This salon is great! The staff is very friendly! I booked my first appointment with Leesii for a cut. (I get pretty nervous about trying new places, I rarely ever get my hair cut!) Leesii did exactly what i asked for! I left that place feeling great and I couldn't wait to show off my hair to family and friends. We scheduled our next appointment for color. I told her I wanted to do something fun. Something I've never done before. ... but I also told her I was afraid of bleaching my hair AND I can't go days without washing it. Director of frameworks/stylist was very RUDE, RACIST and didn't want to do what I wanted to get. She was very RACIST! Update 1/13/17: Went today for a hydroplex treatment with haircut and soooooo in love with my hair! Stephanie is my stylist and she is so gentle with my easily tangled hair! She knows what she's doing with cuts and color and does an amazing job! I had some more layers put in today and just cleaned up my split-ends. She also curled it for me and I almost died! This was my first visit to Framework, but I'll definitely be back. Marci is amazing: she listened and gave wonderful advice (I'm completely inept when it comes to my hair), and she seriously worked wonders. I really needed a new stylist so I went on Groupon and checked out some of the salons that had good deals. Up until now I honestly haven't had much luck with salons that I found on Groupon but my luck finally changed! It was eons since I had a good haircut and my dry, damaged hair showed it. When I got to the salon I was greeted right away and I was immediately impressed with the decor and layout. Whitney was my stylist and she was awesome. She gave me options and explained why she made different suggestions from the style of cut she thought would be most flattering to the product she recommended for me. Framework Salon is a concept created by the owners of the Paul Mitchell Salon off Arden. They bring in the best, brightest and up-and-coming to the salon, where they can work on their customer service skills as well as salon services. On several of my visits I saw some the lead instructors from the school working on clients; keeping their A game top notch. I came to find Framework Salon from IG. I started following@leesiloxx for several months before I made an appt. I am not a millennial but I am saavy enough to recognize talent with hair-color. I have been spoiled in the past with stylists who have left the Sacramento Area and are now working in NYC; who travel and teach others as well as in LA ,where their clients are A-listers (think Kardashians). So I needed to make sure that I was going to put my hair in the hands of someone who knew what they were doing. I like working with new talent, where passion shows in their work and it shows with Leesi. Over the course of 3-4 appts, I have had a root color touch up, a partial highlight, a haircut and a full highlight. Each time I arrived, she was ready and on time. Her station was clean and organized with all of the items she would need for the service. She spent a good 10 min with me on each visit to do a mini consultation on what our goals were for the day. What I like about Leesi; she compromises on what's what the client wants, but also what is best for the hair (going lighter and real expectations, etc). And she explains the "why" behind the steps (protects the hair etc). In addition, there was a great assistant (a new up-and-comer) named Thalia who has the BEST spirit, is a good listener and really wants to do well in this business. Lastly, because they are a Paul Mitchell Salon, they only have PM products. However, Leesi is great about using product on you and explaining what it does and how it will benefit your future hairstyles. And they have great deals on salon services every month!! NOTE: I can't say that all the stylists there do that as I have witness one in particular that just shoves products down each clients throat. Telling the client "I should be a senior stylist, but I am not so I don't have to charger the higher prices".I witness this first hand as I got a facial from this person and she talked about pricing and products the entire time!! It was not enjoyable at all. I won't get another facial there since she is the only one that does them. There is just a bad energy around that one. I have finally found a salon that I can call my own! The staff are so friendly and the salon is clean and well decorated. Jamie did my hair and it came out perfectly colored and soft. I previously went to another salon to try to get rid of my ombre and their dye didn't even stay in my hair after one wash. I was so happy after seeing my hair come out the way it did and Jamie made sure that this color will not fade nearly as fast and none of my old blonde will peak through. The pricing is pretty good for what you are getting and it really is in a nice location. This review is for Yvette. She is the best, sweetest, most diligent stylist I've known in my life. The first time I went to Framework, she worked on my hair for 3 hours, staying 2 hours even after the whole salon had closed just to give me due diligence and to make sure my hair was right. This was when Framework had just opened.... since then, I've been an instant loyal customer, because who else stays hours overtime just to do your hair?? Since then, she has made sure to pamper me every time I came back... even gave me a cute free ring once!! Lol! She also designed a cool haircut for my boyfriend we would have never tried otherwise. The service here has been impeccable. I tell everyone I know about this salon