I cannot recommend Corina and AU enough. Corina has been cutting hair for over 20 years, and it shows in every part of the experience. She specializes in curly hair (though she truly works beautifully with all hair types), and her technique is unlike anything I've experienced elsewhere. She uses a thoughtful, curl-respecting approach that prioritizes movement, shape, and how the hair actually lives day-to-day -- not just how it looks when you leave the chair. Every single time I leave this salon, I feel confident and like my best self. That's something I've never been able to say consistently about any other salon. Even when other stylists at AU have worked on my hair, the results are always excellent -- which speaks volumes about the overall standard and culture of the salon. The service is also incredible: shampoo, conditioning, intentional styling, and such a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere (plus the added bonus of a glass of wine). You never feel rushed, and you truly feel cared for. I actually found Corina years ago through a chance conversation when I worked at West Elm -- she came in as a client, we got to chatting, and I asked if the salon did men's cuts. I've been coming here ever since. Life got busy and I was away for a bit, but coming back reminded me why I won't go anywhere else. As a disabled person I highly recommend the Au Salon, not only for the accessibility, but for the care their hairstylist's take when providing service for their clients. The upmost regard was used when collaborating about what I wanted for my hair color, as well as all the extra accommodation I needed for my disability. I personally went to Emily and got a haircut a few months back, then decided to pull the trigger and have her color my hair. I could not be happier with how my hair turned out. I asked for a butterfly cut and a blowout and Corina delivered exactly that. No awkward moments, the music was 10/10.
