They were rude, inattentive and there was not communication between the two receptionists as we waited in silence for a few minutes because of the lapse. I was with my mom who went up to order contacts of her own (as I was back for my appointment.). The reception staff greeted her with "What do you want," and "we just need to do it at the end." His eyelid/brow immediately swelled up so much that we could barely pry his eye open. Rather than spend time in the ER, where they would have had to call in a specialist, we consulted with an optometrist friend outside of the area that advised us to go see the team at VHC. We called the minute they opened and they fit us in before we had to leave to catch our flight. Dr. Martha Smith, O.D., and the team were phenomenal in assessing my son's injury and eased our worries about any permanent damage and issues with flying home. I'm happy to report that after a nice "shiner" for a few weeks he is back to normal!

Not what it used to be where they were not in a hurry. Makes you feel like a number. The Dubuque location you get all through the prep and then you usually have to wait not just a few minute but wait. Seems maybe they overbooked themselves as they want as much money as possible. Be nice if they get back to the old way and sit down with you so you can ask questions instead of walking out the door and saying any questions let me know.