because I think their dedication to customer service shows and that's all I need in my book. Working for 9 days straight and getting called off on the 10th day of work can lead someone to make decisions that they may regret later on. That's how my day started. I called the salon when they opened and they were able to take me in 30 minutes later. I was excited, but did t really have a concrete plan in mind. Got into the salon and it was beautiful in there. Gorgeous. Modern, bright - Just beautiful. Yvette was my stylist and she talked me through the entire process and what to expect. We went through two rounds because I decided on whom to go lighter after seeing how it looked like after toning it the first time. She was such a sport and dealt with my hot mess. Also, everyone was so friendly and sweet. After almost 3ish hours, I was done and very happy with the result. I plan on coming back soon to get it blonde all the way. Can't wait! Thanks again. So, 2 completely different ages yet we were both so happy! Jamie did an excellent job with coloring my hair. I have gotten so many compliments. Alright ya'll, Jamie is literally a hair GENIUS. I'm blonde, and I can honestly say that I have never had anyone do my hair like Jamie has. I have to admit, I used to be a salon hopper... After seeing all the fantastic reviews i decided to give this place a try a couple months ago. I asked the girl (not giving names) to take 2 inches off and I want my layers shorter. She automatically cut 2 inches off and then washed my hair. She blow dried it and then straightened it. I should have told her to stop there. She then proceeded to dry cut it. She chopped my bangs too far back to my ears and started "layering" from there. At the end i told her she didn't have to style it but she insisted. She curled the ends with straightening iron. I felt like i was 15 again letting a friend do my hair for a high school dance in 2005. The whole process took 2.5 hours! Then i waited about 20 more minutes because the receptionist had to make her sales with the other customer in front of me. I kept looking in the mirror and wanted to cry. I looked like i had a $50 wig on and i just couldn't fix it. The receptionist knew i was annoyed and when she finally finished, she kept trying to make awkward conversation. She even asked if i wanted to tip the stylist. Would she tip the stylist if her hair looked like mine? Hell no. I waited a week hoping it would grow back or maybe i could just style it differently. I couldn't take it anymore. I called and complained. They were very nice about it and had me come in so one of the managers could fix it. She apologized numerous times and did her best to fix it. She even looked confused and told me there were no layers. She did an amazing job with what she was given, i even hugged her. I wish i could have had a good experience the first time, not the second. I have anxiety about getting my hair cut because of things like this. My layers are looking nice. Im patiently waiting for the length to grow out. Would i come back? Definitely not. I called last minute too chop off my hair, this was the last and 3rd salon that I called to see if I should chop off my hair or not. Luckily it was meant to be because the receptionist was able to find an available hair stylist. I wish I could've remembered her name, but she was so friendly and welcoming. Coming to the salon , the decor and aura was so upbeat. Jamie who had chopped off all of my locks, was super sweet, talkative, and friendly! I love her! She was very understanding to my last minute call. I understand hair salons or any business can be very busy, so I appreciated her taking me in so last minute. The haircut, I didn't have any original plan to how I wanted it styled, I just wanted it chopped. Jamie gave me some options that she thought would be good, and I was glad to have trusted her. Great judgement! In past events, when chopping my hair, I later usually end up missing my long hair, but not this time. Jamie definitely influenced me on keeping my hair short, thanks to her great work. I explained to her why I was cutting my hair, wanted to change my health and workout lifestyle, and with her work, she made me feel even more sexy and confident! Two days later... called too see if there were any openings or last minute cancelations to get my hair dyed. I asked to see if Jamie was available and it seemed that one of her appointments hadn't shown so she was probably able to dye my hair, or there was another hairstylist that would be able too also. Either way, I was able to get my hair done, much appreciated! Jamie ended up dyeing my hair and of course it turned out fabulous! I originally had my hair grey from past events but Jamie influenced me to do green since I've never done bright colors before. She mentioned that maybe I should mix a blue and green to counteract the orangey, yellow tone that I had in my hair, when she touched up my roots. I was A Okay with that! Jamie's appointment had ended up showing late and still managed to not rush both of us through the process. Every step Jamie does, she thoroughly explains what is being done or what is going to be done, and to why she believes this is or that is the best route. I also appreciated how Jamie didn't try to upsale me. She just told me the three steps that would most likely be at this price, and if we didn't need this one step, then we didn't need to do it. Straight to the point is how it should be , thus she did! Thank you Jamie and other employees. You ladies are so friendly and are the definition of teamwork!
