The dr was great. The person who checked me in and made me get authorization for the visit was the rudest person I ever have had the privilege to meet. She padded my order with options (all the options) I did not need or want without my knowledge or consent. I figured out the transition thing by accident. I asked "transition glasses? Like they are sunglasses outside and change back to regular glasses inside?" I only realized it because the dude helping a young couple described transition lenses and I asked for a certain type of lens right before that and the woman who was making my order told me I couldn't have transition glasses with that request. I don't know why, but I was thinking she meant the bifocals. That "catch" brought down my cost from around $1,000 dollars to about $450. When I got home and saw my receipt, I realized there were so many more things added to my order that I couldn't and wouldn't have allowed. I will NEVER GO BACK! Not even for adjustments. The same person who was rude in the first visit was the same individual who "helped" me when I picked up my order. I asked her to tighten up one pair of glasses and she looked at me like I was REALLY putting her out. She did warm and bend them and didn't care if they fit or not. I just left. 100% would NOT recommend! It's too bad too for them. Both my mother in law and father in law are due for new glasses and the insurance has changed. So, they could have been customers. I will be searching for a better option for them. They are 91 & 86 years old. My mother in law took out her tablet and checked the on-line reviews AFTER I went there. And she said that the reviews were horrendous. My husband went there first. It's why I went there. He is neurodivergent; so, he isn't always aware of how he is being treated by others. And he doesn't care. I have raised neurodivergent children and my husband and I have been married for almost 31 years. I wanted to give the staff grace. I did. She's not neurodivergent, she's just rude and/or hates her job. While I was looking for my frames, the male front desk worker read a review out loud. Everyone without hearing issues could clearly hear the review. It was so bad that I should have run out of the store and gotten my glasses elsewhere. Please don't go there. And read the reviews of other providers. They seem to be accurate in this case. read more

Made an appointment online a few hours beforehand, arrived early, was seen early, was out within an hour. Staff were respectful and kind overall, and friendly to me as an LGBTQ patron. I had one eye that was very reactive (blinking) during the tests and contact fitting, and staff allowed me plenty of time to adjust and retry. Selection of frames was good. Haven't gotten my new glasses yet, but felt as if the reviews on here were negative compared to the treatment I received. Fair warning, getting into the parking lot is a pain, but that's more the fault of the state route. read more

My appointment was at the Hamilton Place Mall location at 3:00pm. I arrived at 2:50pm. A member of staff checked me in quickly and reviewed my benefits with me and then instructed me to look at frames. I looked at frames for 15 minutes and was then escorted to a waiting area in the back close to the exam rooms. I waited while another person was seen by a technician. I continued to wait another 15 minutes while I watched the tech have conversations with coworkers in the break room. I left after waiting for 40 minutes! I understand wait times occur, but I'm not going to waste my time waiting on a tech to finish "what did you have for lunch today" conversation! I appreciate the staff that were working and doing their jobs, but unfortunately the one team member made everyone look bad! read more

Not at all professional!! Used the location in Hixson.. I was there 3 hours with a make shift fill in doc. ( for a routine exam ) Had to wait a week to finally get my prescription which was wrong. Called countless times. Left countless messages. Finally spoke to managers twice at this location , yet nothing has been done to remedy my prescription. A total waste of time off work and money. Never have been so disappointed in a vision exam or experience!! read more

They do a good job of making your glasses. But their communication it TERRIBLE. If you live close and you can stop in easily to ask questions or find out if your glasses are back.. no problem. But if your more than a few miles... go somewhere else... Because they Do Not answer their phones... it goes to Corporate ... and you get the run around by recorded messages and you never will get the answer you need . Don't go to Visionworks, the manager was so unprofessional. I stopped in to get my glasses checked and another pair of glasses. The manager was helping someone and asked me to sit and wait, in the meantime 2 people came in she helped them but never acknowledged me. I finally said who's helping me, she sighed and continued to help other ppl coming into their establishment. She stepped around the corner and told some other associates to "help me" with all the body language. They have LOST my business as the manager went outside and was just shooting the Bo Bo with friends about personal stuff. Where is the "Professionalism" lady. I took my daughter here and the doctor was great. The front desk lady said her glasses would be ready in a day or two. Called back a week later and she told me to wait for the text in a rude manner. Two weeks out now, still no glasses and no word about it. They wont even answer their phone. I work during their business hours so unsure what else to do since there is no voicemail and nobody will pick up. read more

Just an okay vision place. I went in with an appointment, but they had a hard time finding me in the system. I waited about 20 minutes in the waiting area before I was seen by the tech. On a scale of 1-10 in the friendliness department the tech was a 2, but it was a Saturday and they were busy so I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and maybe I just caught her on a bad day. The quick eye exam was just that, quick. I was seated back in the waiting area to wait for the doctor to check my eyes again. She was very friendly, but again quick. The person I went with ended up needing glasses so we browsed frames and most are $120+ so if you're going in without vision insurance be prepared for that. Will I go back to this center? Probably not. It was incredibly fast when it came time with the actual tech and doctor that I didn't feel as though they were as thorough as they should or could've been. read more

I went to this location 2 years ago and received horrible service. Ordered my glasses incorrectly and then instead of reordering them. They just canceled the order. I thought I would try them again since I needed glasses. Walked in and the receptionist was arguing with a customer about what she could access and what she couldn't like the customer is suppose to know the process! Waited for 30 minutes and never received any acknowledgment or assistance. The receptionist went to lunch and no one helped me. I finally just walked out. A complete waste of time! A year ago - I was so impressed with the staff here! I went in for a second opinion and the eye doctor gave me a prescription and told me that the condition I had listed on my paperwork was "just an astigmatism" And not the condition I was worried about. I felt so confident in her. Fast forward to a year later. My vision was still suffering so I opted to visit an ophthalmologist. It turns out that have advanced eye disease in one of my eyes and the degeneration of my cornea has been happening over many years. The ophthalmologist said my case was "textbook". read more

Unfriendly, uncaring staff. Called and made an appointment for a recheck on contacts that weren't strong enough to see but they didn't actually enter it. When I arrived on-time for my appointment, they couldn't find it in their system. At that point, I became a nobody to them and they literally started ignoring me. The 2 girls at the front had a conversation among themselves about me, how they couldn't find the appointment, how they would "squeeze" me in. I wasn't part of this conversation until they told me to go sit in the waiting room. I waited while they took several people ahead of me. I ended up walking out. read more

I was there on 8/8 with my son getting him new glasses for school. The doctor did a great job but it was all down hill from there. My son transitioned into adult glasses and Michele the GM could not get the insurance code to work and assured me she would work on it early in the morning and give me a call to get it taken care of. When I called to reach out to her she was off and no one knew what I was talking about and very rude. My son needs these prescriptions for school and I feel like I was mislead. Where do I even start? The staff here are very rude. I'm 20 years old, and they spoke to me as if I were a child. I went in for a checkup after a year and a half due to Covid-19. I had been having issues with my right eye and getting headaches. As an NCAA lacrosse goalie, I need an accurate prescription. They said it would take 2 weeks or more JUST TO GET TRIAL LENSES. Then when I told them the prescription was not working for me, they got mad. I couldn't even see to drive home! They told my mother and I that we were wrong and they were going to hold my prescription....wtf. The staff were absolutely hard to work with. They never know how to run my dads employee insurance. Turns out I spoke with the doctor and she had no clue as to what happened. They gave me the wrong prescription and had to do the process all over again. As an NCAA athlete with a small window of time, I need contacts in a timely matter which didn't happen. I had to order them from a completely different place. NEVER AGAIN! read more
