Also paid for a prescription for contact lenses that ended up being the same as the prescription they gave me four years prior. They promise to fulfill my contacts prescription if obtained another prescription elsewhere; after submitting a prescription to them from Stanton, Paola, the Regional Manager refused to honor what a previous Regional Manager, Mr. Harding had promised, which was a years worth of contact lenses. I ended up having to go elsewhere for a proper prescription for my contacts and purchase contact lenses because these people were not only unprofessional, but did not honor their word. Well, a little over one month later they texted me that they were ready. At that time I was at the airport getting to leave on vacation to Spain and Portugal. The only thing good about this place was the doctor that examined me and the free parking in the back lot. I didn't like that I had to pay extra on top of my $400 credit with Medicare to get the glasses that I wanted. The Rayban sunglasses were tagged at $168 but by the time I left the store I ended up having to pay them almost $85, $38 extra which I didn't anticipate for the doctor at another $45 to get transition lenses. This still puts me under $400 but I guess it's not good enough for them. I won't go back to them next year for my annual. read more

I been their client for almost 13 years and I was happy with them although they have changed their primary Doctor pretty much every year since 2010, I ket coming cause I thought they have my record and know my condition' but recently I learned that they have allowed every doctor to take the records and haven't kept any copies of them. I recently changed my insurance they are not part of the network so I asked for my records to take with me to the new in network doctor and that is how I knew about this. Another issue that makes me come here is the fact that in my last contact lenses purchase one of the employees forgot to take their receipt from my order and I realize that they were overcharging me almost double the cost of the contacts. read more

Very unpleasant experience. After they tried to sell me the most expensive package for 99.00 frames they told me the glasses would be ready in two weeks 2/8 . After the end of the two weeks I called and they said they were not ready. 5 days after the 2 week period I called and they claim they had been there since the 5th and that I received a message. I never received the message, the lady I spoke with that claims they sent me the message and they arrived on the 5th was rude and could not be bothered. I will no longer give them business as there are tons of other qualified establishments out there. I have been a customer for many years and have given them thousands of dollars in business, but obviously they are under new ownership and not very savvy. read more

I booked here for convenience but it was anything but that. I had an appointment at 10:30 and was not seen by a doctor for an hour. During this time the connection to get a doctor was also a process. I was told when ordering contacts they do a price match guarantee but when I said the price for 1-800 contacts I was told they can't give it to me for that price. Again, I went her for convenience knowing it was out of network for my insurance but if I knew it was going to be this huge process I would have gone elsewhere and saved myself a lot of money. I went in to order new glasses, I brought my prescription with me which they copied. Almost 2 weeks later they said they were ready so I went in but they had not added readers as I had asked and my prescription required. They had charged me over $300.00 for each of 2 pairs but now said they had to charge me more! They said it was my fault they were wrong? They then said I had to go home and get a new copy of the script and email it which I did. They agreed the script said there should have been readers too but wanted to charge me another 80 for each pair. I said no I just wanted my money back. They said I had to go back to the store with my credit card to get a refund, but when I did they had it on file and didn't need it. I will never go there again. read more

After being a customer for over 5 years, I tried making an appointment for my family (4 people) today and was told that multiple visits would need to be scheduled as they cannot accommodate my family in one visit. This has never been the case before. When I asked if they couldn't accommodate, I would have to go elsewhere and that I was a long-standing customer, the person on the line (Giselle) simply said ok and was not concerned with losing a customer. She was sweet, took her time with greeting me, asking if I need an appointment, if i have any insurance, showing me the store layout, and personally walking me over to the doctor's office. After my appointment, she walked me over to step/by-step help in picking my glasses. After I chose my glasses, Anais took her time to explain every lens material and add-ons. She also made great and courteous attempts to get to know my routine and for what type of events I would wear these glasses. I left grateful to have had such attentive help and excited to receive my order. My next walk-in was in about a week after Anais took her time to call me in a very fond tone that my glasses and contacts were ready for pick up. She kindly took her time to greet me once again and asked me to sit down so we can check that everything is just perfect. She was able to clean my glasses, explain the vision, and adjust them to my needs. She spoke kindly about For Eyes' lifelong service, their low price guarantee, and their 30-day warranty. I left with a nice pair of Armani glasses, an annual supply of contact lenses, and a 14-day family and friends voucher for anyone that I know that may need glasses. A friend recommended me this place, he had gone previously to have his eyes checked and get some more contact lenses, told me his experience and got me playing with the idea of changing my glasses for contacts. The experience couldn't have gone better! Before meeting the doctor I met with Alicia, she made me fill out a form and made a few initial tests. Had my appointment with a different Doctor, it depends on which day you'll go, in my case being a Wednesday at 5pm, I got Dr Cohen. She was very nice and professional, heard my reasons for being there, and walked me through the whole process while making some additional tests. Met Alicia once again and she helped me getting in the contacts, then went to Dr Cohen again for more tests and then returned to Alicia, that's when the fun part began! Learned to take the lens out and put it in. They were very patient and understood the difficulty for someone with zero experience with contact lenses. Finally I chose between daily, biweekly or monthly lenses and after giving me some instructions and a tryout kit they sent me home and told me to return in a week to check if everything goes well with the lens I'm trying out at the moment. read more

