Told them specifically what games and programs were crashing. I didnt need any work done i simply asked them to diagnose it and let me know what the problem was. They had it for a week and a half before they finally did anything with it. They then proceeded to tell me that they replaced the thermal paste and that it should be working now. They charged me 100 dollars for a simple task and the thermal paste which i can normally get for 5 dollars on amazon. I get home and turn on the computer and go straight to the game i told them was crashing and wouldn't you guess it... it crash before the game even started. You are better off going to someone on facebook marketplace or go to a known computer store like micro center. Micro center never seems to fail me for simple diagnosing. read more

I had a terrible experience with uBreakiFix. I dropped off my iPad and was initially told it would be ready in 4-5 days. After that time passed with no updates, I called and spoke with someone, who informed me they had to order all new parts. This made no sense because when I dropped it off, the staff spent an extremely long time going to the back multiple times to check for the part and confirmed they had it, or else I would have taken my device elsewhere. I had to call again because they still weren't updating me. They promised it would be ready by 5 PM on a Monday. I went in the next day, and it still wasn't ready--they said they had to replace the screen again. When I returned at the new time they promised, the store was packed with people waiting, and after 20 minutes of waiting, I had to push to the front to ask if I could pick up my iPad. The staff rudely told me everyone else was also waiting to pick up, and it would take a while. This place is run worse than the DMV. They're so disorganized, using sticky notes to ask for email addresses and phone numbers multiple times. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else! read more

There was a single key that didn't work and it wouldn't hold a charge, and they replaced the entire keyboard, fan, trackpad and battery and charged me like 500 bucks. Now, my macbook doesn't connect to any wifi, the trackpad barely works, and it holds even less of a charge than it did. I was at first drawn to this place by the good past reviews and by the estimated turn-around time to replace my battery--only a few hours versus the several days estimated by other phone repair services. It did take only a few hours and service was friendly, but when I took the phone home and discovered my call speaker wasn't working (could not hear calls, though the other party could hear me), they were unwilling to fix the problem without charging me. The tech insisted they could not have caused the problem. Internet searching indicates that the speaker cable is near the battery and could have become disconnected in the process of battery replacement. I didn't mind paying the original $90 charge (though excessive per on-line search) because I assumed this business would back their work. Also disconcerting was that they asked me to write down my passcode to get into the phone when I originally left it there, something I've since determined is not needed to change a battery (only to do quality checks after repair), so if you do go here for repairs, I urge you to push back on this request given the sketchy treatment I received. read more

This was my second experience with uBreakiFix. My first encounter involved an iPhone. The charging cord was loose when I plugged it in, with a poor connection. I thought I was going to need to replace the charging port. Instead, it just took a cleaning to get lint out, which they did for free. My second encounter involved an old Game Boy, which I wanted to see if I could salvage and restore to give as a gift to someone. BAD PARTS! I got my phone camera glass repaired, and all of a sudden the lenses was smudged/scratched and they insisted they couldn't have caused the issue. They then repaired the entire camera lens which is now extremely blurry. Please just take your phone to the apple or samsung store, this was not worth it. They charged $140 to fix the camera lens and I could have gotten a genuine apple part for $150. now I cannot zoom in to take pictures. read more

I am completely unhappy with your stores service. I brought in a PlayStation 5 and a dual sense edge controller for repair on 8/18/24. The PlayStation could not hold a network connection and the dual sense edge controller had stick drift. I was told that it would take a week to diagnose the problem with the PlayStation and a week to repair the dual sense edge controller by replacing the removable stick module. On 10/31/24 I received an email saying the PlayStation 5 was repaired and ready for pickup. So I went in to pick my devices up and was told that the place is under new management and that's why the repair took so long. After paying for the repair I asked is the controller done as well, and was told that my controller was misplaced and needed more time to be found. A few days go by and I called the store to see if there were any updates on the misplaced controller and was told that the controller was lost and will now be replaced by store manager but it will take a few days for the store manager to get back to me. A few weeks ago by and I contact the store again and was told to call the next day when the manager will be in. Next day I call and manager tells me they will replace the controller but I will still have to pay $60 for the original repair order. Today 11/17/24 I go into the store to pay $60 and pick up my replaced controller and tell them the repair on the PS5 wasn't done because it's doing the same thing when I first brought it in for repair. He told me to bring the PS5 back in and they will try again. Then I was handed a stock PS5 dual sense controller instead of a dual sense edge controller. Without paying I told the guy that's not the same type of controller I was told would be replaced and he stated the repair order doesn't say what type of controller was originally brought in by me. At this point I have now gotten robbed and was told by Miguel to take it or leave it. Customer service at this location is trash at its best. I am owed a Dual sense edge controller and a refund or repair of my PS5. read more

