This place is the worst. They schedule appointments every 10 minutes and won't wait even 15 minutes if you're running late. They try to overcharge patients, especially when it comes to insurance claims--orders are always sent late for processing. It doesn't surprise me that every time I've called about my glasses, even after 15 days, they're never ready on time. The organization is a mess, and I wouldn't be surprised if the manager, Maria Gomez, is as inefficient as they come. The owners of this company should stop assuming their patients are stupid. They never know when they'll run into someone who actually knows how things should work read more

Inexperienced doctor. Did not explain result of the exam still waiting for a copy since 11/03. Lab gave me glasses with wrong prescription and the frames overpriced by $400 Parking options is not the best read more

These people are thieves ,they overcharged my insurance, we brought in our own frames and they went ahead and billed and got paid for deluxe frames. I filled a complaint with my insurance company, also they charged and extra $ 80.00 that per my insurance they were not supposed to. I will never visit them and will make sure to file a complaint with the Florida Department of Consumer Affairs read more

Love this place. Dr. Lee answers all your questions clearly and patiently, and had a friendly, conversational style that sets you at ease in the examination chair. The office does a great job keeping track of your information and making it available to you. Fantastic optometrist, helpful staff, reasonable pricing (with or without insurance). read more

Love the Dr. Don't like the phone service company. I love the Dr there but thats the only reason I go back. Dr. Lee is wonderful, thorough and so sweet. However, I cannot stand when I call its a phone service company that is not even there. They have messed up my appointment times and make it difficult to talk to the office. I think there is sufficient staff in office to be able to answer the phone. read more

This place has a new name now but I bought contacts here and couldn't return them or cancel the order before they arrived. The reason why I wanted to return was because they charged me $150 for two boxes of air optix and 1800contacts was only going to charge me $90. Initially they told me I could return and then they said the guy who told me that was new and was confused. I asked if they could at least do a price match and they said no. Never buy contacts here. They are over priced!! Shop around!! read more

Never thought I'd feel so strongly about an eye exam, Dr. Lee is excellent! It's a small store on the first floor of an FIU parking garage PG6, I think parking could be an issue unless you have a FIU parking permit, or you find a metered spot. Since last year, I have been here annually for an exam for glasses and contacts for $84. It was easy to schedule with staff. The whole exam takes 20 minutes, where Dr. Lee explains everything to you and answers any questions. She offered me monthly and daily contacts to try, and told me about the rebates if I purchase it through their office. I appreciate that no one pressured me to buy anything immediately afterward (as I feel at larger stores). Instead you have the luxury to research at home. I plan to return to order more contacts. read more

Short Comment: Fantastic place totally recommend. Timely assistance, good selection (can always have more cause we are greedy hahaha), great prices, Apple Pay Explanation: I absolutely love this place! Every time I have come in; I have receive fantastic service and left super happy. Their staff is professional, knowledgeable, extremely friendly, and very kind. They have a great selection of glasses and lenses. The appointment was on time and I did not have to wait much. The doctor was so kind and for me has been one of the best eye exams in town. This is my second time here, and I bring as many people as I can. I hope they never change! My one suggestion and its barely that is they can always have more glasses frame selection but to be honest that is me being greedy and ridicules. I found my perfect glasses and Im very happy with them. On the yelp page it says they don't accept Apple Pay but I can confirm they do. That was my payment method. read more

I've been to numerous vision care facilities and none have checked all of the check marks as Vision Unlimited FIU has. From the kind staff greeting you to the office manager, Enrique whom was very helpful and professional as was Lisbet whom assisted me choose the glasses from a very nice selection of eyewear. Last, Dr. Stephanie Castellanos is amazing. She's very knowledgeable, professional and above all patiently explained all details relative my vision exam and evaluation in layman's language and answered all of my questions and concerns . If I could rate them 20+++ stars I would. Without a doubt, I will continue visiting them for my vision needs. Highly recommend. read more

Wow, I have so many good things to say about Dr. Lee! Let me start by saying that I actually got seen at my appointment time ( which at other places is not the norm) Wow, I've never felt so comfortable at an eye doctor like this before. I love that she was extremely patient with me and actually listened to all my concerns. She took her time, didn't rush me out of there and made sure that I could actually see with the choices I made. Initially, I just came for an eye exam since they have AMAZING prices, but I have to say this is my new favorite place and.... I will be coming here from now on. Everyone here is so friendly, professional and well informed. Now to buy that pair of Dolce and Gabbana optical I saw the other day read more

Absolutely ecstatic with the services provided at this place. My glasses were extremely crooked and I needed a quick fix. I wear my glasses every day so they were getting too uncomfortable to wear. I was out of there in no less than five minutes and he checked multiple times to see if I was happy with the results. 10/10 would recommend and come back soon. read more

