Updated: They really tried to fix the issue. They were very apologetic and tried to be speedy and efficient about the whole ordeal. Even the Dr.Obregon offered apologies about the matter. The young lady in the front really tried her best and I appreciate that. I have a follow up exam in a few weeks and hope that the service is smoother. But they did change my mind so I'll be going back for a follow up soon and keep updating. Hopefully with good news (: So this is my second appointment that runs late. Mind you this appointment was made 1 YEAR in advance that's why I gave it a second shot hoping that since it was done a year in advance I wouldn't have the same experience as the first time.. I got her 20 minutes before my appointment and there was some lady huffing and puffing that she needed to be seen. Apparently she had no appointment or wasn't notified about changes... so what do they do? Give her my appointment. I have another appointment to get to. So maybe if I had been a spoiled brat without no appointment I would've kept my slot or someone else's. After this experience I'm looking for another place. No consideration for people's time. The first time same mess. The only thing was my glasses were done quickly and there's one young lady that is super sweet. Oh and when I asked if they were running on time one of the ladies tells me well it's 9:20....I understand that.....just wanted to know where they were at on time. read more

I have been here twice for eye/contact lenses examination. Both times I had to wait for around 45 minutes beyond my scheduled appointment. As a customer, I find that quite arrogant, even if there is a permanent sign behind the counter to excuse delays! The shop has a small selection of exclusive frames, but the environment is oldfashioned, dark and introvert. The two stars given in my review is a credit to the nice and friendly lady behind the counter, who has to deal with all the delays. When I showed up today at 10.45 to pick up my contacts, there was a sign in the door to say that the shop would be closed until 1 pm! As I was starring through the windows in disbelief, the same lady let me in to pick them up. read more

I got my first contacts here, Dr. Obregon is super nice and very good. HOWEVER, I was never given a copy of my prescription. I was going out of the country and needed a copy of it (so I could get some lenses made overseas for a high end pair of glasses someone was going to gift me)... and even though I went in person and filled a form, called at least 3 times and even sent an email the staff at Dr. Obregon's office was "too busy" to send me my prescription. They told me they had been "too busy" one of the times I called and complained about it. Ended up getting another eye exam somewhere else. Doubt I will go back. read more

I had been going to Dr. Obregon for four years until I was stationed for work in another part of town and, needing to go get my eyes checked, I went to another optometrist last year who had his office in one of those chain stores. That was a big mistake. That other guy fit me into contact lenses that so strained my eyes I had to resort to reading glasses just to get through a typical day. I went back to Dr. Obregon last week and he took the time to fit me with a new prescription and explained to me what went wrong at the the other eye doctor. Obregon is hands down the best I doctor I've gone to in Miami. I won't make the mistake of going to anyone but him from now on. And if you're concerned about cost because his office is in fancy Coral Gables, don't be. His prices are reasonable and he takes insurance. Trust me, you'll like the results after you go see him. read more

Extremely tardy and then told me there was not enough time to complete my full eye exam and I would have to come back for the remainder of the test another day. Dr Obregón was wearing a mask with two vents which the CDC state do not protect others, in addition, room was tiny, pokey and no air flow, for those of you concerned about COVID, I would not recommend. read more

The staff is nice however they are extremely unorganized. I have had 4 appointments so far and still have not received my prescription for my contacts from the doctor. Every appointment I attend even despite the fact I had the first appointment of the day I am asked to wait a minimum of 30 minutes. Also the doctor Michael Obregon is stubborn in prescribing contacts which I have been using for over 14 years with no issue. Since his new recommendation on contacts for me I find myself now wearing my glasses much more often. I also have Co workers who say the same about Micheal and are looking for new doctors. Overall, I DO NOT recommend this optometrist to ANY ONE!!!! read more

Had my first appointment at Envision Optique last week. The office is easy to find, the eye exam was great, and Dr. Obregon was great to work with. I love the boutique style office, and they handled my insurance with ease. I'd recommend Envision Optique to anyone. Haven't purchased frames here yet (just got a new contacts Rx and order) but the selection seemed to be great from sitting in the lobby and looking around. When you visit for the first time, just make sure you have quarters as there is mostly street parking available in Coral Gables. read more

I really like Dr. Obregon and his staff. They are a small, local business, which I think is always a good thing to support. In this case, it also means that they take very good care of the customer/patient. Dr. Obregon takes plenty of time with you in the exam, so you are really sure of what the problem is and that you'll get the right prescription. I have been there myself and also started taking my daughter there (now 10 years old). He is professional but friendly with her, while also being sure to explain any changes clearly to me. His staff is young and very sweet. I can't say much about the selection of glasses -- it looks good to me, and while it's not as big as in one of those mall chain stores, I think it's easier when there aren't SO many choices that give you a headache. They have some nice kids' glasses as well as a range of ordinary to really lovely designer frames for adults. read more

*don't be fooled, this is the same horrible business as Envision Optique! Horrible. I'll keep this short. 1) I've been here several times, and each time I have waited at least an hour, no respect for your time; 2) The Dr. would not give me my contact prescription that I already paid for!!!! He said if I wanted my prescription I would have to pay him more money, even though I already paid!!! Here's what happened. I paid to have a contact exam/fitting. I had to go back at least 3 separate times because the prescription was wrong and I didn't like the brand of contacts (too dry). Fine, I was mad that he couldn't get the prescription right, but fine. However, during that time, when we were testing out contacts, life happened. I moved far away, I was busy going to school and working, and it was difficult to find time to go all the way down there for these contact appointments and wait over an hour in their waiting room each time, but I made time and went down when I could. These 3 appointments were scattered out over 8 months. On the third try I was so excited that we finally found the contacts for me. However, the Dr. would not give me my prescription and told me that if I wanted it, I needed to PAY MORE MONEY! I couldn't believe it. I already paid, but he wanted more money because so much time had elapsed. Of course time had elapsed, we needed to change the prescription and brands! I tried to be fair and said that he could just give me a short prescription and that I would come back for my annual appointment in a few months to renew my prescription (my insurance only allows one appointment per year), but he said NO! He wanted more money out of my own pocket or he would not give me my prescription, that I already paid for!!!!! Horrible! Just Horrible! Never will I ever go back here! read more
