She was a wealth of knowledge and such a fun person to spend the day with. Everywhere we went, she seemed to know everything. She interspersed personal anecdotes allowing us to get to know her better and to understand more about the area. Everything was included in the price of the tour. Lunch (of your choice - not just preset options), a beer at the brewery, and admission to the nature center were all taken care of. There were also snacks and water available in the van. We got lucky with a small group (4 people including us!), but the van only holds 13 people - much better than the giant coach busses! I cannot recommend Salmon Berry, and Michelle in particular, highly enough

Booked the glacier full day trekking tour and had Billy as my guide and couldn't have had a better…read moreexperience! Everything about dealing with this company was a breeze! I booked the day before, the morning of the owner texted me to confirm that I would be picked up at my Airbnb, Billy texted me notifying me when he was on his way. He was kind, responsive, full of information, considerate, and willing to tailor the speed and details to the needs of the group. He truly made this trip enjoyable. Van ride to the glacier is about 100 miles, we stopped at a gas station about half way. We stopped twice for two photo opportunities, and then made our way to the glacier gift shop to sign waivers. Then drove down to the launch point of the trek. There are ample bathrooms down there. Billy did not accompany us on the glacier but that was okay, our guide at the glacier was super sweet and knowledgeable. I felt more than safe! You walk across a floating bridge to get your microspikes and then we spent about 2-2.5 hours trekking the glacier. You do spend most of the hike on the rocky surface, but we did a pretty steep climb on the blue ice to get to the top of our area, we drank glacier water (amazing) and then saw the base of the glacier which was stunning. Post trek we returned to the tent and met up with Billy, he had snacks waiting for us and then drove us up to the lodge for lunch. After lunch we made the drive back, and again Billy was willing to accommodate different drop off points.

We had such a WONDERFUL day dog sledding with our guide Lori…read more Our day started with getting picked up at our hotel in downtown Anchorage. Hotel pickup was super helpful since we didn't rent a vehicle. Lori made a bathroom/coffee stop 45 minutes into the drive. We stopped at a local coffee shop which was so thoughtful instead of stopping at your typical gas station. Afterwards we arrived at our destination for the dog sled tour. We went during the winter and it gets very cold when you are moving on the sled! We are from Arizona so we didn't have snow boots or other items on hand. Luckily snow shoes, heavy gloves, beanies, etc were provided for us to change into so that we stayed nice and warm on the sled. We were paired up and got the chance to sit down and ride in the front of the sled which was perfect for taking videos and pictures. And the other person had the chance to stand up at the back of the sled. We warmed up with a delicious lunch at a nearby lodge and made our way back to Anchorage. Overall, we had such a great day thanks to Lori and the dog mushers. It was truly a one of a kind experience! Highly recommend 907 Tours.

I have to admit that I was a little shocked when they requested a 100% deposit ($4500) 10 months in…read moreadvance. but, I called them up about 1 week ahead of the two tours we booked, Katmai and Lake Clark National Parks and they were right on top of it. They called me back a day in advance to review arrival times, the itinerary, and what we needed for clothes, food, etc. We arrived a little early and offered coffee or spring water and a very comfortable seating area after we checked in. Our first day we were flown in a 10 seater for about 2 hours to a village called King Salmon, I believe where we were transferred to a 10 seater pontoon boat that flew us to the Brooks area of Katmai. it was a spectacular day of watching the bears feeding off the salmon at the falls. After spending much of the day exploring the park and taking a cultural tour we were flown back to Anchorage. The pilot was extremely knowledgeable of the history, geology, and geography of the flight and made a deviation to circle the volcano crater of Mt Spur. The next we arrived again and then escorted to another building where we watched a film on bear safety and then fitted with water proof boots for walking thru the waters to view the bears. we were flown in a smaller 6 seater plane (just 5 passenger) to Katmai NP where we watched bears digging for clams in several locations. A most excellent lunch box with our choice of a sandwich, granola bar, assorted chips, apple, and a tasty pasta salad and beverage was provided. At the end of our tour, we were flown back to Anchorage. The staff including Anna-Lynn, both pilots, Dan & Abel were all super customer service oriented (something sorely missed to frequently these days). I obviously can't say enough positives about this operation.

