I went there because of some good reviews, I decided to ignore the negative ones since this place it's been open for so long. Anyhow, Joe cut my hair and I clearly stated just do my undercut and trim the top, don't go shorter because I have an event this upcoming Friday and I want to curl it. He even said-:"No layers right?!, we aren't on the 80's" Sad to said that he chopped the top layers shorter than the bottom, now it looks like I have a step ladder where before my hair was blended. Texted him to show him the picture after I showered, and styled it, and he said come over I will cut it shorter. I messaged Cindy the owner, didn't even got an apology, she just said to call him. I've been going to this salon for years now. Service has always been great (observation while getting hair colored). Price is affordable. I've always referred people to this salon, especially if they are Asian and want some type of blond hair because you need someone who knows how to care for certain types of hair, not just anyone. Place is always clean. Went back my first time in a year since the pandemic started and they are very safe. They truly care for the safety of their customers. The great customer service they provided before the pandemic is still there. My go-to stylist is Cindy, the owner. She is awesome at making my color idea come true and better. I'm always at awe at the result every single time. Also, she's honest and that's what we need in a stylist. For example, if you want an exact color, she'll let you know if it will work or not because it all depends on your hair and it's type. There are other stylists there that are also very experienced as well and have been doing hair for what seems forever. read more

I've been here a few times since relocating to Sacramento. At first I was pretty happy- the hair cuts are affordable and Cindy did a decent job with my hair. However, I would say their hair products are mediocre at best. What really made this a 2 star review for me now is my experience with Joe since Cindy is on maternity leave. I showed him a picture of what I was going for and he completely disregarded it. I don't think he even looked at it. I ended up with a haircut which does not address the problems I complained about. I feel that my cut was simply just a "get it done" job and he really did not understand how to cut hair correctly based on an individual's hair. He also charged me a lot more than Cindy. I seriously regret coming here! My friend that recommended this place has also taken her business elsewhere. I would highly recommend you continue your research if you are debating to establish service here. read more

I went to Visage for an eyelash perm. I was super excited because the thought of not having to do my lashes was awesome! Getting there, I was immediately taken back. When I got in the back, the lady asked me what type of curl I wanted. I said I wanted a "dramatic" curl. That was a huge mistake. The lady who did my lashes should of said something in that using a smaller rod would literally crimp my eyes and not in a good way. The kit they used also looked like the kit I could buy on Amazon for $20 and do my own lashes. It took about an hour. I did not like people coming and going into the room. It's rude. I got what I paid for. Next time, I'll be going to someone who just does lashes. I would pass for getting your lashes permed here. I'm pretty unhappy the way my lashes turned out. read more

Wanted to go lighter for spring and since my regular hair stylist was busy, I decided to try this place out. I scheduled an appointment a day in advance and the lady who answered my call scheduled me with Francis. My appointment was at 1230, arrived about 20 minutes early and Francis was able to start on me right away. I explained to her I wanted to go lighter on the ends (ombré) and that I wanted it Ash blonde, but to keep the top my natural black color. The entire process took about three hours, which is typical because I have very thick and wavy hair. After Francis washed my hair, she used the blow dryer to dry it out and it came out great! Very ashy; just what I asked for. Would definitely come back and have Francis do my hair again. She was really sweet. The place is located in an area by a few restaurants and there is plenty of parking. It was clean inside. There wasn't a receptionist during my visit, so note that if all the stylists are working on a customer, no one is there to answer the phones and it goes to their voicemail, in case you call and no one answers... for a while. read more

Trying to make an appointment was a headache. Calling the on their phone would not work because their phone was out of service. I texted one of the workers to make an appointment and they never responded back. I had to drive and walk in a few days before to ask if they can give me an appointment. Anyways, I made an appointment for 1 pm, and I didn't get serviced until 1:23 pm. I would have appreciated a text or phone call letting me know they were running late so I could have not wasted my time sitting around (I really value my time and others' time as well and I was being considerate to them by showing up 5 minutes early). Next, I asked for beach waves and for my hair to be parted down the middle which I did not get. Furthermore, my hair was left feeling so hard and sticky from all the hair spray and products afterward. I think I was most upset about the pricing. I had come into the salon one week before to get an estimate on what the cost for curls with shampoo and condition for my hair type would be and they told me AROUND $35. I ended up paying $80 (with tip) which is NO where close to the "around" $35 I was quoted. Mind you I asked for the quote in person where I showed them my hair and they saw the length and thickness. I was trying to find a hair salon where I could go consistently every week for a blowout but they lost me as a customer after that. Needless to say I will not be returning. P.S. after 1 day of getting my hair styled, my hair started to feel very itchy and greasy which never happens to me when I get blowouts. read more

