I wasn't in the exam room but when my GIL came out, she sat with the opticians to talk about glasses. For starters, its been a decade for them providing me this service so I suppose that says it all for my satisfaction with the service here. I don't have any complaints. I typically call in the Summer to schedule my annual visit for the Fall. I've always been able to get my first or second appointment choice without issue. They are pretty good with the automated and personal reminders for appointments. If an earlier appointment becomes available, you'll get automated message to opt for the earlier appointment if you want it. Once on site, I'm typically greeted by the staff working up front in the showroom doing eye glass fittings, etc. The exam in performed in the back. At check-in, you're ID and insurance is verified and you're given a clip board with documents to complete. Probably best to arrive at least 15 minutes early in order to have time to complete these without a rush. Most of the time, I've probably waited 5-10 minutes after handing in my clip board before the tech takes me in for the ocular screenings. This takes about 10-15 minutes. Sometimes the Doc is immediately ready for you and sometimes there could be a short wait. Once you're done with the Doc, you pay and receive your prescription, if you have one. If you have a prescription and want to fill it, then you'd see the staff up front. Everyone has been cordial, friendly and helpful. Overall, its been good enough for me to continue coming back.

I looked at the various framed which ranged from $99 to over $300 and just couldn't find something I liked or fit me well. Plus, the Mr. World dude wasn't there to entice me in any way. I am especially impressed because my initial pair of glasses wasn't working well that first day (for various reasons) but Eye Avenue promptly re-ordered with fixes - no hassle at all. Everyone there was very nice. I don't know why staff has to wear masks, though, since the CDC and other health agencies admitted to their ineffectiveness at stopping Covid. But patients weren't required to wear them. All in all, a great place which I highly recommend.

I took my brother in (who suffers from severe social anxiety) to get his eyes checked and some new glasses. He really liked the place and didn't feel any major anxiety at all thanks to the place being smaller and the fact that they don't seem to double book appointments like some places where you can't even find a seat for the 2 hour long wait to see the doc. He also liked the frame selection and even a year later is happy with the great quality of the lenses which haven't flaked as our others have. I went for my yearly appointment in Jan or Feb and again enjoyed the friendly atmosphere created by the staff and doctors. Dr. Ellison gave epically rocking explanations on some of the worries he had about my optic nerves and even brought in his wife just to get a second opinion because he wanted to give me the best possible help. I've never before been to a doctor that explained things so well as usually they just tend to tell you a diagnoses and expect you to google it to find out exactly what it means. I'm loving my glasses once again. :) The newest convert, my mother, luckily got an appointment on the day before Mother's Day and they were having one of there many events to celebrate Mother's Day by giving out roses and providing snacks and drinks. When she was finished with the doctor and we drove of, she could not stop gushing at how great the doctor was and how she never wants to go to her usual eye clinic again. She said he made her laugh and she appreciates his knowledge and the way he did the explanations. On a side note to my epic review, I recommend ignoring that 2 star review I noticed considering that it's not the doctors office fault that insurance companies in general make life difficult for everyone. I've never had a problem with any of the front desk girls who have always been polite and accommodating. As a past medical biller myself at a large medical office, I always recommend calling the insurance company yourself if you are concerned about coverage or price as they sometimes do not give accurate and up to date information to the doctor offices. Definitely TL;DR? Place is still awesome. Doctors actually explain what they are doing and any problems they see. They often have fun events where they offer discounts on lenses. Frame selection is good and lens quality is fantastic. Go there and you'll be a customer for life.

We then proceed to play phone tag for the next week so that I can place my order for contacts with him over the phone. Finally got them ordered, correct shipping address and receipt were sent to my email. Fast forward over two weeks later, I never received my tracking information or updates on where my contacts are. So I called the optical number today and was met with an extremely rude lady whose name I did not get. She had an attitude, was unable to provide me with a correct tracking information for my contacts and kept saying it was delivered to my house and in my mailbox. Both of these statements are WRONG. I live in a new complex and we do not have mailboxes yet, which I know, but went to confirm with the front office just to cover all my bases. The lady with a thick accent and rude attitude hung up the phone on me when I told her the tracking information she gave me was invalid and refused to give me any tracking info. Not sure how true this is but she said target standardly does not provide tracking info for contacts lenses since they're shipped from the laboratory?? I asked to speak with her manager before she hung up the phone with me, she said in a very rude way I could not speak to her manager as he's a human too and is on vacation until next week. I attached a screenshot of how many times I called back the target optical phone number because the lady I spoke with gave me incorrect tracking information and would not give me the correct one when I told her on the phone, instead she hung up on me. So long story short: I have no tracking information or know where my contacts are, and they charged my card. Pretty much said it was not their problem as it was delivered, couldn't even provide me with a photo of it being delivered. The service here is terrible. Would not recommend.

He went in the back a few times to look for different colors and helped with minor adjustments too. I had trouble with some of their wide width glasses still being a bit too tight and he found some that were extra wide, and those fit a lot better. Usually I'm fine, but none of their frames had those springs that make the arms(legs?) go outwards. I had glasses like this before and they squeezed my head and gave me a headache. I understand they can be adjusted but past history wants me only wanting those glassed with springs. The price wasn't too bad with the frames and progressive lenses. I planned on going back if I didn't find something elsewhere, but I got lucky at another place.
