HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. BUYER BEWARE!!! One of the wheels of our Roomba stopped working. Got charged $130 for supposedly inspecting the unit, weeks went by. Called and called, no answer. Went to the location twice, sign on the door said back in 30. Waited an hour then called and when I finally got an answer guy said "I won't be back today, I left you a VM indicating that the mother board needs replacing. It's too expensive." Not true, not a single attempt at communicating with me was made, even tho they had my phone and email on record. I asked for a formal estimate of the cost of parts and repairs so I could be the one to decide if its too expensive to repair or not. Another week went by, radio silence. I've had it, so decided to go get the unit back. It took 2 more visits to the store to be able to get my Roomba back, as they are never there. Finally, I got my Roomba back after 2 months and minus $130 on my pocket, and was never able to even get an estimate on the repairs. When I got home I went to work on the unit to remove the mother board and order a new one. Guess what? All the factory seals were still in place. This means that the unit was never even opened to check what was wrong with it!!! This is a SCAM, they charge you to "look" at it saying that the cost will be deducted from the repairs. Then tell you it's too expensive without ever giving you an actual cost, in hopes that you will leave the unit behind. They then fix it for nothing and resell it. Don't fall for this, it's ridiculous. The person who attended me was so rude and unprofessional that I won't even bother to go back and try to get my money to avoid another unpleasant encounter. If I could leave negative stars.I would. BEWARE! Think more than twice. Total SCAM!My experience is much like the other review. We have had a Rug Doctor that my hubs purchased used from home depot probably 5 years ago. Beginning of the year I the upholstery attachment stopped working. Is it the attachment or is something wrong with the pump/machine itself? Looked online for an 'authorized' Rug Doctor repair dealer. This place came up. Took it down there on February 24th 2024. $150 for the diagnostic fee. Non-refundable. OK. let's see what is wrong with it. It's worth fixing. He called me on March 14th saying I just need new upholstery tool...I asked if it would be the same as the original and he said it would. I will explaIN 'WHY' THIS MATTERS, in a minute. He required payment over the phone to order this new hose assembly. $160. So I am now $310 into this. I asked how long it might be and he said about a week. I didn't hear from him and I didn't hear from him.. nothing.....for a month. then when I finally reached him to inquire about my Rug Doctor. he says that 'the guy is installing the new pump today'. Wait. What? New pump? Okaaaaaay (????). When will it be ready? 'Tomorrow'. He goes on to say how he has been trying to reach me.which is a lie. One: I'm usually home and 2) I have an answering machine. (but 'whatever!) So my neighbor takes me down there to get it a couple days later. It's APRIL. the dude had it for OVER A MONTH before I got it back! I go to retrieve it. The guy wheels out my Rug Doctor and hands me a SEALED BOX containing the new hose assembly. Odd. But the guy is a bit 'off'....he made me uncomfortable and I felt rushed by him to get out of the place.I had taken my original hose down with the machine. I told him in an email I wanted that back. He did give that back. So I go home. I open this box he gave me. No. It IS NOT like the original part. You can purchase these 'universal hose assemblies' off the internet for as little as $60. I could have done that MYSELF! But that's not all.it was still all sealed up, all the zip ties were still on it and everything. these types of people make my brain explode. My receipt states 'Universal upholstery tool and tested install' But this was printed out by the guy when I paid for it over the phone. Dates 'matter'...especially if things go wrong/sideways. Tested ? How is that? Ok. Well, perhaps they have one at the shop that they just hooked up to it and it worked. I mean, this was supposedly diagnosed as being the problem. April. that was like the second week of April. I've had some 'major life events' take place in my life over the past 6 months. Haven't had the time nor the mind to be messing with the carpet cleaning. Until today. Today is July 3rd. Used the main part of the machine on almost my entire house yesterday and today. Went to do the stairs.. Need new upholstery attachment . Clip the zip ties to free the hose and I hook it up. Turn on machine to do the stairs... FAIL. NO WATER! It 'sucks' but it will not dispense water. Same issue as I had going on when i looked for a place to assess what is wrong and perform the repair. Obviously this guy DID NOT ACCESS/DIAGNOSE what was wrong and just ASSUMED it was the hose assembly. And obviously HE DID NOT TEST the unit to see if a new hose assembly was all that it actually needed. I paid $150 for diagnosis that was NOT PERFORMED and $160 for a part that DID NOT resolve the problem because it is NOT the problem. So $310 for NOTHING!!!!! nothing but a universal upholstery tool I didn't/don't need. I honestly do not know how people such as this guy can walk around feeling good about themselves. Ripping off good decent people who are seeking help....and paying hard earned money for it. $310 is alot to shell out for 'nothing'. I am just 'BLOWN'. The world is going to complete...well.you know.and it is all on people like 'this guy'... I hope 'karma' is a real thing..... read more

I just had my G4 Kirby tuned-up by the owner, Jacques, at Virtuous Wares. Not only was he professional, but was also very pleasant to work with. He mentioned that he had been working with Kirby for 35+ years, so he is very knowledgeable about all Kirby products. He spent time taking my Kirby apart while I was there to show me what needed replacing and what didn't. I truly felt that he had my best interest in mind and wasn't trying to sell me something I didn't need. He turned around the job quickly and had it ready by the next day. I would give 10 stars if it were an option. I purchased my Kirby in 1994, it has been a great piece to have. Just recently it died, I took it to Virtuous Wares and Jacques is absolutely phenomenal! Very knowledgeable and through. He took the time to show me everything that would be replaced, cleaned, repaired, etc. with the rebuild of my Kirby. The drive to his store from my home is 50 miles ONE WAY, and I would absolutely do it again, if need be-I am that satisfied with the service he provides. I recommend Virtuous Wares 10 times over.
