I got my nails done yesterday and they are already chipping today. The pointer chipped about an hour after I got it done when I was shopping at Costco. I went back and they fixed it but it just started chipping again today and same with my thumb nail. I've never had nails chip so quickly with gel before. I've gotten my nails done here before and I thought they did a great job then. I'm not really sure what is causing the chipping this time around. Yee, my girl, was personable, hilarious, and attentive while reviving my sad, boyish nails back to their fierce feminine glory. I wanted to match my toe color, but it's a very distinctive cornflower blue and i was having trouble finding a good match. Yee helped me search through countless numbers of dip swatches to find the perfect color, genuinely caring about my concerns. I wasn't sure what shape to choose so she used her expertise to find the perfect shape for my nails and it was a newer shape on the market to keep me looking fresh. I can't wait to go back to Yee and get something super fun because I know she can crush any artistic vision. I asked for an acrylic fill... which starts at $25. I got an ombré pink/white fill and my bill was $50. The lady could not explain to me how my price doubled. I've been getting my nails done for over 20 years. I understand the uncharges, I expected to pay for the ombré. I didn't expect it to double the price of the fill. My nails have so many things wrong. They are uneven in the painting. The daisies are messy, I didn't get my cuticles pushed back, bottom of the nails aren't formed to match my nail shape. I have had better done for much less back in Lincoln. I am extremely disappointed as this was a reward to myself and I didn't get what I wanted. I also had someone highly recommend this place. Was able to call the day before and make an appointment for a gel mani/pedi. Sonia was my nail technician for both, and I couldn't speak more highly of her! She was incredibly kind and personable, and also checked-in with me many times to make sure I was liking everything she was doing. The vibe at the salon was fun and lively. $80 for gel mani/pedi with a small design on my hands, which is more than reasonable. They also have a "happy hour" where you can get $10 off a pedicure service of $50 or more. Will definitely be recommending this place for friends in Omaha. Went in for a fill. Oval shaped with curved French tip. Right off she was like $75 and I'm like okay whatever (even though that's a full set price). Then she made my French tip straight on a curved nail and I said I want the French tip curved and she said that's an extra $10. So basically $85 just for a fill? After looking at their website pricing, I noticed they overcharged me... by a lot. I was charged $160 for a plain dip set (no designs or extra length) and an acrylic fill (French tips mind you but not extra long long or intricate designs) I used to go here quite often, but the salon has gone down hill and is just filthy. My daughter had an appointment and after we waited for 15 minutes another customer told us they had a lot of walk in they were catering to. One of the employees kept asking us our name and phone number as they rummaged through their appointment book. After waiting 45 minutes they finally took my daughter back to have her nails done. At this point we would have left but we kept thinking it couldn't be too much longer. 2 hours after we our scheduled appointment they were finished. I asked if they could compensate the price and was told no. Never given an apology, didn't ask if we needed a beverage (most places do). Instead we were treated as if it was our fault. Getting nails done is a treat in my family and my daughter and I left upset and can't enjoy her nails because of the experience we had. I'm telling everyone I know there are far better places, better prices and better service then Virgo Nails...they get a -5 star rating from me. read more

While the staff is nice. I would not recommend this establishment for acrylic nails. I have never seen a place that doesn't properly clean nails before placing the acrylic on. I still show my red nail polish I had before. The paint job was also very shoddy. I got these done on Saturday 4/28 and going to martini nails to get them fixed. Not to mention the shaping, the almond is so off and clumpy. I was a bit tired when I got them done so it's taken me some time to see just how horrible this nail job was. read more

Middle of the road - been here three or four times and it's okay. I always have an appointment and have been able to get right in upon arrival. Employees all wear masks and there is a plexiglass shield dividing all the nail techs from the customers. I'm pretty simple as I mostly do shellac and nothing too fancy. I did have a great nail technician on one visit that performed a wonderful pedicure and my shellac manicure lasted over five weeks. I only had to get my nails redone because they had grown out. Unfortunately, the next time I went in, that particular employee no longer worked there but I was still happy with my end result. Instruments seem to all be clean but it could probably use a more thorough scrubbing on baseboards and other surfaces. The walls are all white and could benefit from some color or art to jazz things up a bit. Music plays but on several visits, it's been shut off a good 30-60 minutes before closing so sometimes you're sitting in silence which isn't too inviting. Overall, prices are decent and since I'm not trying to create the next big piece of artwork on my nails, I'll continue going here for the time being. read more

