I know everyone hates having a plumbing emergency.  I have bad experiences with plumbing companies doing sub-par work and charging expensive fees for call out (Steven's Plumbing, Allens Plumbing,  and A-1 Plumbing). Joe and Ben at Virtues Plumbing are spectacular. Quick response, reasonable prices, and they are professional and friendly. They have basic projects such as: replace vaule, leak detection,  toilet internal replacement, and more. I highly recommend Virtues Plumbing LLC (Martin, Darrell, and Dayton) for any plumbing work because they are truly honest, highly skilled, and live up to their 3 V's (Vision, Value, & Virtues). As a retired consulting and government civil engineer, I perform job estimates (time, material, & fair profit), performance inspections, and negotiate with federal, state, & county governments and contractors. So I'm very critical of plumbers who try to take advantage of customers. Summary: I'm very happy with & trust Virtues Plumbing. When I call Virtues Plumbing on Friday to replace my 1963 Kohler toilet with a new Toto toilet, they responded immediately and gave me an estimate showing labor/material breakdown. Their price was very fair and unlike many other plumbing companies that inflate their prices. To my surprise, Virtues Plumbing immediately scheduled me for Monday and even picked up the new toilet as part of their service. Importantly, Virtues Plumbing uses quality plumbing parts and not the cheaper stuff. Darrell & Dayton were very friendly, explained what they were doing, and showed concern that I liked their work. Further, they performed their tasks quickly/skillfully and didn't make a mess. They even cleaned up my 2 toilet areas after completing their job. We called for a plumber a day ago and they were able to come in and help us out with our issues the day after. Our plumber chase was a great help. He took the time to check and make sure everything was working on order. And told me specifically what was going on with our toilet/plumbing that's affecting what needed to be changed. He was in for maybe an hour and a half max and within that short time was able to fix and figure out exactly what happened. Had 3 repairs that needed to be addressed - leaking bathroom faucet - leaking shower faucet - and a toilet shutoff valve that no longer actually shutoff the flow of water. 1. Called and got an immediate response - appointment was scheduled to have the job assessed for the same day!!! 2. Assessment went as scheduled - price was reasonable and the assessor explained what needed to be done and explained the cost of each repair. 3. Scheduled actual repair job - and the VP employees showed up on time - did a great great job - and the price charged was right in the range of the price assessed. I'm no plumber by any means, so when I called and spoke to Martin about questions if my water line and toilet would need to be repaired or replaced in it's current state, he went over the options I could do. Upon further discussion, he entailed that they weren't entirely necessary to do at that time, but could do so if I choose in the near future. I was a bit apprehensive but he reassured me after the pictures I sent that changing them out wasn't necessary at this time. I spoke to him for a long time and he did not even charge me. "Too Legit to Quit- the Real Deal" The A team- these guys are keepers" There are good plumbers, there are great plumbers and then there are the rarified super great plumbers. Companies that excel in all facets of their business. We've had pretty good luck over the years with plumbers. For many years, the plumbers would give vague estimates which might be spot on or way off. Sometimes the job would require more work, hence the higher charge. Most customers are ok with that as long as it's explained. Many times that is not the case. Through word of mouth and Yelp we discovered Virtues Plumbing. We needed to have some work done in one of our bathrooms and also outside, including relocating a water shut-off valve. These guys were great! They came out to determine what needed to be done, gave an estimate and gave recommendations on how we could accomplish something on our own without involving their services. Whenever there was a potential deviation, they would ask us how we would like to proceed. Their recommendations saved us some money which is always nice. Because of problems with some other fixtures we had bought, we had to return some stuff and get replacements. They followed up to help us get the installation done correctly above and beyond what was required. Like I said, there are good plumbers, there are great plumbers. They are the best! I had a slow drain and made an appointment to have them come and snake my drain. The gentlemen were prompt and accommodating. The drain is very old and difficult. And they used a tiny camera and found a bottle top down the drain! They were some how able to pull that out and the hair that was clogging it up as well. They were so careful and super professional. Joe from Virtues Plumbing was very professional and was able to identify a leak in the shower of 1 of 4 units that was contributing to a septic tank becoming overflowed. He was able to address the issue by finding that the water pressure was too high and able to find the leak in the shower. He installed a pressure regulator to the main water piper to the 4 plex and was able to fix the leak in the shower. Martin is the best. We manage over 600 properties and we always need a good plumber. The trouble is the good ones always get busy and we have to find new ones. I hope that doesn't happen with Virtues Plumbing because they are one of the most reliable plumbers we have worked with. Estimates are reasonable and there's no surprises on the invoices. It's really hard to trust plumbers as some of them will give you a quote and then the invoice is a lot more or they will give you a good price on the first job and we notice that they charge a lot more on the next jobs. I've never gotten that with Martin and he does the job faster than any of the vendors we have used in the past!