I found a flyer to do the Segway tour around Lake Hood and thought it would be fun to give it a…read moretry. The group all seemed to know each other and the tour guide, so I felt like the odd one out. The training for the Segway was good and I felt I picked it up pretty well. We were doing fine for the first half, speeding down the road, watching seaplanes land, hearing stories of small craft aviation in Alaska. It was actually quite enjoyable and I was having a good time. Until we crossed the road to go over a grassy dip. The guide told us to power through it, but it was like going down the black diamond slope on your first time skiing. I tried to power through but didn't handle it correctly coming up the other side of the dip and ended up falling off hard. I recovered and got back on it, but a little while later, more grass to go over, I overcompensated and fell off. Then, a lip on an incline and I overcompensated and fell off. That's when I was done. My confidence was shot. What they don't tell you about Segways: your feet will hurt, a lot, from the vibrations and you can't exactly keep shifting them. You're at the mercy of the guide stopping to give you a break. Your feet and legs may also go numb after long periods of standing on the vibrating machine. These both make it harder to engage your upper leg and glute muscles to make fine adjustments to your balance. All this combined with unfamiliarity with how to navigate uneven surfaces makes it very hazardous for first-time users. And of course, after three falls, I was in more pain and feeling like a massive embarrassment in front of this group I felt I intruded on. It started as a fun adventure, but far too advanced for someone new. I wish we could have stayed on a flatter path and taken more frequent breaks. As an FYI for new folks: there's no easy way to bail off a Segway if you feel you're going to fall. If you fall, you'll fall hard. It's not like just falling over in snow. Segway Tours were very nice and their tour guide was very knowledgable, but this type of Segway riding may not be for everyone.

The log cabin in front is more of a welcome center and has some history and a greeter. The larger building in the back is more of where the magic happens. That is where you will find all the attraction brochures and the information of what is operating during that time of year. Both buildings are very clean and organized and they are strategically located by quite a few souvenir shops. There is metered street parking on the street in front of and adjacent to the Center. It was very helpful and got me a good itinerary put together. Like I said, this is a must stop when you are planning things to do during your vacation in anchorage.

First of all, it was the only company that replied to my emails, and I sent emails to all the helicopter companies. From the first point of contact (Thank you Doc), to the friendly staff (Thank you Nora) to the awesome pilot (Thank you Jeff) it was very professional but down to earth. I felt comfortable right from the start and appreciate the effort put forward by the team to pull off my surprise birthday charter for my husband. The team was in constant contact with me to ensure me that things were set up and ready to go on the day of our charter. My husband believed that we were going downtown for dinner and to have our pilot greet us at the door and say, "Happy Birthday" to my husband when we entered the building was just perfect. I chartered a helicopter to fly us to Whittier and drop us off, and the sites along the way were just breath taking. I can't thank the team enough for being so gracious and genuine. I plan on using them again for our Anniversary. We arranged our wedding with these guys to get married on Knik glacier, just outside of Palmer, AK. Our party was a total of 11 people (including us & photographer). We used two separate helicopters; 1 dedicated for my husband, myself, and our photographer, and the other helicopter shuttled two different loads of 4 people to the landing location to meet us there. After the ceremony, our party of 8 flew back to where we originally took off in Palmer, AK, while my husband, myself, & our photographer did additional landings nearby. Our party took the limo back to Anchorage, and my husband and I ended up taking the helicopter back to Anchorage to meet everyone for dinner. First off, Jarius was AMAZING and unbelievably helpful & patient with answering each and every stupid and petty question I had. He helped us plan everything to the last final detail, and was just a real pleasure to work with. Both of the pilots that flew that day (Jarius & Josiah) were the best, and really went above and beyond to make our day special. They picked a GORGEOUS location for the ceremony, right where two blue glacial rivers met and big green luscious hills nearby in the background. On the way back, Jairus landed the helicopter in a glacial pool and did a cool fly by when my husband and I were standing on the edge of the hill. Josiah was awesome, and was picking out cool & scenic areas for my husband and I to check out while we were exploring on the mountain. The people that work at Tanalian are really what makes that business so special. They are truly good hearted & go above and beyond to bring out the best. We had the best time for our wedding, thanks to them.
