The accommodations were absolutely wonderful--comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully designed. The staff truly made the experience unforgettable. Every single person we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was outstanding--delicious, fresh, and consistently impressive throughout our stay. And the valet service? Exceptional!! Seamless, efficient, and always delivered with a smile. This has officially become our NEW favorite place to stay when we're in Anchorage. We're already looking forward to our next visit. Highly, highly recommend! Rooms We had a room on the 16th floor... the views were mindblowing.. the room so comfortable absolute perfection. Nearby activities Centrally located, we were there for medical reasons and just 5 min. from the Drs. offices. Safety We felt perfectly safe the entire time and went for several walks to explore the city. Walkability Convenient to EVERYTHING! Perfect location! Food & drinks We ate at the Crow's Nest, Fletchers and grabbed coffee at the Cubby all were delightful and delicious! Noteworthy details Valet staff was outstanding in every way, always pleasant, remembered our faces, so professional, we didn't have to lift a finger, if we didn't want to. Next time we will make sure to hit the Spa! Hotel highlights Luxury, Great view, Romantic, Quiet, Great value

As I walked through the lobby and in the elevators I was taken aback by how outdated this place was. This was especially apparent in the elevator with the gaudy faux gold hand rails and the smelly outdated carpet. It felt 1980's for sure! The room was average at best. I did have lunch and dinner at their restaurants and was very disappointed except for one (I will drop reviews on those restaurants). I love the history. But it's not enough for me to pay top dollar for an average hotel room. I will not be coming back.

The Mercedes sprinter van is heated and Levi provides zoom lenses you can clip to your phone camera if you want to use them. It didn't work that well with my phone so I skipped out on that. Levi is very knowledgeable and friendly, I'd definitely go with Tent City Tours again. Everything was beautiful in early February! From about 10am-4pm/5pm we saw everything below: Downtown Anchorage Ulu factory Resolution Park Earthquake Park Viewpoint of Downtown Airport Coffee stop (complimentary) Highway stop where we saw ice moving, across Hope Indian Valley Meats (ended up being closed) Scenic spot Wildlife Refuge - bison, wolves, emu, moose, etc. (price included) Lake stop with glacier finger Portage Glacier view (-4 degrees!) It was perfect- he took us to the best views like Beluga Point and FlatTop where he took pictures of our group. We also went to the Tramway where we had lunch. He let us control the music where we sang Disney songs the whole way. We saw an avalanche take place right in front of us and drank the purest Alaska water from a river nearby! It's safe to say when we come back we will be going through Levi's tour company! Thank you Levi !!!

I will admit, they did crush my dreams of snowmobiling on a glacier and seeing the Northern Lights because it was too late in the season. But hey, at least I knew. They provide you with awesome recommendations to get you going whether it be attractions, places to eat or things to do. The log cabin in front is more of a welcome center and has some history and a greeter. The larger building in the back is more of where the magic happens. That is where you will find all the attraction brochures and the information of what is operating during that time of year. Both buildings are very clean and organized and they are strategically located by quite a few souvenir shops. There is metered street parking on the street in front of and adjacent to the Center. It was very helpful and got me a good itinerary put together. Like I said, this is a must stop when you are planning things to do during your vacation in anchorage.

She offered a variety of options, plus some walking recommendations, and a plug for the 1-hour Trolley tour. She also provided a map, with easy guidance and advice on restaurant layouts and wait times. We took her up on one Lunch option at 49th State Brewery and the Trolley Tour after that. Both were solid recommendations. We'd gladly come back at another time looking for more.

As soon as you walk in you can see the restaurant in the lobby. Free WiFi and mobile keys. You can check in within the app do you don't need to check in with front desk at all. Thankful for the concierge Emerson. He was a rock star. After a red eye flight, he found an empty room and gave me a REALLY EARLY check in time. He was a huge help and super friendly. Very thankful for him. The only odd thing about the room was the mini fridge in the corner of the room haha. I don't mind it especially for a small town like Anchorage. The room isn't super modern however like I said, it is a small town.

A really odd experience here…read more The lobby looks great! And our room wasn't bad either, but you can certainly tell they are trying to remodel. Or I'm praying that's what's going on here. Our furniture didn't really make sense, the mini fridge was sitting outside and across the room from where it would/will eventually be placed. And the table with a drawer was butted up against the couch so you couldn't open the drawer. Not like I would anyway...but it was a bit disorganized. First off, our phone didn't work. None of the numbers worked to call, anywhere. I couldn't get a hold of the front desk, or house keeping. So when we needed to ask for something we had to go all the way down to the front desk. Which was annoying. The gym! Wow. We were decently impressed with the gym. They have a Peloton, Concept 2 rower, and a few treadmills. They had yoga mats, towels, and a water dispenser. And all with a great view! When we went back later that night though...everything was gone. We followed the signs to the Fitness Center on the 5th floor but when we got to that floor every room door was open with the beds disheveled and no one was there. The signs led us to nowhere. It was the weirdest thing. So yet again, another trip to the front desk and she said the gym was closed for the night and was being relocated elsewhere and would open in the morning. You have to pay for parking to park in their unguarded lot. It's $25 a day. Breakfast isn't great. And while you get $15 a person as a resort credit to use on food...breakfast is $28.95 a person. I honestly wouldn't pay any money for this breakfast unless you are desperate. It's not worth it. Long story short. We would never stay here again and I would recommend you stay away as well.

My husband may disagree but that's only because I caught more fish than him... Dustin is the shop owner and an all-around cool guy. He had a great set up for us before we even got to the location - a heated shelter, cameras so we could see below the ice, and rods all ready to go. We enjoyed chatting with him about his experiences fishing all over the world (he won't brag...but he's kind of famous). We're always looking to support Veteran-owned businesses and we're glad to have found The Bait Shack! Don't worry, all of the big char went back into the water to swim another day. But man was it fun! It was so exhilarating to watch these fish come up from the ice. Dustin also made sure they were handled gently and watched for any signs of distress from the fish as we were sending them home. We're fully committed to a summer trip so we can fish out a few Kings with Dustin and his crew. If you're looking for a fishing adventure near Anchorage, call The Bait Shack!
