I planned to switch over to them January 2026 and ordered the SIM card, when I got to the activation part, it failed. I contacted their chat (only method of communicating with them) 6 times. Their support team tried to work on the problem and in the process cancelled my order. No one could fix the problem and every new agent kept getting worse and worse. Even their supervisor couldn't help, finally after hours I called my old provider, got cheaper service due to their promo (free service for a year!) and finally got mobile service back on my phone. Visible charged me the money for service and after 5 hours with their chat agents they still couldn't get me activated. My old provider helped me get back my service and gave me free mobile for a year and the whole thing was resolved in less than 30 minutes. I switched to visible to save money. I left Verizon. My phone was stolen on a recent trip to Europe. I got a new iPhone while traveling and Visible was NOT able to set up without a tower. It is an esim. I was so disappointed. Returned home. Got Locked out of account trying to reactive my iPhone 10. Agent could not help me get unblocked after an hour. Also gave me bad information and told me my phone was too old to activate and not compatible. I went back to Verizon. Maybe more money, but service and the human touch is important to me. In trying to set up a new phone I experienced the worst experience with visible nonexistent customer service. 1. the agent do not seem to know how to scroll up the chat history to see your previous responses 2. One agent told me the order was placed when it never was 3. I was promised a 'call back' and of course nothing happened 4. Chat agent had no clue and their responses were slow and inconsis 5. The confirma link sometimes don't work and you end up wasting a lot of time just trying to even get past that. 6. They give you the run around almost so you'd give up and go to another service provider. The unacceptable to say the least and it's A shame to their Minimalist cost cutting translates into the customers not getting what they need. I have had enough. Be AWARE of Visible's 15-days for free. It's not true. First, they bill immediately. They provide instructions for cancelling which are invalid. https://www.visible.com/help/managing-visible-account.... Their chatbot goes into an infinite loop on "I can help you cancel" but it does nothing. They provide no customer service phone number. After fighting the chatbot for 30 minutes, I finally got an email. The email stated that a case was opened. (What? Just close the account. It should take minutes.) I tried to reply to the email, and it failed. It seems Visible is trying to make it difficult for customers to get the 15-day free trial. I reported Visible to a few reporting agencies. Making it hard to get your 15-days free is intentional on their part. Within a few hours, some agencies shared with me that I am far from the first with this issue with them. I used to really like Visible, and what's not to appreciate about straightforward pricing as low as $25 per month. Until I had to deal (multiple times) with customer service. It is all done through text. If you think you have a simple issue, expect it to take at least 2 hours to resolve. Between agents not actually paying attention to what you wrote as the issue (they clearly scan the messages and see key phrases or words and assume), and thus, having to re-write and re-phrase multiple times, plus waiting for replies whilst they, presumably, multi-task with other customers, you'll waste a good chunk of your time and energy. Unfortunately, most cheap phone companies I've compared online w/re to customer service all have the same type of rating - very poor. I guess it's true that you "get what you pay for." I feel like Visible knows they're cheap and uses that to sit back and relax about not losing customers. It's total disrespect, as if us (assumed) "poor people" don't deserve the best. Classic mentality in our capitalistic country. Also, I recently moved to another large, metropolitan area where I get virtually no service with Visible - like it's one bar, all the time. They replied that I had already gone over the data limit (unlimited data plan) so they wouldn't refund any of the payment. Hi Visible. Apparently your chat representatives are trained to avoid answering questions and to give customers the run around. Responding to emails doesn't work & you conveniently don't have A store front or customer service phone number. So maybe I can reach you here. I am an incredible infuriated customer of 5 years. I have requested a supervisor callback regarding the fact I have had no service for the past week 3 times. And yet no one has phoned me and no representative can seem to provide a simple yes or no if someone ever will. The first callback request was made last weekend and was scheduled for Monday. no one called. On Tuesday I was told it would happen Wednesday. No call. And then this morning (Thursday) I was told an urgent callback request was made & they guaranteed a supervisor would call me before end of day. No call. Then, when I chat in this evening I'm told there is no record of a call request or any attempt being made. The chat representatives for whatever reason cannot explain why this is the case or when in fact someone will actually phone me. Unfortunately, Instead of saying yes or no when asked if a supervisor will call me within 48 hours the chat conveniently crashes & I have to wait for a new fresh chat with a new rep who repeats the same things. Visible is Verizon's cheaper, deprioritized phone service. I'm basing this 2-star review on a few different criteria: 1. The quality, speed, and value of the phone service 2. The online cell phone shopping experience 3. Customer service's friendliness and ability to help solve problems 4. The app and website user experience Noting the good first: First, I think Visible's value in terms of the phone service itself is good. I don't usually notice bad cell reception, and typically have enough speed to get by without remembering I'm on a deprioritized network getting the sloppy seconds from any real Verizon users near me. So overall, I rate the service pretty highly. In terms of cost, because I'm in a party with 3 other family members, each of pays $25/month for phone service. I love that even though we're on a plan together, we're still able to be billed and to manage our profiles individually. Visible gets a thumbs up for affordability and innovation. Second, Visible's customer service team is very kind. Well meaning, even if not very helpful, people are on the other end of the online chat. Wait times can be high, and issues are not easy to get resolved, but hey, they're nice! Now onto the not so good: I have to say, for being a multi-billion dollar tech company, it surprises me how sloppy Verizon's mobile and online platforms are for Visible. The website and the app are both horrendously ridden with bugs that impact users in big ways, and I haven't yet found a good avenue for getting the bugs resolved in a timely manner. For example, my sister is currently desperate for a new phone. Her current phone is old and has run its course and she needs a phone to do her work. Visible receives a few more points for innovation because they allow shoppers to purchase both new and used/refurbished phones (I don't see refurbished phone buying options at places like AT&T and Verizon) but sadly no points for execution. My sister tried multiple times on both the website and the app to purchase the refurbished phone she wanted using many different payment methods, and every time she got error messages that wouldn't let the sale commence. On the website, we were able to get all the way to "submit order" before getting an error. On the app, the bugs showed up well before that step and we couldn't even attempt to buy a phone. So. Many. Bugs. Customer service sent us tons of ideas to try, none of which worked, and after they'd kindly run through a myriad of tasks for us to try they finally gave up. "Your account is having an issue that will not let you buy the phone" and "I'm so sorry for this" is all we were told. See my point? Kind, and not at all helpful. After the build up of frustration that ensued and the time wasted, we purchased a phone elsewhere. Business literally lost for no better reason than the software development team at Visible can't seam to fix crucial bugs in their system. Even trying to do a simple thing like changing my shipping address on my account is impossible. I gave up. The system bugs out and enters random text and refuses to save the correct address. I've learned that I can't rely on visible to feel or sound or act like a telecommunications company at the scale, technical capacity or professionalism of one of the moguls in the industry. It is simply 2nd best. Or maybe 5th or 6th best. If you need cheap service and have time to jump through the onboarding hoops, understanding nobody is employed to assist you in person if/when issues arise and you'll be chatting with someone on a bug-infested web platform, then go with visible. If you don't want the headache of needing literally anything else most service providers offer, including easier problem solving, pay more for way less hassle with real Verizon, AT&T, or T-mobile. read more

