I found Stewart Family Eye Care via Google and read previous yelp reviews and decided to try this office for my GIL. The scheduling was great, as I found an early appointment the following day. Then filling out the paperwork was also easy. The front office staff were so kind. I was kinda nervous as my GIL is hard of hearing. Yet they were patient and happy to help. I wasn't in the exam room but when my GIL came out, she sat with the opticians to talk about glasses. GIL had some old frames she wanted to use and they were happy to use her old frames instead of selling her new ones. Overall, it sounds like the experience my GIL had was positive.

I didn't need two pairs and I wasn't sure how to just buy one pair (nor did the guy explain it well), so I was immediately kind of doubting I'd get something here. I looked at the various framed which ranged from $99 to over $300 and just couldn't find something I liked or fit me well. Plus, the Mr. World dude wasn't there to entice me in any way. His amazement of this average store is misguided.

For starters, its been a decade for them providing me this service so I suppose that says it all for my satisfaction with the service here. I don't have any complaints. I typically call in the Summer to schedule my annual visit for the Fall. I've always been able to get my first or second appointment choice without issue. They are pretty good with the automated and personal reminders for appointments. If an earlier appointment becomes available, you'll get automated message to opt for the earlier appointment if you want it. Once on site, I'm typically greeted by the staff working up front in the showroom doing eye glass fittings, etc. The exam in performed in the back. At check-in, you're ID and insurance is verified and you're given a clip board with documents to complete. Probably best to arrive at least 15 minutes early in order to have time to complete these without a rush. Most of the time, I've probably waited 5-10 minutes after handing in my clip board before the tech takes me in for the ocular screenings. This takes about 10-15 minutes. Sometimes the Doc is immediately ready for you and sometimes there could be a short wait. Once you're done with the Doc, you pay and receive your prescription, if you have one. If you have a prescription and want to fill it, then you'd see the staff up front. Everyone has been cordial, friendly and helpful. Overall, its been good enough for me to continue coming back.

I was able to make an appointment for both my son and I within a few days. We arrived for the appointment and were quickly seen. The office was nice and tide (and had some really cool art......animals w/ glasses anyone? :) ) fDr. Tran was kind and he explained everything along the way. They use non0invasive technology that did not require that we have our eyes dial aged and also provided the doc with lots more info to review. Dr. Tran brought me around the screen to show my images of my eyes vs. what a "bad" eye issue would look like. He was upfront and where applicable he reassured me with what to expect and what was normal. We had planned on ordered int classed online to keep cost down, but the location has an optometrist with a selection of glasses. To be fair, there prices were not bad at all, just a little above the online guys....which would be expected. Of course they definitely recommended that we ordered from them n order to use the professional optometrist for measurements, etc.....understandable and fair.....but they were not overly pushy. We left with our prescriptions and when I was ordering classes I decided I needed a "reading only" paid and it was easy to call. Them back and get a Reading only prescription. They use a patient portal that I was easily able to log into and retrieve my prescriptions too. .

Wow! Lots of cool frames and I found a pair that I thought I might go with, but alas I found…read moresomething I liked better at another store. However, the guy helping me here was awesome. He went in the back a few times to look for different colors and helped with minor adjustments too. I had trouble with some of their wide width glasses still being a bit too tight and he found some that were extra wide, and those fit a lot better. Usually I'm fine, but none of their frames had those springs that make the arms(legs?) go outwards. I had glasses like this before and they squeezed my head and gave me a headache. I understand they can be adjusted but past history wants me only wanting those glassed with springs. The price wasn't too bad with the frames and progressive lenses. I planned on going back if I didn't find something elsewhere, but I got lucky at another place. I already had a prescription, so I was just looking for frames and lenses and can't comment on the eye inspection (is that what it's called?)

I have really enjoyed getting to know Laura and Millie the past few years. Dr. Hankins retired recently and I have been under great care of both Dr. Do and Dr. Prado.
