Visible is Verizon's cheaper, deprioritized phone service. I'm basing this 2-star review on a few different criteria: 1. The quality, speed, and value of the phone service 2. The online cell phone shopping experience 3. Customer service's friendliness and ability to help solve problems 4. The app and website user experience Noting the good first: First, I think Visible's value in terms of the phone service itself is good. I don't usually notice bad cell reception, and typically have enough speed to get by without remembering I'm on a deprioritized network getting the sloppy seconds from any real Verizon users near me. So overall, I rate the service pretty highly. In terms of cost, because I'm in a party with 3 other family members, each of pays $25/month for phone service. I love that even though we're on a plan together, we're still able to be billed and to manage our profiles individually. Visible gets a thumbs up for affordability and innovation. Second, Visible's customer service team is very kind. Well meaning, even if not very helpful, people are on the other end of the online chat. Wait times can be high, and issues are not easy to get resolved, but hey, they're nice! Now onto the not so good: I have to say, for being a multi-billion dollar tech company, it surprises me how sloppy Verizon's mobile and online platforms are for Visible. The website and the app are both horrendously ridden with bugs that impact users in big ways, and I haven't yet found a good avenue for getting the bugs resolved in a timely manner. For example, my sister is currently desperate for a new phone. Her current phone is old and has run its course and she needs a phone to do her work. Visible receives a few more points for innovation because they allow shoppers to purchase both new and used/refurbished phones (I don't see refurbished phone buying options at places like AT&T and Verizon) but sadly no points for execution. My sister tried multiple times on both the website and the app to purchase the refurbished phone she wanted using many different payment methods, and every time she got error messages that wouldn't let the sale commence. On the website, we were able to get all the way to "submit order" before getting an error. On the app, the bugs showed up well before that step and we couldn't even attempt to buy a phone. So. Many. Bugs. Customer service sent us tons of ideas to try, none of which worked, and after they'd kindly run through a myriad of tasks for us to try they finally gave up. "Your account is having an issue that will not let you buy the phone" and "I'm so sorry for this" is all we were told. See my point? Kind, and not at all helpful. After the build up of frustration that ensued and the time wasted, we purchased a phone elsewhere. Business literally lost for no better reason than the software development team at Visible can't seam to fix crucial bugs in their system. Even trying to do a simple thing like changing my shipping address on my account is impossible. I gave up. The system bugs out and enters random text and refuses to save the correct address. I've learned that I can't rely on visible to feel or sound or act like a telecommunications company at the scale, technical capacity or professionalism of one of the moguls in the industry. It is simply 2nd best. Or maybe 5th or 6th best. If you need cheap service and have time to jump through the onboarding hoops, understanding nobody is employed to assist you in person if/when issues arise and you'll be chatting with someone on a bug-infested web platform, then go with visible. If you don't want the headache of needing literally anything else most service providers offer, including easier problem solving, pay more for way less hassle with real Verizon, AT&T, or T-mobile. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. I wasn't even able to get a Sim card to know how the rest of the service is. They ONLY do FedEx delivery with a required signature at delivery. NOTHING ELSE. I'm Sorry but I can't sit home all day and wait for delivery when i have a job. To say this made it not just inconvenient, but impossible for people who work day jobs. It was shipped to me with instructions stating that I must sign for it, and that I could not pick it up at Fed Ex, not even with proof of I.D. Today is June 10, 2026 and Visible has not contacted Affirm about the cancellation, receipt of the return, or the refund. I have called and talked to a customer service rep. on June 2, 2026. I was told that everything is okay, and that they do have my returned Iphone , and that I would receive a refund in 2-3 business days. It's been 8. I tried calling them back today, June 10, 2026. False advertising, stating unlimited use. Was accused of spamming when I sent text messages to friends and family saying Happy Easter. Cut service off with no warning. Could not get anyone to fix the issues after 4 days of back and forth. Then finally someone got everything but the calling feature to work at which time they proceeded to charge me for service and send threatening email about a final warning. Took over a day and multiple chats with multiple "people", if they are even people, to finally get the calling going. The only thing good about visible is that it's affordable. Their website/app is so slow. The coverage of service is okay. I had reached out via chat regarding upgrading my phone as the information wasn't listed within my account. The representative was incredibly unhelpful and I was on my way to have dinner with my husband so I disconnected the chat. The service is okay, but the billing system is really bad. It's set up on computer system, but ONLY works with 'automatic payment' being selected, and set up. I pay annually, so I get billed once a year. The fraud department at my credit card company declined the payment, with a high credit limit, and a $0 balance. Now, with no one actually at Visible to bill my card, now that the problem has been corrected, I have to wait upon their poorly managed system. This is a problem for someone that's accustomed to paying all of their bills, in a timely manner. Add to that, the lack of human interaction to correct the issue, and it's a true headache! read more