Great staff and service! Dr was very patient and thorough during examination. Will definitely be coming back

Vision Unlimited - Eyewear & Opticians Near Me - Miami, Florida

Save your money. Horrible services. I got an exam a month ago and was told they would follow up and never did. I call and leave countless voicemails and no one follows up. Paid and never got any prescription. Currently stuck without contacts. Horrible. You would think they would have an honest practice considering they are on Campus, really makes FIU look bad. read more

College Optical Express is a great place for all your optical needs. They have a great selection of frames at a very reasonable price. You start off by meeting Natalie, the receptionist, who is very polite and professional. Then you meet Dr. Lee, the Optometrist, who again, is extremely polite and very professional. She gave me a very thorough eye exam and wrote out a perfect prescription. I have ben wearing eye glasses for years and I don't know what she saw or what she prescribed, but I have not seen this clearly in years. And finally you meet Ray, the manager, who will help you/suggest the right frame for your face shape. Ray, is a outstanding optician, very friendly and professional. He will not not try to sell you a more expensive frame just to make more money, instead he will honestly recommend the right frame and the right lens. In some instances, Ray can actually cut the lenses on site and if not, the turn around time to get your new glasses from the lab is usually within one week. And they are done perfectly. Bottom line, College Optical Express located on the FIU Tamiami Campus is the best optical store that I have visited in years. My entire family gets there optical needs from them. I am glad my daughters recommended College Optical Express to me. They are my "go to" optical store from now on. I highly recommend them, you will not be disappointed. read more

Great place to get an eye exam as well as purchase glasses! The location is so convenient for me! The staff was not only extremely nice but very very helpful! I was seen exactly at my appointment time (which is a major plus nowadays) for my eye exam! The doctor was very nice and the whole exam process was quick and painless which is great since I do not enjoy getting my eyes examined! I recommend this place to all my friends who are looking to go get their eyes checked! read more

I was having vision problems so I went to my local eye exam place in sweet water on October of 2015. I got my prescription and a note that "it looks like you have a growth but its nothing to worry about". So I did not worry. Come January I start getting massive headaches that I would later attribute to stress because a stressful event did happen and stress relief would alleviate it. Eventually my vision started deteriorating. May of 2016 I went to this office to get an eye exam. It was very easy for me to be a walk in. Within 20 minutes I was seen. After I told the doctor what I had she first thought they were "floaters". When she examined my eyes thoroughly she said I had to go to the ER right away. Fortunately, my father is a doctor so he understood what It meant when she told him I have "papilledema" or swollen optic nerves due to a swollen brain. I was picked up and taken to an MRI center to discover a brain tumor. A swollen brain, I would later find out, is usually because there is a mass blocking the release in brain fluid. It usually means tumor but I was not told and I was also oblivious to it as no one really ever expects to get diagnosed with one. Long story short, 12 days in the hospital, 4 surgeries, and about a month and a half of recovery later I am tumor free and back to normal. The way I see it, if this center is not running at optimal levels, I would've been told that "its nothing to worry about" and to take my prescription and glasses and keep attributing my headaches to stress. It would be only when siezures start when I would think something is wrong. This center did absolutely everything perfect. And that is why I'm here with no problems. No problems walking, no slurring, and just minor double vision due to surgery. They have also gained a lifelong client. If you are looking for a vision center where you can have the assurance that everything possible will get done to make sure you get the best result possible for your needs, you have found the right place. And the 1 week turnaround to get glasses is not bad either. (I'm used to waiting 2 weeks). read more

I had one of my lenses popped out of my frame so I went over thinking I just needed that fixed, but when I arrived and was assisted by Raymond, he pointed out other things that I didn't think were fixable! For example, the base of my frame's nosepiece would always feel a little too tight and Raymond explained to me that that is the cause to attaining major nose tissue damage and loss. On top of that, the earholders of my frame also seemed to leave an indentation on the backs of my ears, and Raymond was able to adjust it out to a smooth, yet grasping size. Overall, very pleased by the staff there. read more

Great customer service from Ray and Natalie, good prices and the eye exam was better than what I was expecting. I came just for an eye exam and I ended up getting my new frame and lenses from here. I'll keep bringing my business here in the future. Thank you guys for a great experience read more

College Optical Express is a wonderful option for all of your vision needs. They have a great selection to choose from with a great customer service team. The staff was extremely helpful throughout the entire process especially the office manager, Natalie! She was not only patient with customers but really took the time to explain the entire eye exam procedure as well as my needs/concerns. My appointment was in the middle of a very busy time during the day but that didn't seem to affect the way Natalie and team treated customers. She even made time to look at the frames that fit best for my face shape! All in all, this place is a win! Great staff, informative doctor and many options to choose from. Thank you College Optical Express and team! read more