The eyeglass frame styles are pretty good, and the prices are moderate. They seem to work with most of all vision insurance plans. Disappointed in the lack of communication. The doctor's assistant had me use a machine to take pictures of my eyes instead of getting my eyes dilated. What she didn't mention is my insurance didn't cover this test and I had to pay out of pocket for it. I'll send My visit to For Eyes for a refraction for reading glasses couldn't have gone better! After a short wait, I met optometrist Dr. Eric Chow who proceeded to take a history and. examined my eyes using the traditional machines and eye charts. I had elected not to have my eyes dilated by the usual drops that last for hours, and instead chose a wonderful machine that For Eyes has that enables the doctor to see the retina without dilation. Dr. Chow discovered the problems with my vision and determined the best prescription for new reading glasses including an adjustment for astigmatism. The new reading glasses are the very best I have ever had. I might add that Dr. Chow discovered problems with my eyes that ophthalmologists at Bascom Palmer missed. I highly recommend Dr. Eric Chow. For Eyes also runs in a very excellent operation. read more

I used the $35 for $200 groupon and walked out of there with a $200 pair of Burberry frames for $235ish (including the lenses, you dult). The purchase would have been well over $400 without the groupon. The most redeeming quality of this location is the customer service. I felt like a fairly valued customer from the moment I stepped in the door to the moment I left. The only reason I didn't phone home about it is because I have a pretty rough relationship with my family. HOW DO YOU ALWAYS GET THESE PERSONAL THINGS OUT OF ME YELP!?!? Bottom line: for a nice pair of frames at a semi-reasonable price (use the groupon if available) with more than decent customer service, visit this For Eyes location. Otherwise, don't. My vision insurance plan chose For Eyes for me. So I went to the closest store in my area expecting very little. I did some preliminary research about For Eyes and was surprised to learn that the company got it's start in Philly. As a Northerner I felt an instant bond (truly odd I know). Anyway, the store has a decent amount of parking in the back although it gets packed during the day. The store is well layed out with one well lit wall dedicated to showcasing the frames. Additional frames are on display in the glass counter on the other side. The staff was courteous and attentive. While I did have to wait a few minutes for an associate, I was greeted upon entering and left to stroll throughout the store. The frame selection was solid, and the lens options on par with other retailers. The most surprising thing was the attention to detail. My associate clearly explained how my insurance plan work and how much I was saving. She also informed about a 2 for 1 promotion that could be used under my insurance. Picked up a nice pair sunglasses. I was very surprised by the level of service and ultimately the price. read more

Really not a impressed with the service here. Had a 10 am appt booked. Arrived at 9.55 am and everything was locked up. Staff arrived at 10am so I had to wait on the street while they got themselves ready and opened the front door. Girl opening up seemed more interested in chatting on her cell than letting customers in, though I was not the only person waiting. If you don't get to work until 10 am perhaps you should schedule your first appt at 10.15 so you're ready? Once inside staff were busy setting up so I had to wait. Then they needed to call my insurer, so it was 10.40 am before they told me they wouldn't take my insurance! What a waste of time. The Dr. was great the first year but despite my appointment made in advance they kept me waiting for more than an hour. This year, despite making an appointment for 3, to meet the time they told me that they had open, when I arrived at 3 there was still someone in the chair, understandable, but there was another person waiting so my wait would be more than an hour. Not acceptable! When I made the appointment I told them about the problem with the appointment the pervious year and asked them to call me 15 minutes ahead of time if they had a problem so I could reschedule the appointment as I work only 15 minutes away. But no call! It reminded me of the Seinfeld episode with his car rental reservation and they had no car when he arrived! So, if you're like me and have to meet your time commitments to others don't waste your time here as they clearly do not understand how appointments work or do not value your time. read more

