**Update posted at the end**…read more I am not a patient of NovaCare but my husband is...or was, until this happened. To start, my husband was injured at work and referred to NovaCare for a spinal and shoulder injury. He had always kept his appointments with the exception of one or two because he was in so much pain and couldn't fathom the thought of being "worked on". He was due to have surgery on May 15th. Prior to this he went to NovaCare for one of his appointments and learned they would not treat him because it appeared he had pink eye. (the surgery ultimately was also cancelled for this reason). That was the ONLY time they have ever turned him away from an appointment. He was ordered right after the accident not to drive. Therefore, I have driven him to all his appts. After the very first appt, he came out smelling of "alcohol". I said something like, "oh God, what's that smell??" We could only conclude it was the hand sanitizer he used as soon as he walked in the building....THEIR hand sanitizer. With the pink eye cleared up, he set up more physical therapy appointments while he waited for his new surgery date. Then his lawyer called and notified him, that he received a letter from workers comp insurance, that per NovaCare my husband often came to therapy smelling of alcohol and "acting drunk". The letter went on to say that he had been turned away from several appointments because of this and if this behavior continued, it would affect his workers comp claim. My husband and I are two weeks shy or our 31st wedding anniversary. In this time, I have seen him drink maybe twice. The last time being when our daughter graduated in 2013. Alcohol does not sit well with him and he suffers excruciating migraines with even a small amount. As I witnessed years ago and has always been known. There's no question if he'll drink. It's always an astounding, NO. I, at this time, without thinking too hard, can contact 20 people that have known him for a decade or more and can vouch that he NEVER drinks. This claim is not only untrue but it is defamatory and hurtful. This is in his charts, medical records, and now, who knows, may impede the outcome of his workers comp claim. I think everyone needs to be aware they are engaging in this practice of making up untruths about people. Who knows what else they've said about anyone else. And who knows why they're doing this. Its sickening. I can't imagine hearing these claims about myself knowing there is absolutely no truth to them. He has canceled all the appts that he set up earlier this week and will never go back. He does not recommend this business to anyone. Beware. ***Update- I posted this review on several forums, including, but not limited to, Google and Yelp. Not until this morning did I post it on NovaCare's Facebook page. Not long after the Facebook review a manager or supervisor (my husband did not get her title) called to speak to my husband. She, in a round about way, without taking full responsibility, apologized and said it was a miscommunication. She went on to say that the claim that was made was that my husband had a faint smell of alcohol on him. She insisted all other statements were exaggerated by the insurance adjuster handling his workers comp claim. She agreed that the hand sanitizer they used at all NovaCare locations does have a faint (or strong, depending on who is being asked) alcohol smell. My husband would also like everyone to be aware of the poor practices exhibited during his treatments. Practices that include the following- two therapists leaving my husband lying there in between exercises while they massaged each other. One therapists smelling "like a brewery", as if she had been out drinking all night before reporting to work. He also witnessed therapists sitting around while he was doing an exercise, talking about other patients. Including private information. The bottom line is, unless you want to be labeled an alcoholic, do not use their hand sanitizer. If you don't mind being a bystander to gossip, or being ignored while they massage each other, you may not mind going here.

