The food was good. We mostly had breakfast as we came in later in the evening. The ambiance is fine. Restaurant is clean. It was the service that knocks it down a bit. The server we had was very nice. But the host took forever to get people seated. There was a longer line outside and I get it will be a bit of a wait. But there did not seem to be any sense of urgency to move things along. Decent place if you want a bite to eat. Just expect that it may take longer than you think. read more

Cafe inside of Virgin River Hotel in Mesquite, NV. Open 24 -hours, but we went here for breakfast during our 7 on 7 tournament for my son. Not much of a wait....like it was for dinner, but not so bad for breakfast. The attached picture is of my biscuit and gravy. My husband had the 2 eggs (sunny side up) and bacon....also came with hash brown and toast. I had some of the hash brown, and it was good. Decent prices for breakfast. Service was awesome...wish I had his name, so I can shout it out here. Typical cafe style inside nothing spectacular. Maybe its time for a makeover though. Although I recommend the food, the host/hostess person is on a power trip, and should not berate or argue with customers. We arrived at 3:45 and were asked if we were there for prime rib. My first time here and I will never ever be back. Walked in as a group to eat and because we didn't want one bill we were told that we had to separate. So I even went with that. So we separated across the room from each other for them to come back again and say now we have to sit on the other side of the wall from each other from . So we had a total of 9 people, we separated by 4 and 5 across the room from each other. For them to then come to the 5 table and say 2 of us have to sit in the other side of the wall. With overwhelming menu, I asked the server to suggest. She said carne asada tacos were her favorite. They were disgusting. Side salad awful. Dining partner tried Chicken Fried Steak - horrible. I don't generally leave a bad review unless I've had more than one bad experience with a restaurant. However, I don't see myself going back here a second time for any reason. I ordered the huevos rancheros, eggs were not cooked the way I ordered them, and they had zero salt. I was still able to eat them. However, the rice/beans looked like they had been sitting out for hours. The rice was crusty on top, and the beans were really thick (like they get after sitting around). The food is typical casino cafe quality....most of it is OK, but nothing spectacular. However, if you order take out, always check your order before you leave. I have ordered take out many times from this place, and they frequently get the orders wrong (either they give you a wrong dish, or they forget a dish all together). Obviously, any restaurant occasionally makes these errors....but with Virgin River, I would say it happens at least 20% of the time....which is totally unacceptable. It is quite apparent that they lack a valid system that check's an order's accuracy, before sending them out to their customers. If not for this problem with their "To Go Orders", I would have rated them as 3 Stars. read more

