This will be my 3rd visit in about 10 years. My previous doctor is not longer working here so I saw…read moresomeone new. I came in with loss of function of hip flexor. After an urgent care visit + ER visit, I ended up in Ortho. I am very sad to have to write that this was not only my worst doctors visit ever, but my most distressful! I came in with severe pain (much worse than the pain I had when I was diagnosed with leukemia & got my bone marrow biopsy) and had already had 2 doctors rule out my back as the issue. As soon as Dr Brown walked in he said "your back is shot" before I even spoke. He had zero interest in hearing all of my symptoms. The exam I received in the ER was 10 more extensive as the exam Dr Brown gave me. He had his hands on me for less than 60 seconds. He did not care to see that I had full range of lotion laterally and in extension and just not in flexion. He did not ask about my pain level. He did not see the actual MRI films, only radiologist write up. It was clear that since I was not a candidate for hip replacement he had no interest in me. I started crying because he told me to seek out a spinal surgeon and to see pain management for a shot in my back. I asked more questions, tried again to give him the full picture of what had been going on for the past 5 days and he interrupted me twice. I finally gave up. The entire visit was less than 5 minutes. I asked for hip MRI and he said "why would I do that". I broke down at the check out desk. The lady at the front, Jacqulein, was amazingly kind and compassionate (I brought her flowers 2 days later). Once I stopped crying, I spoke to the manager and told him I was leaving in more emotional, mental and physical distress than when I went in. They let me leave, barely able to walk and in intolerable pain! Within 48 hours I have had 2 more ortho docs and a doc of PT rule out my back, which I already knew! A steroid treatment took away most of my pain and gave me back some function. Waiting on more tests and though it is clear this is a femur bone and hip issue. And to think Dr Brown wanted me to have spinal surgery and pain management for my back via injection. I am still in shock around how little concern Dr Brown had for my health and well being. This visit was truly traumatic and I left feeling dehumanized and degraded. I was treated like a child, and actually I would hope no child would be treated like this either. I do not know how another human could see me, my lack of function and mobility + my pain level, and treat me how I was treated, much less someone who's job is to provide me with healthcare and compassion. He had his mind made up about my case before he even spoke to me. I would not wish this on anyone I hope this review makes it to the correct people who can help him learn to interact with people and listen to patients.

Kepler didn't give crap if I was still having problems and I am worse since my surgery!! think he did the wrong surgery to be honest with you I'm trying to manage my life and trying to the best that I can for myself and Dr. Harrer was the only one who gave me some relief with a great personality.
