The walrus were spectacular and our pilot walked us out to the cliffs where we could see them popping in and out of the water rolling their giant bodies up on the beach. We had an awesome lunch listening to the big males bark at each other. This was an unbelievable experience. I really liked that my pilot was the owner of his own business. We flew back to Anchorage that evening, pretty great day, great company.

These guys provide the greatest service because: --The gear they provide is always in excellent condition, you don't have to worry about being stranding with sub-standard equipment in the middle of no where. --They are expert outdoorspeople and can give you advice as you gear up. --They know the procedure of getting out into the bush--I want my rafts delivered to a local airfield for shipment outside Anchorage, and that is absolutely no problem, they know exactly what I am talking about. --They keep records and knew who I was when I phoned (nice!). --Had an email confirmation of my order to me within a half-hour. Unexpectedly, we ended up being the only guests as others had backed out. We started out of Seward with a nice trip from Anchorage with Joan and Jeff as our shuttle team. They were both very personable and a pleasure to make the trip with to Seward. We were greeted with champagne and quickly got underway. Our accommodations were exactly as described in the Master suite. After two days of being wined and dined, we finally had to say, the "food is amazing, but we don't eat this much in a day. We need to slow down on the amount" LOL Certainly all you could possibly eat and nicely prepared. En En set beautiful tables for every meal and and our wine glasses were never dry. The weather was not the best for the first few days, so with everyone's agreement, we decided to roll the dice and cross the Gulf of Alaska to head towards Whittier. At that point, the weather became amazing, we did kayaking and had a 13,000 year old cocktail (Bourbon on Glacier ice). Who knew we would go to Alaska to get a tan? We spent the entire time cruising out on the deck getting sun. Captain Al and his team were wonderful hosts. I guess I could address every complaint that has been posted, but I'm not going to give it much credibility by spending any time on it. Yes, the boat is not brand new, but we had no issues on board (except the battery, but that's a little joke between Captain Al and us.). I can't speak to any of the other accommodations because we did not see or use them, but there were absolutely no complaints with ours. We are already considering the possibility of taking friends and going again some time. Thanks for everything Captain Al, En En and Christian! It was the trip of a lifetime! When our party size changed last minute, Steven was able to accommodate us with a bigger motor so we could hit our objectives for the day. As for the boat, these things are fun, easy to drive and was able to get 4 adults, gear and a dog from Palmer out to Knik Glacier in about 2 hours. First of all, it was the only company that replied to my emails, and I sent emails to all the helicopter companies. From the first point of contact (Thank you Doc), to the friendly staff (Thank you Nora) to the awesome pilot (Thank you Jeff) it was very professional but down to earth. I felt comfortable right from the start and appreciate the effort put forward by the team to pull off my surprise birthday charter for my husband. The team was in constant contact with me to ensure me that things were set up and ready to go on the day of our charter. My husband believed that we were going downtown for dinner and to have our pilot greet us at the door and say, "Happy Birthday" to my husband when we entered the building was just perfect. I chartered a helicopter to fly us to Whittier and drop us off, and the sites along the way were just breath taking. I can't thank the team enough for being so gracious and genuine. I plan on using them again for our Anniversary. You can take their regular charters or charter a flight to fit your special occassion, because this company will do their level best to make it a happy occassion and I can't thank them enough. We arranged our wedding with these guys to get married on Knik glacier, just outside of Palmer, AK. Our party was a total of 11 people (including us & photographer). We used two separate helicopters; 1 dedicated for my husband, myself, and our photographer, and the other helicopter shuttled two different loads of 4 people to the landing location to meet us there. After the ceremony, our party of 8 flew back to where we originally took off in Palmer, AK, while my husband, myself, & our photographer did additional landings nearby. Our party took the limo back to Anchorage, and my husband and I ended up taking the helicopter back to Anchorage to meet everyone for dinner. First off, Jarius was AMAZING and unbelievably helpful & patient with answering each and every stupid and petty question I had. He helped us plan everything to the last final detail, and was just a real pleasure to work with. Both of the pilots that flew that day (Jarius & Josiah) were the best, and really went above and beyond to make our day special. They picked a GORGEOUS location for the ceremony, right where two blue glacial rivers met and big green luscious hills nearby in the background. On the way back, Jairus landed the helicopter in a glacial pool and did a cool fly by when my husband and I were standing on the edge of the hill. Josiah was awesome, and was picking out cool & scenic areas for my husband and I to check out while we were exploring on the mountain. The people that work at Tanalian are really what makes that business so special. They are truly good hearted & go above and beyond to bring out the best. We had the best time for our wedding, thanks to them.