In August 2022 I fell from a porch and dislocated my right shoulder, I thought that was it. I did…read moredislocate it, but also broke the coracoid process as well, super small bone that is a critical anchor for several tendons and ligaments. I also had a radial fracture in my right arm. I started PT about 1 1/2 months after my accident at NovaCare Medford, and this was the BEST decision I could've made. I have never left there in more pain than I walked in. I have had PT for other reasons in the past, but I have been shocked at my progress to be honest. My doctor has told me with very hard work I may possibly get back to about 70% range of motion after a year of PT. The staff at NovaCare have paid attention to everything I have said, but more importantly, how I look EVERY SINGLE time I am there. If they see a small wince (I thought I was hiding it) they ask me which part of the exercise is uncomfortable and they ALWAYS go to the EXACT spot that is giving me an issue and with some pressure/manipulation/stretch/traction I feel immediate relief. Some days I walk out and on the way to my car I lift my arm up in different motions and am amazed that I can do it. My doctor is astounded at my recovery due to the severity of my injuries, I am at 100% range of motion 6-7 month after my accident! Oh, the BEST part...I was having severe numbness and pain in my hand and arm so was also doing OT at NovaCare Medford. Both the OT and PTs said they didn't think it was my hand, arm or shoulder, but my neck. Not gonna lie, that had me confused. They convinced me to mention it to my shoulder doctor who set me up with a head/neck specialist in his office. Turns out I fractured my C5 in my accident. They knew it was related to my neck, but I wasn't having any neck issues, confusing right?! They gave me some exercises and now I have slight numbness once in awhile, and when that starts to happens, my fabulous PT team has given me ways to alleviate that as well! Did I mention I'm 53, overweight and out of shape to top it all off. Imagine not being able to use your dominant hand, arm or shoulder in any way. How do you wash your hair? Get on clothes, let alone a BRA? I could move my arm, MAYBE a couple of inches, if I was having a great day, from my body. How do you eat? Write? Type? The PTs at NovaCare Medford asked me about my job and what I do there. The exercises they implemented in my therapy were designed to help me with everyday functions as well as helping me with work. I will never be able to say thank you enough for the time, dedication and care I have received from every staff member at NovaCare Medford, but I'll try. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

Although, I first visited and stayed with Dr. Cohen for that time, he has recently fallen off the deep end in terms of his professionalism and treatment of his patients and employees alike. He was a great doctor who actually cared up until recently. He's become painfully lethargic and lackadaisical with his service. I have painful callous' that grow every couple weeks, which make walking/standing very painful. He uses a scalpel blade to cut them off. Today, the scalpel blade fell into the trash can somehow, and he laughed it off and said "hey, you're done! ha ha ha". I could still feel discomfort in the bottom of my foot, so I asked him if he could grab another blade and finish, to which he responded, "Ha ha, you're done bud. See you next time." I was taken aback, because 1.) I'm an amputee and walking is already difficult without painful callous' growing 2.) I've known you a long time, and we've built a rapport where I feel like he should've cared just a tiny bit(?) 3.) I don't use insurance, I pay cash every time 4.) I work everyday because I own a business, so my time is valuable, and I don't have time to make a quick trip back. He then pulled the blade out of the trashcan because he didn't have another one in the office! I asked him why he didn't grab another blade to which he responded, "DUDE I'M JEWISH." Seriously? I pay this man $50 for a 10 min service, and he can't have an extra blade laying around just in case? He then pulled the blade out of the trashcan and "sterilized" it with alcohol. and then proceeded to finish my foot... On top of all this, his behavior and comments about his female patients and interns have been disturbing. He makes extremely sexual comments about them and discusses it with his PATIENTS and staff there. They all partake in this charade of which female is hottest and which one they'd f**k. They even asked me if I would f**k that "nice piece of ass"(in regards to patients AND interns they'd newly hired). It's also concerning that the healthcare "professionals" there turn a blind-eye to this type of behavior and enable him. If you're a woman, then I'd rethink or reconsider, unless you want to be added to their queue of women they'd all like to take turns sleeping with. Now you're probably wondering why I'd stayed if I'd known this. Well, he actually hasn't been my doctor for the last 3 or 4 years. I only came to see Dr. Wendy(who recently left his practice to start her own in King of Prussia). I never saw him, and only tolerated him because she was caring for me. She actually cared and took the time to make sure that my foot was completely fine before I'd left. Now that she's gone and this experience has happened, I've decided to leave for good and drive to King of Prussia to see Dr. Wendy. Patients beware.

Great experienced group of doctors and wonderful caring staff. They know how to fix feet and much…read moremore. Five Stars plus.