My phone number was illegally ported out from At and t to Visible. I contacted both At and T where I held an account for 20 years and Visible by Verizon. Visible has not returned my number that I use for business and personal and it has been three days. You cannot reach anyone by phone. It is too easy for crooks to hijack your number but when you attempt to retrieve it back they put the legitimate owner through the ringer. This leads me to believe that the companies encourage this fraud because they do not prevent it from happening and they do not restore you to whole after you bring it to their attention immediately. If I could leave negative or zero stars I would. As one reviewer mentioned, the only "good" thing is the rate they offer, but everything else sucks. I planned to switch over to them January 2026 and ordered the SIM card, when I got to the activation part, it failed. I contacted their chat (only method of communicating with them) 6 times. Their support team tried to work on the problem and in the process cancelled my order. No one could fix the problem and every new agent kept getting worse and worse. Even their supervisor couldn't help, finally after hours I called my old provider, got cheaper service due to their promo (free service for a year!) and finally got mobile service back on my phone. Visible charged me the money for service and after 5 hours with their chat agents they still couldn't get me activated. My old provider helped me get back my service and gave me free mobile for a year and the whole thing was resolved in less than 30 minutes. Be AWARE of Visible's 15-days for free. It's not true. First, they bill immediately. After fighting the chatbot for 30 minutes, I finally got an email. The email stated that a case was opened. (What? Just close the account. It should take minutes.) I used to really like Visible, and what's not to appreciate about straightforward pricing as low as $25 per month. Until I had to deal (multiple times) with customer service. It is all done through text. If you think you have a simple issue, expect it to take at least 2 hours to resolve. Between agents not actually paying attention to what you wrote as the issue (they clearly scan the messages and see key phrases or words and assume), and thus, having to re-write and re-phrase multiple times, plus waiting for replies whilst they, presumably, multi-task with other customers, you'll waste a good chunk of your time and energy. Unfortunately, most cheap phone companies I've compared online w/re to customer service all have the same type of rating - very poor. I guess it's true that you "get what you pay for." I feel like Visible knows they're cheap and uses that to sit back and relax about not losing customers. It's total disrespect, as if us (assumed) "poor people" don't deserve the best. Hi Visible. Apparently your chat representatives are trained to avoid answering questions and to give customers the run around. Responding to emails doesn't work & you conveniently don't have A store front or customer service phone number. So maybe I can reach you here. I am an incredible infuriated customer of 5 years. I have requested a supervisor callback regarding the fact I have had no service for the past week 3 times. And yet no one has phoned me and no representative can seem to provide a simple yes or no if someone ever will. The first callback request was made last weekend and was scheduled for Monday. no one called. On Tuesday I was told it would happen Wednesday. No call. And then this morning (Thursday) I was told an urgent callback request was made & they guaranteed a supervisor would call me before end of day. No call. Then, when I chat in this evening I'm told there is no record of a call request or any attempt being made. The chat representatives for whatever reason cannot explain why this is the case or when in fact someone will actually phone me. Unfortunately, Instead of saying yes or no when asked if a supervisor will call me within 48 hours the chat conveniently crashes & I have to wait for a new fresh chat with a new rep who repeats the same things. For the last week I have received no genuine customer service & only generic responses designed to avoid direct answers. No commitment to solving my issue or showing leadership in talking to a rightfully frustrated customer. What is going on?? Please provide me the date/time and the name of a supervisor who will phone me in the next 48hrs? I'm not asking for much here. I ordered a new phone through Visible because mine is on the fritz. The only option was overnight and I couldn't give delivery instructions as the recipient. I couldn't request it be delivered in my lockbox, nor could I schedule the delivery, have it dropped at a pickup location, or sign online. I called FedEx and they said the sender would need to call and schedule the delivery. Visible customer service and management said their policy would not allow them to modify the delivery at all, despite what FedEx said. So now, due to my work schedule I will not be home during the next three attempted deliveries, it will fail and then be returned and I'll be refunded. I told them that I am unable to be home before 6 M-W, but this week I'll be at home all day on Thurs/Fri. Ill be home to receive it literally ONE day after the last failed delivery will be. But can they schedule a delivery for that day? Nope. Clearly, they don't want to sell a phone. And before you ask, no, I have absolutely no one who can sign for it for me. They need to alter their ridiculous policy so customers can actually collect their orders. Alter it just enough to be able to modify restrictions within certain hours that customers can actually collect the item. Oh, and I can't order a phone elsewhere now, despite needing one asap because only AFTER the third delivery fail can they initiate a canceled order and refund me, which will take 5-7 business days. read more