If you ever have to talk to them about anything, there is no phone number. It is chat only. And they chat with multiple people at the same time, so a response every time you say something takes 10 minutes. You end up chatting about a single issue for a minimum of 1 hour. I ordered a new phone through Visible because mine is on the fritz. The only option was overnight and I couldn't give delivery instructions as the recipient. I couldn't request it be delivered in my lockbox, nor could I schedule the delivery, have it dropped at a pickup location, or sign online. I called FedEx and they said the sender would need to call and schedule the delivery. Visible customer service and management said their policy would not allow them to modify the delivery at all, despite what FedEx said. So now, due to my work schedule I will not be home during the next three attempted deliveries, it will fail and then be returned and I'll be refunded. I told them that I am unable to be home before 6 M-W, but this week I'll be at home all day on Thurs/Fri. Ill be home to receive it literally ONE day after the last failed delivery will be. But can they schedule a delivery for that day? Nope. Clearly, they don't want to sell a phone. And before you ask, no, I have absolutely no one who can sign for it for me. They need to alter their ridiculous policy so customers can actually collect their orders. Alter it just enough to be able to modify restrictions within certain hours that customers can actually collect the item. Oh, and I can't order a phone elsewhere now, despite needing one asap because only AFTER the third delivery fail can they initiate a canceled order and refund me, which will take 5-7 business days. read more

I had an issue trying to set up a new account and actually got a quite helpful response. I first contacted them through Facebook Messenger (just type Visible as recipient and they will pop up). Someone got back to me within about 20 minutes and gave me a link to set up a secure on line chat. Once I clicked that, I got very good real time support from a real person and my issue was resolved relatively quickly. read more