Went to For Eyes to renew my prescription and request a eye exam. What a joke this place was! The old doctor apparently left and took "her" files with her. That includes 'my' vision medical files which where no longer available and as a result I now have to pay an additional close to $100.00 for a fitting. NO! Now having to contact the doctor to request files that are my property and of course having to wait God know's how long. Why didn't they contact or inform their patients this was happening? Because they are a mediocre establishment. Do you really want to trust your eye's to these people? read more

this is the worst place to go for your eyes exam and customer relations. i came here for a regular eye exam, and all i got was attitude, lies, empty promises and not respect for the client opinions. for starters they misdiagnosed my eyes three times, three differents doctors and the last one i saw he littetary sounded like he was drugged up. and they disposed of my original lenses without even fucking asked me. they are absolutely a mess as a company and as a whole. when i choose to cancel my order all they said was that they were going to send me a fucking check even tho i paid cash on the first place. after a whole fucking month i received my check refund and it was out of founds, so my bank charged me because of the bad check they sent me. and now i am still waiting for my other check to be send to me. take my advice don't go this place and waste your time and money with this mess of a company. all they do and tell you is that they are sending emails and emails and they never do shit to help you. just a fucking dissapoinment as a company. Let me make your search for an optometrist and new glasses much easier: this is the place you should go. Oh, why doesn't Yelp allow me to give 6/5 stars??? I just moved to Miami not too long ago, and the frame of my glasses broke in an irreparable way. As they say here in Miami, "No bueno." In a crunch, I had to find a place where I could buy cheap glasses and have a cheap eye exam. That's where For Eyes Optical came in. Their rating on Yelp, along with their close location to the apartment I was renting, were what initially led me to their store. The incredible kindness of the staff was what will keep me going back there forever. Dr. Kahn was simply a pleasure to speak with. How can I convey this clearly enough? I don't know that I've met anyone more down-to-earth here in Miami than this woman. While initially I had been concerned an optometrist would start recommending unnecessary procedures and would be dishonest and profits-minded while helping me, Dr. Kahn was refreshingly candid. Her mind is on the people and their health, not on making money. She only wants to improve people's quality of life. By the way, the entire eye exam cost only $65 dollars. That was cheaper than at Target's eye center. Cheaper than Target! Then, while having to select my glasses, Yamila was extremely attentive to every concern I threw at her. She is the embodiment of "Seek to understand, then seek to be understood." When I told her, with a light touch of embarrassment about it, that I had very little money and would need her help picking out one of the cheaper pairs of glasses, she quickly nodded, and with a slight wink confided that they would be happy to do everything they could for me, and ended up applying large coupons I never even presented to her toward my final total price in order to bring my cost down that much more. She even mentioned that on Yelp there should be an additional $25 dollar coupon that she could apply if I would just go onto Yelp and show her, thus bringing my cost down even more. Throughout the enormous challenge of finding frames that suit my face (I did not envy her for that), she was refreshingly patient with me in one of the most sincere ways I've yet encountered in my first few months of living in this road-rage-afflicted Miami. And did I mention that everyone at this store learned my name after hearing it for only the first time??? It felt like I was part of their family! Clearly their business model is based on allowing people to be skeptical walking in, hearing any concerns they might have, and then garnering their trust at every step of the visit to their clinic. So genuine, so candid. Again, if you are looking for a place to go for an eye exam where they won't cheat you, pressure you to buy things you don't need, or diagnose you with issues you don't have, then I will tell you to look no further. I was referred by my boyfriend, and I walked out really happy and satisfied, his entire family has been with this doctor since my he was a little kid and he's already 34... that's a lifetime!!!.
