handed them to the manager John (very rude guy) he comes back 30 min. later however the lenses are not in correct. He said come back when I have a better tech. on hand days later after looking at frames closely they are cracked spoke with female manager who now refuse to replace my persol frames read more
