I have gone to Dr. Accettura for over 20+ years. My recent visit turned into a nightmare. The doctor gave me a contact to try in my left eye on a Friday to try out ( different from my regular brand) , i wore them Saturday and noticed my eye feeling irritated, and the contact didn't feel right. I gave it another try that Sunday. On Sunday evening my eye was getting worse. When I removed the contact and put on my regular glasses I read the contact package. I discovered the contact EXPIRED July 2022. The Contact I was given was OVER 4 YEARS OLD! I call the Dr's office Monday and spoke to Vivian who stated " the representative of the contact distributor checks the dates and it's not the Doctor or Staff. Really? So Patients Beware THEY DO NOT CHECK FOR EXPIRED CONTACTS!!! i had to see another Dr....ASAP in another practice who had to examine my eye for infection.Thank God my eye only had severe irritation and I had to place the drops several times a day in my eye. NO ONE IN THE Office Apologized or even Cared! . DON't go There if You VALUE YOUR VISION!!!! read more

After using them for over 30 years, this is the last time I give them my money ($580). I went in with a prescription on June 4 following cataract surgery. Chose frames and was told it would probably take a full two weeks. Today is July 9. I have now made ten phone calls over four weeks and still don't have my glasses. Not only did they not meet their own promised date, but have failed to communicate with me as they failed to meet the deadline time and time again. Furthermore, they have displayed a cavalier attitude throughout, adding insult to injury. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! read more

I have been going to Vision City and Dr. Joe for over 30 years and he is one of the friendliest and most helpful Doctors you will ever meet. I sure wish I could say the same for the unpleasant staff he has running the counters and answering the phone. Rude is an understatement. If you want a great eye doctor, see Dr. Joe, just understand that you will be dealing with a few unprofessional people on the front end and also plan on waiting at least a month for an appointment. He gets the 4 stars. The staff gets negative 3 stars on a good day. read more

Vision city fit me right in when I was having an emergency eye problem. I have never been to vision city before, but the staff and Dr were very accommodating when I was desperate for help. The doctor gave me a thorough exam to find the issue and gave me a solution right away. read more

I am so grateful to vision city and Dr Joe as everyone calls him! He fitted me with a scleral contact lens, and now I can see clearly for the first time in 35 years with my left eye, which has extreme astigmatism and scar tissue from a cornea transplant that I had when I was 15 years old I also have keratoconus. I'm thrilled with the results and will be recommending Dr Joe to all of my friends who are looking for an optometrist. read more

First of all the layout of this office is all wrong. The front desk/reception is in the back of the store. The people in this office are very unfriendly and speak down to you. I believe the optometrist sets the tone for the office as he is also rude and short with people. He was dressed like he was at the gym. The glasses were crooked and they didn't notice. Overall a very unpleasant experience that I will not be repeating. read more

Terrible Service. The overall service at this vision city is there biggest problem, its the staff attitude and the messy environment of the office. I would say that most of the staff treated me okay but they aren't professional AT ALL. I went in for multiple doctor appointments and everytime they make you wait very very long, and then rush your eye exams. Also they keep family owned border collies in the establishment that frequently run around of office making a bigger mess of the already extremely messy office. One lady was walking around the office without shoes or socks on. Today, during an appointment to pickup my glasses, one of the dogs lifted his leg and pissed on my shoe and all over the floor. The same shoeless lady came out from behind the desk, and started yelling at the dog and cleaned up the floor with her bare hands and shoeless feet. This is just ridiculous behavior for an office environment. The doctors/receptionist's dogs should not be allowed in the office - especially if they're not trained enough to know not to piss on their customers. This review was entirely based in truth, and my first hand experience in the Vision City office. yikes. read more

I like this place because I can get my contacts and glasses at a more reasonable price than other places I've been. However, they are so disorganized I really don't know how they keep track of all their patients. Nothing is in the computer. Each person has their own tray with hand written records. This is very problematic and a lot of the time they can't find information they're looking for because it's all over the place. PLEASE put everything in the computer!! read more

Unbelievingly great staff and Dr, obviously busy store but everyone including the Dr took time to answer my questions, the entire staff helped me pick out frames, Marta is a superstar in my book, but the whole team contributed. In all honesty I'm overwhelmed by the quality of care with profit seemingly being a second priority to great care of patients. Both Dr and especially the staff went well above and beyond for both myself and my Gf, I can honestly say that this is the best optometrist office I've been to, and I've been to quite a few. If you're in this area do yourself a favor and at least give Vision City a shot, I swear you will not be disappointed! read more

I have been going to Vision City since 2004 and I can not imagine giving my business to anyone else. It's not that their prices are so much lower than any of their competition, their prices however are very fair. But the reason I have such a tremendous amount of loyalty to this store is because back in 2004 they caught an eye disorder that would have cost me my sight if they had ignored minor anomalies and just adjusted my prescription, like most chain/mall ophthalmologists would do. So it is safe to say the staff there is incredibly thorough and attentive. As for the negatives there tends to be a bit of a wait. Despite making an appointment there have been visits where I was in the waiting room / showroom for around twenty minutes. My only other qualm is that they have (only once, out of about twelve orders) order the wrong lens color for my contacts, but they did not charge me as the mistake was on their side, it did take another week for the lenses to come in. read more

I see a couple good reviews and a couple bad ones. I guess it depends on who you are and what insurance you have as to how you are treated. I took my grand daughter here a few years ago and didn't like a thing about them. The receptionist was rude and the eye doctor very impatient with my grand daughter during the exam. When it came time to pick out frames, we were looking at a rack that she bluntly told us we can not afford.She proceeded to motion us across the room to the (cheap) frames. She rolled her eyes as I told her I'd be paying out-of-pocket for the frames so we'd be choosing the ones we wanted. It was a very bad and uncomfortable experience to say the least. read more

I would agree with the previous posts that this place is highly disorganized. You are placed on hold for an extended period of time schedules and appointments are not kept up. I went in for my appointment last week and they had no record of me there. Why else would I be there? Stay away find another place. read more

This is the WORST place to go!! They have made THREE errors in the lenses of my bifocals. THREE! And no one cared. I EXPLICITLY stated NO PROGRESSIVES! Each time what do I get? Progressives. One of the Dr.'s didn't even apologize!!! Where's the customer service? They don't care! They did not make any attempt to make it right. Nothing. They DID say they would give me my money back with no glasses and I can go somewhere else. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!? People, PLEASE think twice about going here. No one cares. Their work is very shoddy. I have never been kept waiting and conversely, the staff has always been patient with me no matter has many times I changed my mind about the frames I chose during the course of the appointment (which was many).
