I have been seeing Dr. P (Dr. Sandra Palomino) for several years after a friend recommended her. My original Ophthalmologist retired. It has been a pleasure. Her location is very nice. Staff is great. When you make an appt at a certain time they are efficient in getting you in quickly. Dr. P is personable and thorough. Yesterday I had eye pain and diagnosed with a cornea infection. I went without an appt and they squeezed me in quickly as I was in pain. A day later I feel much better and on the mend. read more

Dr. Sandra Palomino and her staff are very professional and efficient. My wife and I have been going to her for several years after my previous opthamologist retired. I find everyone to be friend especially the Dr. It is a LOW STRESS environment....as it should be. I made an appointment at The Vision Place to have Dr. Sandra Palamino, OD PA, check my vision and write a new prescription if necessary. She used the very latest equipment and techniques. She was very patient and paid attention to detail to make certain that she has been as accurate as possible. I've had an injury to my left eye, so this made it particularly difficult for her but she did an excellent job of working around it. Her new equipment made it no longer necessary to dilate my pupils or blast air against my eye to measure Intraocular pressure. I recognize that my case is unusually difficult so I was especially pleased by her professionalism and that of her staff. Thank you Dr. Palamino. First of all, the woman at the front desk was phenomenal! I wish I caught her name! She welcomed my son and, helped me to get my info logged into their online system, and then proceeded to have boat loads of patience with my little guy when doing some initial vision screening tests! Thank you for doing your best, Miss! I was deeply disappointed however with Dr. Palomino! I chosen the Vision Place because I read how "kind" and helpful this doctor was with children. This was NOT the case with my son (just turned 7)! Not only was she impatient and short with him, but she obviously didn't know or care to differentiate her line of questioning to support her young patient (obviously struggling)! After repeated failed attempts to get my son to open his eyes, I intervened and asked if she had any experience working with children? She acknowledged she works with school age kids, but no longer my son! Note to Dr. Palomino: If you intend to serve young children, please thoughtfully consider their limited comprehension of medical terminology. Also, you may want to learn some strategies to make scary lights in their eyes less scary! Check in with your fabulous gal in the front...she's got some wonderful tricks! read more

I should have listened to the one star review but i'm new to the area and needed a new dr and some how for some reason this place had a good amount of ratings. The front staff was very nice not a problem, they were very kind. On the other hand the Dr was very unsettling, she didn't make me feel welcomed but it was almost like it was a kind of a disappointment for the dr to be there and it felt like she was forcing herself to make it through the day. She talked to me like i was dumb and in a sarcastic way. when i didn't understand what she was saying because i didn't hear right the first time she repeated herself in a way like i was supposed to know what she is talking about. My boyfriend who also came to the appointment with me was in the room with me. HE EVEN NOTICED and was looking at me giving me signals saying "what's her problem". safe to say the dr is not a people person so if you want to feel comfortable i would not recommend this place. I will not be coming back! I most definitely should have seen the one star review as a warning. I forgot to mention that i was interested in contacts but i just wanted to know a price and they made it a consult without saying it would be extra $ which my insurance covered it but now i don't have that money towards glasses when i just wanted a simple price on how much contacts were not a whole consult without the knowledge or heads up that they were doing that. read more

I recently changed to The Vision Place because they answered their phone over the lunch hour and knew how to process my insurance more efficiently than the place I had been going. My husband referred me here and I'm glad he did. I had a later appointment in the afternoon and was seen right away. I appreciate that they have more advanced diagnostics to make your visit more pleasant, such as this instrument that measures your eye pressure without a huge puff of air. They can also take pictures of the back of your eye to avoid dilation (in some cases). The doctor is very thorough. The assistant up front helped me narrow down what frames flattered me and was like a good friend who will tell you when a frame makes you look like a potato. (Ok maybe not but she will steer you away). The frames are high quality and they carry designers like Michael Kors, Jimmy Choo, and Fendi, as well as Guess, Calvin Klein, and some more generic brands. My frames came in about 5 days later! read more

What a great experience! I called them on Thursday for an appointment and they scheduled me for the next day! The doctor and her staff were all amazing! The Dr took so much time with me! They did all the tests I needed and I walked out with contacts and I literally could see clearly for the first time in a very long time! I highly recommend The Vision Place! read more

I like the time that Dr. Palomino takes to give me an accurate exam, however, if you make an appointment be prepared for a long wait. My lasr 2 appointments, I've had to wait over 30 minutes before I was seen for follow-up fittings. If you have time to wait, this is a good place to go. I especially like that she accommadates my preference for rigid gas permeable contacts without issue. read more

A close family friend recommended Dr. Palomino after I had a bad experience somewhere else. I really wanted to get contacts and it just didn't work at the other place. I called for an appointment and Dr. Palomino was able to see me the next morning. Once I filled out my paperwork, they started my exam right away. My husband & I saw Dr. Palomino about 16 yrs ago for the first time. She does take time to listen to you and do a very thorough exam. She is the best eye doctor either of us have seen and we have both worn glasses for many years and saw many other drs. we have never had to wait more than 15 minutes past our appointment time. The glasses selection is great and very up to date and prices for all budgets. Julian is as good at helping pick the right shape and style and fitting them properly. Very good team!!