I put it on my to do list for the next week because that week was already booked solid for me. Store hours said 10am to 5pm. My appointment was for 3pm. Showed up to the spot, doors locked, open sign off, UPS notice stuck to the door. The place had been closed all day. Waited for a while, maybe it was a bathroom/lunch break? Nothing. No notice, no email, no phone call. Just showed up for a scheduled appointment and no one is there. With closures due to Covid-19, I thought I was really in trouble when my Switch endured some water damage. However, the team at this location took my switch in that same day and had it back to me in 48 hours. They were completely honest with their diagnosis of the damage. My switch was not is as bad of shape as I thought it was and they did not take advantage of the situation! Instead they only charged what was necessary and, again, were very quick to turn it around! I'm glad to have my switch back and working with minimal water damage. After all, quarantine boredom makes my device a hot commodity so it was a relief to not have to replace it! read more

I made a yelp account just to review this business. I never review places because even if the service or time was a bit bad, I understand everyone has off days. This however was completely unacceptable. I would never recommend someone use this service. I took off work to get my phone fixed. I chose walk-in. The store by me had a sign that said they had already reached their limit for phone fixes that day. I said alright I am coming in for a walk-in 2 hours before closing, they must be swamped, I get it. So I call the next UbreakIfix store close to me and ask if they are allowing walk-ins, and if they could see me same day in 30 minutes (the driving time). They say yes. I drive 25 minutes to the other store. I get out and they are CLOSED. I call the number back - same that's posted on the door. The same guy says "Oh that's weird, I didn't know they weren't open. Then he said let me make you another appointment", at a THIRD location, same day. I said are you sure they will be able to see me, now it will be another 20 minute drive and they will be closing in a hour then. He said NO PROBLEM I will put a note on your new appointment ticket explaining what happened. I drive to the THIRD location and that one is also CLOSED. I call back again and I get a new person helping me. This time the women offers nothing for me, she says "Yeah they aren't open right now I guess. I can make an appointment for you some time tomorrow is your best bet." After TWO HOURS of driving around for 2 "scheduled" appointments that were made over the phone and confirmed by email. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a company. I would have not been upset at all if I called the second store and they said, "You can't be seen today." or "We aren't open" over the phone but instead I got false promises and appointments that made me drive for HOURS. What a waste!! What is the point of having different store numbers if each one leads to a call center that KNOWS NOTHING and is making fake appointments?? read more

Tried to call many times--no human ever answered. Tried to visit again. Not open during midday. Permanently closed. They destroyed my computer because they say I didn't pick it up within sixty days. My PC had intermittent power problems. uBreakiiFix analyzed it and told me in so many words: - We think it is the power supply, - It will cost $180 to fix. My reaction was: - You *think* it is the power supply? - Being an EE and having built many pieces of electronic equipment in the past, I know that power supplies are pretty simple units, thus $180 seems excessive. So I took my PC as-is. To their credit uBreakiFix did not charge me for a service call. I compliment them for that. Then I contacted an individual that had done work for me before. He also believed the power supply was at fault, and that a new one costs $25-50. Upon further analysis, he discovered that it actually was a software problem and fixed it. This place is awesome!!!! I have had issues with the heat in my car for months. I was not able to turn off the heat-even when the controller was off-it was blowing full heat in my face at all times-it was getting pretty hot even with the windows down and it's only February. After extensive research online it ended up being a tiny wire that needed to be soldered back to the temperature control assembly. I dismantled my car-got out the temperature control assembly and took it in. They soldered back in place and didn't charge me because the wire was pretty short and they weren't confident in the solder joint. Did it same day! Reassembled my car and I know have control of the temperature of my car again. Saved me $800 to replace the temperature control assembly. Thank you Andrew!
