Dr Mark Testaiuti is my doctor here. I went to him regarding my back and leg. After seeing xrays and cat scan of my back, he did not like the surgery needed to fix me due to my health issues. So he sent me to Dr Bhavi Patel for invasive pain management. After two epidural injections in my back and a nerve block in my calf, my pain has subsided tremendously. I will say minimal 70%-80% relief. Dr Testaiuti's reviews and then more reviews of my case and then his recommendations made it an easier decision for me. I went to Coastal Spine for a second opinion my first doctor wanted to do a fusion in my neck. I asked about disc replacement, he would say fusion. I said I did not want one if I could avoid it. I was recommended Coastal Spine and Dr. T. After my first visit with Dr. T I knew he was my guy. Whatever he told me would be the best option for me. I was able to get a 2 level disc replacement. I woke up from surgery feeling amazing. I waited to have surgery, my recommendation is go see Dr. T and do not hold off on the surgery. He tells like it is and he is going to do what is the best for you. Dr. T is not about doing unnecessary surgery or doing the surgery just for the money. Costal spine was a horrible experience for me.Dr Deuch fused my spine and 1 year later I'm in as much disabling pain if not worse than in the beginning. I will not go back there anymore. Refused to give script for pain because he can't bleed my insurance anymore and I won't go back to them. It's all about the money. Not the pain I'm in. Unfortunately I was sent to Dr. William Mitchell for a neck exam. Even though I was the only patient at the time, I waited almost 3 hours to see Dr. Mitchell. He was extremely rude and arrogant from the moment I met him for no reason at all. Instead of inquiring about my neck issues and symptoms, Dr. Mitchell was more interested in my entire work history. He continually twisted my words around and when I tried to correct him, he immediately went into a childish tantrum and threatened to refuse to complete my exam. I made the mistake of asking him a simple question which made him even more irrate. Finally he proceeded to give me a neck exam that lasted less than 5 minutes and he guaranteed me there was no physical issue with my neck and I would not require any treatment nor diagnostic testing. Fortunately, I was sent for a 2nd opinion to another neurosurgeon who gave me an actual physical exam to my neck. I was then sent for a CT Scan & Myleogram which showed extensive damage to my neck and will require extensive treatment and most likely surgery. I wish I had seen some of his reviews before my appointment as they are all terrible. At least I would have known this was going to be a complete waste of time and I would be treated so rudely and unprofessionally. It is obvious that Dr. Mitchell is only interested in his paycheck from the insurance companies rather than treat patients honestly, professionally and ethically. If you have a choice in selecting a spine & neck specialist or neurosurgeon, you will be better off with anyone else. read more

Workman's comp doctor Larry duestch and staff are unreliable and all about the insurance money. They tell you one thing in your appointment then submit notes to adjusters reflecting completely different statements and diagnosis. No sympathy for patient or situation all you are is just another $ to them. Had to hire attorney just to ensure reports were submitted in timely manner and in hopes my best interest would be the main focus however that seems not to be the case. Was talked into surgery for 2 cervical disc herniations. 9 months post surgery and I have more lingering and substantial issues since before surgery, was released from care with permanent 35 lb weight restriction because insurance company instructed doctor to do so and he rolled over like instructed. During course of care for the last year I have lost my full time job as a mechanic due to not time table for return, my injury sustained as a VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTER has forced me to be unemployed with a permanent 35 lb weight restriction and no possibility to find another job with ongoing post surgery issues that doctor continues to glance over in appointments. Would not recommend in anyway to even my worst enemy. My mom has a coworker who had one disc herniation in identical spot with identical issues, she went to good doctor and had similar surgery and two weeks later is back to normal. Do not trust a doctor who owns a share in the surgical center your being sliced up in and that should have been my first giveaway having to sign a paper acknowledging his part ownership in the surgical center. Unfortunately I had no choice in the matter since I was following my work comp "doctor" and adjusters instructions. Could not be more disappointed in the situation I've been put in and the people that forced my hand to this point. read more

Coastal Spine was recommended to me by my Chiropractor. The problem I think is my Chiro is only familiar with the Doctor Kam Momi (one of Coastal Spine's surgeons) who he truly respects and considers the best. The problem wasn't Dr. Kam, it is Coastal Spine. I lost count after 6-10 times when I spoke to their office. Mostly about questions concerning whether my ins. co. would be paying for the recommended surgery. Every time their office would tell me they would call me back with an answer they almost (when I say almost, I mean maybe once or twice they did) never did. Dr. Kam may be a very good surgeon but I have ABSOLUTELY NO CONFIDENCE in their office personal and doubt their care for me would be any better with this experience. With all the problems with how a business or health institution is run can affect the care along with the confidence one should expect. Coastal Spine gave me nothing but false hope for the care I was looking for not to mention no confidence with how they would be caring for me. This is just my opinion but I got the feeling when I was in their facility in Mt. Laurel, NJ, that this was a Spine Fixing Factory and not a Care Center. PS: I have issues with 8 of my disk from cervical spine to my lumbar spine and this is a serious situation for me. Not something I need or should have to deal with INCOMPETENT office personal. Although I would give the neurosurgeon, Dr. Testaiuti, a 5 star rating, I have been going to a partner there, Dr. Jarmain. Today, 1 1/2 hrs after my appt time, I was told he went to pick up his kids, and would not be back for at least another 20 min. He has shown little compassion, beyond our first visit nearly a year ago. As a previous medical professional myself, I found today outrageous, and walked out, voicing my extreme displeasure. His actions were highly unprofessional, as I disabled, was left sitting there until I finally questioned where he was. He gets a zero. read more

After a really bad accident I went to see dr. Kam Momi who operated on me and did an anterior posterior Fusion he used Infuse which has been known to cause cancer blindness diabetes liver disease etc etc he performed unnecessary surgery on me as well as botched the surgery! he lied to me as well as not disclosed information that left me impotent by having his vascular surgeon cut a nerve in me without even asking my permission or informing me of the side effects because of this animal I have had a total of 5 surgeries which by the way after a doctor ruins the first surgery the chances of any success have gone down by 50% if there's anyone who's going to this animal please do not let him touch you!!!! he is a butcher !!!he has ruined my life!!!! I must say I am shocked to see a bad review on the New Patient coordinator, Amy. I was referred to Coastal Spine by a few colleagues and my family doctor. When I first called I was transferred to Amy by the receptionist. Amy was extremely professional and helpful. After having her explain to me the way my insurance would be billed, she told me she'd have to call me back after she called my insurance company just to confirm my information. She gave me a heads up that she had a few other calls to make for other patients but as she promised she called me back and within an hour or so. She also sent out my new patient paperwork to me in enough time before I had my appointment at Coastal Spine.
