I have been a patient of Vision First for years! They used to be in a different location up the road and I have followed them in their move. I have never had a bad experience with them. I got LASIK surgery done a couple of years ago, but still have to get my eyes checked yearly to maintain the warranty. This was a good place at one point. But will take my services elsewhere now. There lack of customer service is apparent, there is new personnel there so I am assuming they may have new management. I ordered 3 prescription sunglasses and when I came they only had 2. They blamed the mistake on me and didn't even apologize. I did not even know the glasses came, I had to find out myself. My whole family have been a very happy customer of VISION FIRST since year 2000.. We are very happy with the service and consistent quality glasses they provided. I would rate them as one of the top eyecare in town. Dr Tat is a very patience, detailed and caring optometrist. Over the years we have few times tried out other eyecare center but was disappointed with the quality. a few times we ended up going back to VISION FIRST to remake. I have been coming here for a loooong time. If you can't see, this is a good ooce to go get checked and find a good pair of glasses. The only gripe I have is that they mostly offer more expensive name brand items, which is not bad really but without insurance you will pay a bit more than purchasing generic glasses online. I have personally not found a better looking set online than the ones I normally get from here though. However, when it comes to finding your prescription, they will go the extra mile to help you. I have used glasses for years and have tried the ones that get dark in the sun, as well as those meant for reading on your pc all day, etc. Recently I wanted contacts and they gave me two pairs to see which I liked more and then they replaced them when I got totally confused as to which were which. The doctors here are friendly and the front desk is made up of nice people. I don't see any reason not to do business with them. There can be some miscommunication which can delay when you get items so be mindful of that. I thought I ordered contacts and they told me they hadn't at all so I was waiting for nothing for two weeks. read more

I used to love this place but the last two pair of glasses I had ordered took over 4 weeks. I would be the one constantly calling to find out status. They don't call you to advise you that the glasses are taking longer then expected. Nothing. No communication. And the customer service has definitely dwindled. This place charges 130% of the MRSP posted by the Manufacturers' websites if you use your insurance policy. They make it seem like a favor to charge you MRSP if you pay out of pocket. Very shrewd business practices. There are better, more respectful places to take your business. Avoid this place like the plague. Have been coming here for over fifteen years, love Dr. Halstrom and Angie, who had the best professional attitude in service. But now they're gone, and the place is filled with pointless staff and no eyewear samples till February. The guy at the counter is useless. He seem to not like his job, very frustrated and agitated. ZERO customer service skills. He needs to learn the kahulugan ng (Tagalog) customer service. Does not understand his customers and is frustrated to explain basic VSP procedures and break down. He is expecting customers to come in pay and leave. I literally felt like trashing both my sunglasses which I paid for in front of him in his new store by argonaut way and leave. Does not know how to communicate to his customers. I've been coming here since 2009 and have always had great service. My whole family has never had a problem and have always been taken care of beyond what we could ask for. Today a customer threatened to write a bad review after being informed that their insurance wouldn't cover their perscription change after a year and a half of wear. They respectfully explained that they only had 6 months to have their perscription changed and still be covered, but refused to accept the policy. If you'd like to actually get your glasses before your kid is permanently cross-eyed from not being able to see, find some place else. So I love this place. I came in looking for a pair of sylish new glasses. Angela was super helpful in making me feel like Tom Cruise...she was honest and said my face is too square for round glasses - transition lenses were out of style for my age group etc. etc. They had enough of a selection of quech my taste....I was looking for a gun metal steel but decided on these super cool blue frames. Logically I don't think they are at to blame since the work is done in external labs while they provide the front end service. Never had any problems with their service. Shernan is incompetent and rude. He is a know-it-all and told me I am not covered for services for which actually I was covered. I had to call my provider to straighten that out. Secondly, he told me it was OK for me to leave the office while I was dilated.The other assistant called me as I had driven off and I had to turn back with my vision deteriorating. This guy can not read the benefits right (70% of his job?), keeps talking over customers and the female receptionist who at least tries to be helpful, and is downright careless. If the doctor I visited had another location with a different receptionist, I'd have gone there because she's good. But with this guy around I wont touch this clinic with a ten foot pole. read more

Been with these guys for years and have gone down hill every year. Today I called to find out where the order for my contacts were and was first told I picked them up, obviously I hadn't, I placed the order on Feb 27th, then came back and said I didn't place the order. They offered to place the order today but that the cost went up by $5 per box. This has happened before, in addition, after an eye exam a year ago I was quoted a price for disposable contacts but to try them out first. I liked them and went to order and the price was MUCH higher then quoted. My glasses are always more than what is quoted, etc... Shame on me, I should have left them years ago after the first lie. My daughter just started wearing contact and was very nervous with the eye exam and contact fitting. The doctors made her feel very comfortable and at ease. It takes many days to get the eyeglasses. I was waiting for 2 weeks for my 8 yr boy to get glasses and it was still not done. They told me its a rush order and delayed for 3 weeks. You have to wait for 15 min just to know that they don;t have enough information about delivery. Very horrible service. Will never step into this shop again. read more