Update: The bruising she causes lasted 8 days. ---------- I would never go back here and I told that to the person that tinted my lashes. This review is a warning for others that are considering getting their eyelashes tinted here. She did not know what she was doing and died the skin underneath my eyes so it looks like I have black eyes. She left it on for at least 20 minutes. My gauge for that was 4 pop songs and a commercial set on the radio. It still has not washed off after almost 24 hours and bruising is developing because she had to scrub my skin so hard when she tried to get the dye off. I am also filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau also. This place was totally empty when I walked in with some guy in the back room eating his lunch loudly with the door wide open. I was referred to this place by a couple of people at my old job. They recommended a bunch of different people so i decided to just take my luck, and take whoever was available. I walked in one morning and was greeted by some Caucasian woman. (I apologize that I have to go by their ethnicity since I can't remember names too well =X). I told her that I needed a cut and full color, and she was able to take me in that second -- cool. So we sat down and got started. She was very nice and easy to talk to the entire time, but I began feeling a bit queezy about her doing my hair since she kept asking all the other stylists there for advice =/. Not to mention that when I asked her to cut my layers a little shorter she said she didn't want to do it, and no matter how much I insisted that it was the style I wanted, she wouldn't do it. Anyways, in the end my hair came out decent ... but I paid ~$150 w/tip. I decided to come back another time with my co-worker/friend Maria, who recommended Cindi (I think that's how you spell her name). We did a double appt, where she worked on both of us at the same time, both of us getting a full color/cut. Oh, and BW, the woman I went to for my first visit was no longer working there when I went back for my 2nd one. But moving on, Maria's hair ended up a bit multi-colored that day ... with some red/pink/purple streaks mixed into ther brown/blonde/black hair -- BUT it all did wash out, leaving her with some amazing looking highlights that kept its color till our next visit. My hair came out great as well, and so did my cut. I also got a set of hair supplies bringing my grand total to ~$210 w/tip. On my most recent visit I went back with Maria to do another double appointment, but I guess Cindi couldn't do it this time. I realized at this point that they're pretty good at getting people fitted in the day of for their services, which is a huge plus. I arrived first and she asked me to go with another stylist, which was a Latina woman. My 3rd stylist trying there. She was super nice and I liked talking to her. Not to mention that she did an AMAZING job. I LOVE my hair ... LOVE! I only got a color this time since I'm letting my hair grow long, but the color turned out great, and EXACTLY what I wanted. Not to mention that she also fixed my bangs up for me =P. Oh, and my friend Maria's hair turned out FAB as well. My total for this last visit was ~$130 w/tip. Sadly I don't think I'll be able to make it back into the area in time for my touch up ... but maybe I'll come here every other visit, and attempt to find a spot in NYC that can just make it bearable till I can get back. Till then I'll give this place 4 stars, and when I make my next visit back I'll update my review, hopefully to 5 -- since consistency is key ;). read more