I unfortunately chose Virgo as the salon to have my wedding nails done at. I booked an appointment for an acrylic fill and pedicure and few days before my wedding. First off, I was sat for my pedicure, about five minutes in they pulled the tech working on me for a different appointment. I then sat for an additional fifteen waiting for a different tech to finish up. The nail polish was smudged, but I'll get back to that. I then sat down for my fill, the tech working on my nails was constantly stopping to chat with her co-workers and take personal phone calls, she even said that she did not want to be there. Her work was incredibly sloppy and was far from what I asked for. No base coat, nail polish did not cover my entire finger nail, lowest effort possible on the design I had asked for. When we were done with the fill, I noticed that my toes were smudged and asked them to be fixed before I left the salon- she quickly filled them in with polish, which only made them look worse. Finally I paid and left the salon in tears, $100 later for absolute trash. My husband called the salon and sat up an appointment to get them fixed with the owner the next day. I will say she did a good job fixing the polish problems on both my toes and fingers. Less than a week later my nails started popping off, some just half the nail, some the whole nail. These are acrylics, I have had acrylics for years, and have never had this happen. All in all, I would highly recommend staying as far away from this salon as possible. Truly an overall disappointing experience. There are much better salons that charge a lot cheaper than Virgo and I promise you'll get better quality at literally almost any other nail salon in the Omaha metro than this one. read more

I've been a couple of times now. Without an appointment it's taken me about 15-20 minutes to get in. I get the the Gel dipped nails and they last me about 3 weeks after getting them done here vs. a week or two from other places. Yee the boss lady is wonderful. Always has a smile on her face, very accommodating to the customers and seems to be very kind to her staff. When I arrived, I was told my wait was 40 minutes. Aside from that, my gel manicure is chipping on 2 nails after only 5 days. Virgo nails is a combination of poor quality, no integrity and incompetence. Bamboo Nails is right down the street. They do a nice job and keep appointment times. I have been going to Virgo Nails since I was 17 years old and I'm 23 years old now. I went with my mother and both of the shared companies. I've always been nice and even tip when some people didn't deserve a tip. I get it I'm just another customer complaining, but this place meant something to me something I shared with my mother. Today is the day I'm done going to Virgo Nail and True Nails. I'm not going to make it personal but a lot of communication skills are not being matched in this company and it's not fair and it's very rude when you're asking a question when I was on the phone to make an appointment the woman I spoke to on the phone she was calling her boss while I was still on the line. If I'm not talking to someone with non- proper communication skills. They make me feel like why did I even call? I can't be the reason why someone is having a bad day nor whatever the case but that is not the way to talk to a customer. I understand well in customer service and you can't act like you're mad that's not inviting at all so I'm making a stand today and leaving Virgo Nails and True Nails. I use to love going now it's a chore just makes me sad because I remember everyone's name at Virgo and they just look at me like I offended certain employees. I get it I shouldn't take it personal but I kind of have to. My mom just recently passed away and this was our one thing we did before she got sick. I'm going somewhere that isn't over price and cheap customer service and actually considerate what the customer may be thinking. I used to go here a lot but the last couple times havent been the best. My last bad review i posted was deleted, and no one ever tried contacting me to address it. When I left last night i had acrylic all over my fingers.. not too bad just annoying. But i came in wanting a full set with shellac and he told me i had to do ombre bc thats his specialty.. but never told me Id be overcharged $20. I was cut twice, the blend isnt good, and my thumb looks like its getting an infection (it's hot and red) because the acrylic is covering my cuticles.. my nails are in pain. I dont like them at all. Not to mention the first thing my mom and best friend said when they saw them was "the nude is too pink. Your nails look like press ons from walmart". I use to be a loyal customer until today. While getting a full set manicure, I asked for an ombré. The lady did not know what she was doing and put the powder over my skin letting it dry. It was a complete mess and she started over. I asked her to clean my nails up and she refused. My real nail is now glued to my skin. She later admitted she didn't know what she was doing. I came here on Monday for the first time, never comeback again no matter what. My pedicure is ok, but my tech is unbelievably rude. Got the old lady with short hair, I forgot to pick my color, she ask" are you doing shellac? " I said no, she said "pick your color", even though my feet is already in the water. She point her finger to my face like that made me feel uncomfortable. Then she tried to push me to do their happy hour pedicure, I told her, I dont have time, I just want to do the fastest one.
