This was my second visit to Blush, and unfortunately, the experience was very different from my…read morefirst. I scheduled a visit a few days in advance for three people and four services and paid an $80 deposit ($20 per service) via Venmo. One person canceled that morning, but I was able to switch to a different service for myself that same day vs. losing my deposit. The two pedicures were fine. They were basic pedicures, and aside from the water initially being extremely hot, I was happy with the results. Because of the deposit, there was also no wait time. The head spa, however, was a completely different experience. This was my first head spa, so I was excited and expected it to be relaxing. Unfortunately, it was anything but. The massage was brief, and despite the menu stating that oils would be used, none were applied. During the double cleanse, the technician used her fingernails rather than her fingertips, which became painful. There was also an excessive amount of cleanser, and rinsing it out was difficult. The water temperature was extremely inconsistent--going from hot to ice cold--and water got into my ear. Instead of feeling relaxed, I was uncomfortable throughout the service. Afterward, my hair was not completely dry. When I asked for serum, I was told it had already been applied, and I had to explain that I wanted my hair fully dried and soft. Another staff member eventually finished drying it, and the end result was much better. The two services totaled $138, or $158 with a 15% tip. I shared all of this feedback with the front desk before leaving. They were receptive and said they would provide additional training. I was also told that the technician was new to the salon and has some communication issues. I appreciate that they listened to my concerns, but based on my head-spa experience, I would not return for that service. *********************************************************** FINAL THOUGHTS Making a reservation requires a deposit, but it does give you priority if there's a wait. PRO TIP: I visited on a Saturday around noon, and it wasn't busy at all. If you're coming in solo, you can probably skip the reservation and deposit. I've had two pedicures here, and the service was totally fine. No issues at all. I also clearly saw the technicians using Barbicide to disinfect their metal tools, although I didn't pay attention to where they pulled the drill bits from. Overall, the salon is CLEAN, which I really appreciate. Personally, I wouldn't get a head spa treatment here again. I was told they're having plumbing issues because the building is old and that their plumber hasn't been able to resolve the problem. However, based on my experience, I feel some of the issues were related to the technician and not just the plumbing. That said, I'd love to hear from others who have had a head spa here. How was your experience with the water temperature? Did you have a better experience with a different technician? I'd genuinely be curious to know!

I was in pain, but she handled it like a pro. She even recommended a nail builder to keep my nails strong, which I didn't know I needed but now swear by. Duyen was sweet and made sure my daughter and I had drinks like we were at a spa. Sophia was working nearby and still had such a kind energy. And Phil? Phil is the unofficial house comedian. If you like your nails with a side of stand-up, he's your guy. AND... Grace and Phil randomly started singing. Like, actual vocals. I came in for a nail repair and somehow ended up at a mini concert/comedy show. 10/10 would attend again. Yes I understand it's been awhile as well and inflation is a very real thing. I was excited to come back and Andy was sweet and did a great job. I just can't understand the pricing when at other places it's $40 for a pedicure and $35/40 for fills for the same services. Today, a nail tech abruptly took over my service and immediately told me I "should go somewhere else" because I'm "never satisfied." I have never raised my voice, insulted anyone, or behaved disrespectfully. I simply expect quality for the price I pay. She went as far as saying the staff "gets scared" when I come in, which is not only unprofessional but completely false. Throughout the past year, I've also noticed that the staff frequently speaks in their language while looking directly at me or other clients, creating an uncomfortable environment where customers feel talked about instead of respected. This has happened every single time I've visited. To make matters worse, shortly before my service was finished, I overheard another woman complaining about her nail tech as well, proving I'm not the only customer experiencing issues. When I requested a small discount due to the disrespect I received, the salon refused. No apology, no accountability, and no professionalism. After a year of loyalty and hundreds of dollars spent, this is how I was treated. I will not be returning, and I hope management seriously reevaluates how staff communicates with customers and handles feedback.

I took a break from getting my nails done recently, but decided to come in this weekend to get a pedicure for our upcoming vacation. I made an appointment for 9:45am and was immediately greeted and seated at a pedicure station - I was also offered water too. I went with the Deluxe Pedicure which was $42 + extra for the Gel polish. The lady who did my pedicure was very friendly while taking her time - she did a great job! They're very personable at Monet Spa which I also like - the owner remembered my name and that I'm married and have a daughter. The staff is always so grateful to see you back too! Overall, I'm glad I decided to come back and give them another chance. This is definitely my new favorite nail salon!

For anyone looking to go platinum blonde or to get tap-in hair extensions, I highly recommend Jen Slipak! She will get you hair to a healthy level of blonde (within reason to how dark/light your hair is now..) It took a few appointments (I was a dark brown) but finely back to my snow white hair! During the process of going from brunette to blonde she made it look natural -not orange- AND its not fried out like every other hairdresser I've ever had has done my hair...She refuses to let you leave unless you are 100% happy. It's amazing how much she cares. I've been going to Jen for 3 years and can honestly say I would follower her if she were to ever move to another salon. I make sure all my friends and family go to her (: Oh and I love my hair extensions! JEN is AMAZING! Wish i could give her more stars for my hair CUT. I walked in hoping for a Fo Hawk and I say hoping because the last place I went to when I asked for a Fo Hawk I left with a NO Hawk! Well let me tell you Jen cut the finest FoHawk I have ever had. She has a sparkling upbeat personality while cutting hair you can really tell she loves her work. Blu, of Salon 701, has been tending to my unruly hair for more than 5 years. She cuts meticulously, and I always get rave reviews from my friends. I have never had haircuts maintain their shape as long as haircuts by Blu last. That's her cutting skill! She also keeps me looking young with tasteful color, highlights, and lowlights. . Blu is my favorite hairdresser, she was BORN to cut hair and has never given me a bad cut and I always get compliments, I carry her card, but the whole salon treats me like family, if Blu was unable to cut my hair, I wouldn't be afraid to have another cut my hair, they're all good as far as I can see. read more

Monique is a skilled hair stylist and she is an educator at SCC, she knows her stuff! My long term…read morestylist moved away and I've been looking for a new place for a few years. Monique gave me really beautiful beigey blonde highlights. The color, placement, and multidimensional tone are all beautiful. Hair coloring is really expensive these days (anywhere you go), so I won't be doing it often, but I would recommend giving this salon a try if you need a change!