She tells me that she would have to cut a good portion of my hair as the Groupon is good for short hair. She takes a good 7inches from My hair. Once she is done with the cut and color she tells me that I would have to pay an extra $30 as my hair was long, I asked her why she had to cut it if she was charging me extra. Liz is hands down the best hair stylist I've ever had and I've gone through plenty. I had long hair and she was able to trim it a year ago without over doing it. Because of that, I could trust her and got confident in trying new looks that I was too afraid of doing because of bad haircuts. Do not do your hair at this place. I woman named Brigitte messed up my hair so bad. I was crying, I was so mad of her. I don't think she ever did a haircut. I told her how I want it. I thought she understood what I wanted. I said do not cut the layers up, I just want low layers. I don't how she stared so fast, she grabbed lots of hair up and cut off a big chunk of hair on the top. I said what are you doing? I told you I didn't want it like that. She told me, oh well that's the way a cut hair. I didn't know what to do anymore. I Complained a lot and finally she finished. Horrible, horrible haircut. Something was wrong with that woman, her nose was so red, with sores. She was acting very strange, maybe she was on something. I can't believe that they have people like that working on that place. Nothing special. Came in and told the guy, about my groupon. He asked, how much did I get the groupon. It feels like, they have different treatment when you have groupon. They charged extra $10 because the hair is thicker and it's hard to blow dry. Really? That's why we are having a hair cut and how would it be hard to dry it when you are cutting it short. I went to Visage to see Joseph on the recommendation of a family member who has been seeing him regularly for blonde dye for awhile. I scheduled an appointment to get my golden blonde balayage touched up. I originally got my balayage at another salon and I loved it but it was too far away for me to go back. Joseph had foil and it made me nervous. He asked me if the last girl used foil and I tell him she did not use foil because she was creating the blended effect. He said, "NAH!! WHAT?? No foil??" We discuss the difference between balayage and ombre and since he's the professional, he should know what he's doing. I get home later and inspect the back of my hair. My hair looks AWFUL. Like I dyed all of it one shade below platinum but my roots have grown out. (see photos) I text him the next morning and tell him it's wrong. He says he can tone it and blend it with high/low lights. I decline because I will find another salon that specializes in balayage. He tells me to Google images of balayage and look at the curly/wavy hair. He says, "I can do the balayage painting technique on your hair and retone it to the appropriate color to break up the blondes, so let me know...." WHY didn't he do that to begin with? He tells me he cannot refund me because it is a service not a product and "next time we will be clearer in the consultation with pictures." My hair was ALREADY balayaged the way I wanted. He had what I wanted right in front of him. He offered a cut and color credit if I should wish to go back, but now I have to spend even more money ($300-500) on a complete color correction. read more

Yes you waited 15 mins, yes your service took 4 hours. Like I told you it would be 3 hours or longer before I started the service on your daughter hair. You said OK! Yes you bought a Groupon that was only for a partial highlight in which I explained to you multiple times that it only cover a partial highlight. Your daughter wanted more than partial highlights and wanted full ombré/balayage. I explained to you and your daughter that the cost would be more. As for your hair being Carmalee I explain to you and your daughter that getting her hair that light would cause damage and breakage to her hair in which she already had breakage because you told me that she flat irons her hair every day and does not use heat protectant to protect her hair. I also explained to you that it wasn't a guarantee that I can get her that light without damaging her hair more than what it was. Would you have rather me get her really light and have her hair fall out and be stringy?. Before I toned your daughters hair I told her if she would like for me to run the lightner through her hair one more time to see if I can get it a little lighter but she was going to have a lot of damage in her hair and your daughter said no we can tone it so I told her I will tone it to a color that matches and blends in. On top of her damaged hair she had from mid shaft to end color in her hair. Before the both of you left I explained to the both what she needed to do to make her hair stronger that she needed a haircut and if she went any lighter that her ends would break off. I explain to her take care of your hair and if you decided to go a little lighter she could if she maintains her hair back to a better condition. read more

Kelly is the best. I've been looking for a local stylist that can color and cut. I found her...Kelly at Visage Salon. I have dark black hair with gray hair. I wanted a blend that would mask the onslaught of gray. I didn't know what the heck I wanted. But Kelly showed me photos and answered my questions. She provided her recommendations. I settled on a ombré coloring in warm brown shades with a shoulder length layered cut. She worked quickly, she has quick hands. But it did not compromise on the quality. I was out of there in 2.5 hours but it didn't seem that long because she was great to talk to. Kelly is so fun and personable. Plus she has gorgeous hair, highlighted healthy shiny hair. With me, she thinned out my hair and curled it. It looked so good. Very light, smooth, and natural. I love it! I walked in without a full vision of what I wanted. She listened to me and WA-LA...she nailed it. I suggest calling ahead and ask about pricing for what you want done, so you can avoid the sticker shock in person. But ask for Kelly you will not regret it. She works a part time schedule. read more

I purchased 6 laser lipo sessions thru Groupon during the worst time of the year to lose weight - New Years. I did not think it through when I purchased it at the time because I was sure they would have no appointments left. I called and because they are open 7 days a week, I got in that same week. I was too excited to try it out despite my lack of exercise and already losing 130 lbs., I was surprised to see the results at the end of my 4th session.