I do NOT recommend Visible. I had a nightmare with customer service when Visible messed up my phone upgrade. I cycled endlessly through customer service loops while Visible refused to take responsibility for the error. In the end, they refused to pay the balance on my old phone when I upgraded, as promised. They claimed that my new phone was not purchased through the upgrade program, though it had been, and claimed that they could not flag it as an upgrade post purchase. They wanted me to return the new phone for a refund, and purchase an additional phone, using the same broken process that resulted in the apparent error. An error which they would not acknowledge, though I clearly documented everything with screenshots. What a waste of time and money. On 10/01/2022 I proceeded to transfer my cellphone number and service to Visible wireless. I followed all of the instructions on their website and on their application. I was charged the monthly fee and payed it. They charged my card immediately. They assigned a "temporary number" as that's what they do before they port your number (per customer service chat). When my number did not come over I proceed to chat. After almost 2 hours of chat wait time, I chatted with someone. They assured me that the port was successful and my port will take a few hours. I thought it was normal and reasonable so I waited. The next day at 5:39 AM I received an email that my number was ported. However my service on my phone stopped working. After another 2 hour wait to chat with someone they said there was an error in the port process. They would put in a "ticket" and it would be fixed in 4 hours. It was not as I received an email that my main number was now canceled. I have had this number for about 15 years and legally it's my number. I waited another 2 hours to chat with someone. They proceed to tell me not to worry because they can fix it my number is not canceled. I requested a call back from a supervisor (they have no customer care number, you must chat and request a call) I waited in the chat for 3 hours before someone called me. They couldn't fix and said the department that can fix it doesn't have a phone number and there is no way to fix. They would not transfer me to their supervisor because they said there is no way to call them. They promised to call me back the next day. I called my old carrier to just port my number back as I was scared I would lose my number that I've had for 15 years. My old carrier said they could not port back because it showed cancelled. The next day no one called me back. I chatted for 3 hours again and no resolution. I tried porting to AT&T again and they said it's cancelled. Visible still has not activated and it's holding my number hostage. Please release my number or activate it as I have no way to call emergency services or family or my doctors as I have a lot of health issues. read more

Well, I guess I'm an idiot for not checking Visible reviews on Yelp first, it could have saved me a lot of grief and $45. Apparently everyone else has had the same horrible experience I had. I was with Verizon and decided to try Visible as it is advertised as "Visible by Verizon", a cheaper, prepaid option which turned out to be very misleading because Visible is in fact separate from Verizon. When I unintentionally left Verizon I lost the promotion on my phone as well as my plan which is no longer available to me. Thankfully, Verizon did all they could to help me and fix the situation on their end. Visible, on the other hand, totally screwed me over. This all started last Sat. 10/15, one week ago. We went through the process of using an eSim to get my phone transferred to Visible. They charged me $45. Within a short period I realized I might have made a terrible mistake. Sure enough, like many of the other reviews have stated, I had to wait 1-2 hours in the chat queue to speak with someone. I had no cell service and they had changed my phone number which they don't tell you beforehand, I've had my number for over 20 years and I needed to keep it. They were able to migrate my old number over to them but then after a frustrating afternoon of trying to get my phone to work I decided to abort and go back to Verizon. This is where things got really messy. I had the same problem as some of the other reviewers, my phone number got stuck in some sort of port and Verizon was unable to migrate my old number back. So this became a 4 day headache, hours on the phone with Verizon, hours trying to chat with Visible who weren't helpful at all, they just kept telling me everything was fine on their end. Meanwhile, I still have no cell service. By the 3rd day Verizon was able to generate a temporary number for me so I could at least switch back and have a working phone. Finally after even more hours of chatting with Visible someone created a ticket and escalated my case and my old number was migrated back to Verizon the next day. However, now they tell me I am not eligible for a refund. I was with Visible for only 2 days, during which time I had no cell service, wasted hours of my life I will never get back and somehow I am not eligible for a refund? Who, then, would be eligible for a refund?? What was the $45 for exactly? They will not provide any explanation why. The whole purpose of switching to Visible was to try to save some money. I have been struggling financially and I have some medical bills coming up so I am trying to find ways to save. On top of all the stress and hassle I now have a higher bill with Verizon because of inadvertently leaving them for Visible who then essentially robbed me of $45. Horrible, greedy company, terrible and useless customer service, truly the worst experience I have ever had as a customer. read more

They disconnected my phone service with Verizon without my permission but did not properly port the number to Visible. Therefore I am without cell phone service. My experience was as BAD as all previous comments about non-existing service and being on chat for hrs at a time without any results. Porting over was a nightmare! One bright spot on Oct. 29th was new employee, Bety - we spent literally hours on chat to get my port effective and my phone working. Their protection plan insurance isn't much better - Assurant - filed claim on Oct 6th - finally got replacement phone on Oct 28th after many many calls and screw ups on their end. I cancelled my protection plan and now have Apple Care+ Theft & Loss coverage. Will stay only the minimum time to get my sign up visa gift card - then good bye and good riddance. read more

My experience with Visible has been absolutely horrendous. Set up was difficult and confusing, and it just got worse from there. My voicemail has never worked properly. I contacted Visible when I was first having trouble, but of course could only speak with the Chat, who I suspect is really just a bot. I was told I had to uninstall my voicemail app and install a new one, which I did. But it still didn't work. So a support person from Visible called me, and told me Visibile could not help me because I had uninstalled my Voicemail App and installed a new one - EXACTLY LIKE VISIBLE SUPPORT HAD TOLD ME TO DO! My voicemail still does not work and am looking to go back to Verizon as soon as I can. Yes, Visible does save me some money, but it's not worth it if the service doesn't work. I'll spare you all the details but will say I've spent 6+ hours with their online customer service (only chat is available, you cannot talk or email with a real person). From day one, I have not been able to receive data on their network (it's been 2-weeks now). I even bought a second phone from them because they said the first one was defective.
