So the store and eye exam place are two separate businesses apparently . I had my eye exam done there and the doctor was fast and efficient but my god the receptionist had a serious attitude problem. she was annoyed from the moment I walked in until I was about to leave when she screams "10!" I wasn't even sure if she was speaking with me. Come to find out that was my copay. Her communication and customer service skills are top notch chef's kiss! Not sure where they found this gem of a human. The other side where they actually make and sell the frames has always been good service start to finish. This small corner storefront I have passed countless times. I see it after hours, windows shuttered as if bracing for a hurricane, looting or revolution. But then during working hours it's a bustling optical. Dr. Stephen Venokur is an experienced optician and has an old school approach that is what I'm comfortable with. No bells and whistles he spends the visit checking out your eyes in every aspect and has all the equipment to check out your vision health. Also adjunct shop is overflowing in glasses options with samples to see the glass quality and choose well. Glasses are crazy expensive and so you want to be sure you aren't getting a pair that will fall apart. They gave fashion and practical frames. Worth checking out. I appreciate the thorough eye exam and his matter of fact practicality. I like a staff that is cordial and effective and a place that is professional looking. This checked all my boxes. Here is my experience. I went in to purchase designer frames to have my lenes put in that were previously in frames that broke. The only option as it was presented to me was to get rimless frames. I used my Care Credit account to purchase frames that retailed for $800 which was very overpriced as I found the same frames online for $362. It was right before Thanksgiving and I was going out of town, so I decided to bite the bullet and purchase these frames with the care credit no interest for 12 months. I justified this because time equals money, and I had no time to wait for an internet order. That afternoon when I returned to pick them up, I was told that they need my mother to be present because she and I both have CareCredit accounts and share the same last name. It just so happened i had her card instead of mine with me. I encouraged them to confirm my account with care credit and showed them a pic of the credit card on my phone as i keep most copies of ancillary credit cards that I normally do not carry with me in a file on my phone. Anyway, they refused to do anything without my mother's presence which was not possible as she was also traveling for the holiday. So, I just waited until after the holiday and was going to order the frames online and just have them put the lens' in for me as they were already at the store. I called on a few occasions to get the style number for the only rimless Phillip Plein frames and I was always told that I had to come it for that. On one of the occasions after asking for the style number and being stonewalled for the third time I made a comment to the person their about just being lazy and not wanted to do their job in helping out a customer. That didn't sit to well. So, when I did go in to get the style number and coordinate payment I was given my lens back and told to walk and that they would not be doing business with me. Now for the GOOD PART!!!!! The same day i was essentially kicked out of the store I found out that my CareCredit account was charged $1200 6 weeks ago. I then went back to the store to inquire about the charge and propose we proceed with the original plan to get the glasses because I was already charged, and no other person needed to be present when making the purchase. This was all confirmed with CareCredit while at the store. That is why the charge went through in the first place because it was billed to me. So, the store got $1200 for a sale that was not completed and when confronted with the fact that I was correct they told me that they would get my glasses only if I paid them directly. I said that you already got paid and their excuse was the sale would eventually fall of my statement. While the manager was in the back trying to figure what was going on I was on the phone with the credit company that assured me the vendor was paid and no purchase would fall off the statement because it was a completed sale. They said the only way the sale can be reversed is if it was initiated by the store. Sure, enough the same day a return was issued by them. The owner needs to know that 6 weeks prior the business was paid $1200 for a sale that was not completed. I don't think the manager that made the decision to return $1200 owns this store because she just gave back $1200 for something she could have resolved by just filling the order after being paid. I was ok with that. The manager, already caught in a lie put their ego ahead of the business and customer and gave up $1200 of revenue to save face. After all of this I still gave them an opportunity to deliver the glasses but because of the management at this place they lost a $1200 sale that was already in the bank. Now if it were my business I don't know if I would be confident in the people that I have working for me if they are making decisions like this. It leads me to believe that situations like this happen regularly and are costing the business money. In this case $1200 in other cases, we can guess as to how much is being lost because of mismanaging customer service and financial decisions. I would call into question the managers training and business Accumen. I would then try and find the right people to make the proper calls so I don't bleed any more money especially in this economy. So, to summarize the people associated with this location are not truthful, arrogant, petty and not customer service oriented. BTW I went to Lenscrafters and without my actual card and only providing my account info which is on my phone and my license i was able to make a purchase for $700. Like I said this manager let a $1200 sale walk and retuned $1200 that already was in the bank because of her pettiness and ego. Do yourself a favor go to a reputable place that values their customers and have the proper training. read more

Chris has terrible customer service. I asked for him to confirm my last prescription so I can compare it to my new prescription and he instructed it was illegal to tell me what the other contact prescription was and that I must come in for an exam. I explained many times that I was NOT trying to fill an expired prescription and he was not listening. I've always had excellent service here, but seems as though Chris G is insistent on sabotaging the doctors business. Not only was he late to work that day he clearly came with an attitude. When I called a gentleman by he name Chriss, very friendly over the phone; answer all my questions and provide me with details of directions, parking ect. When I go in everyone greet me, Olie, Dollie and Chriss welcome me to the store. Not every establishment that you go this days welcomes you like this anymore. I enjoy the ambient in the store, they are extremely friendly and helpful with every question and concerns. There was a difficult customer there omg! Driving them crazy but they kept their professionalism and friendliness. I like that you don't have to make an appointment like other places do. I'm so happy I came to this place. I used to come to Pearle Vision at this location and was never to fond of the atmosphere and the pricing. Safe to say, things have changed. Went in with my GF. She needed new frames and i needed new lenses. Insert Oly, who was super sweet and went out of her way to make sure we were taken care of. They didnt have frames for me so Oly went to the warehouse and found a pair that match my style. The doctor informed me of a stigmatism I had no idea about and that my previous eye doctors were never able to diagnose. I can't believe how much clearer I can see now because of the corrective stigmatism! The lady who helped me pick out glasses, Vanessa, went above and beyond. She was really sweet and watched me try on a million pairs to help me decide on the perfect fit! I have a very difficult prescription - progressive trifocals - different in each eye- I spent hours choosing my frames...and Oly and the team were so patient and did not rush me at all! I needed to have my glasses adjusted a few times (me not them- as I drive tons for work and also spend lots of time on various screens throughout the day as well - so getting it all right was key) and every time I would stop in - she would smile and say happy to assist you!