Virgin River Cafe is a 24 restaurant located on the south corner of the Virgin River Casino. Generally, there is a line during peak hours and on weekends, but the hostess usually has the line move swiftly. This is the only restaurant in the casino other than the buffet, and the only place in the casino to eat after midnight. The staff has always been friendly and quick to get everything you need. The keno station is located in back dining room of the restaurant, if you want to get your keno on while eating. The prices are great, and they still have the popular deuces 24 hour special, which consist of pancakes, bacon, sausage,eggs and hash browns for $5.99. This may be a case of trying to be all things to all people. The sandwiches and fries were all very good. American food, they get. However, they also have a Chinese menu. We ordered Egg Foo Young. Should have turned it back just on the looks. Looked like 3 giant overstuffed cinnamon rolls. Huge. Worst we have ever had. Over-cooked probably due to their size. The menu is virtually the same as the Casa Cafe at the Casablanca Casino as I believe they're sister resorts. However, their specials are different. There is plenty of items to choose from on the menu. From breakfast to steaks and sandwiches, to Chinese food. They serve breakfast all day. They also serve Pepsi products, so I can get my Mt. Visited on way back from Vegas. Grabbed lunch with the family. Tried to come here a year ago but the line and wait to get in was gigantic, so we went somewhere else. The waiter that helped us, (Salvador) seemed short-tempered and the ordering process reminded me of a certain Seinfeld episode where there was a certain protocol that was required in order to order some soup. Anyways, after ordering, the wait time for the food arrival was relatively short. Wife ordered French toast. Portions looked plentiful and the flavor was good according to her. Daughter ordered Belgium waffle. It was big as the plate. Light and fluffy with some butter and strawberries on the side Younger son ordered bacon and eggs. He opted for over-medium eggs. Looked good and he dug into it. Older son ordered blueberry pancakes with over-medium eggs. He says tasted great! I ordered Denver omelette with sourdough toast, came with nice and crispy hash browns. Food was great. Kids ordered soda which was fine. I just ordered water and it tasted off. The hubby and I needed somewhere to eat after the Lights fest on May 6th. Since this place was open 24 hours seemed like a good option. The reason I'm taking off a star was that we waited for quite awhile to get seated. I watched the couple in front of us go to the cashier and tell her they had been waiting awhile and the cashier told them to to go back and wait by the podium. She then went into the back for about 10 minutes. During this time that couple left. When the cashier came back out of the back she went back to take care of some people paying then she came over and seated us. We didn't know she was the hostess too. Never said anything like it'll be a few minutes or any kind of pleasantry. Also when we were leaving and needed to pay she stood and talked to a friend for a bit while she made us wait to pay. Ok, onto the good. The food was really good for a diner. I got the breakfast special and I think this is one of the only places that actually made my eggs over medium. Hubby got a burger and potato salad and the potato salad was delicious. Burger was perfectly cocked too. He got apple pie for dessert which he also enjoyed. Of course I tried the prime rib special, it has crept up to 8.99 from 6.99 recently, still a big solid meal for that price though. We chose to eat here on Saturday around brunch which was a very busy time for the cafe. We didn't have to wait too long for a seat but ended up in a table in the middle of the dining area with a lot of foot traffic. They were advertising Chinese so I decided to try their daily special of Singapore Noodles. It came with an egg roll, egg drop soup, and a side of rice. The rice wasn't really fried rice but tasted like white rice with soy sauce on it. The noodles were very good and had a lot of flavor. They came with shrimp. The egg drop soup also had a good flavor. I never ate at their cafe since the food in this area is below average. The Cafe or 24/7 diner is Dennys-like. Simple, and straightforward. Don't expect too much, but to get filled with friendly staff. Location: C Located inside the Virgin River Casino. Options are limited in this area. Vegas is appx an hour away and St. George, Utah being 30 minutes out with millions of options. If you are venturing to the Southern Utah Parks (Zion, Bryce, etc), and if you want to maximize your dollar then I would advise crashing at the Virgin River at the expense of about 45 minutes. What's with the crazy line? Prime rib dinner for $4.99, that's what! Those billboards definitely do the trick! We were driving back to Vegas and couldn't help but notice the signs advertising a $5 prime rib dinner. We figure it's time to eat, why not? Mostly everyone in line is of retirement age, that's the first thing you notice. And you do see lots of other specials going on besides this cheap dinner. The wait was probably about 30 minutes and out comes our prime rib, just as we ordered it. It also came with a baked potato and a side of steamed veggies. (It's not on the menu, fyi.) Not too shabby! Sure, the beef was lacking in taste, but that's what sauce is for! They also throw in bread rolls and butter to complete your dinner. This casual cafe is located in the Virgin River Resort & Casino and although it's a regular cafe, they do feature a 'fine dining' option from 4 pm to 10 pm. Prices can then jump up to $48 for Surf and Turf dinner options! Overall, we were happy with getting such a cheap meal for $5. I went for dinner twice in 3 days and tried the pot stickers, pork fried rice, and sweet and sour pork. Man oh man were they delicious - every single one! My parents have wonton soup here all the time and love it. Service is sometimes a bit on the slow side and you have to go through the smoke-filled casino to get to the restaurant but the Chinese food is worth it. Came for breakfast, 3 of us each ordered the $4.99 special. You can't really go wrong with breakfast. 2 eggs, 2 bacon or sausage and hash brown with toast for $4.99 is a steal. Food is hot and fresh and I ordered a fruit bowl for us to share. This fruit bowl wasn't just on a flat plate, it was so much more than it even looked like. Fed all 3 of us and had a to go box that we ate later at the pool. Service is great, lines are never long. It's a small old town feel in there. Definitely recommend for 24 hour food. read more

They have a Chinese section, which our option of chicken noodle soup came with fried noodles on the side along with the noodle soup. It's cheap and open 24 hours a day, so it works! I stopped by around 2 AM after a night of gambling. Ordered the biscuits and gravy, and a side of sausages. The sausages were fine! The biscuits were also ok. They were pretty small, but the texture was alright. My biggest complaint was the gravy. Not sure what was in it, but it was... sour... I'm not sick, so I'm assuming they added something sour tasting to it, but it wasn't good. I have eaten there before and don't remember disliking it. First time staying at this casino I got up and had breakfast at the Virgin River Café I asked for the steak and eggs I wanted my steak medium got it raw The toast they gave me was mildew and the bedroom they don't have any shampoo so you might want to bring your own they don't have any show channels I don't think I'll ever come here ever again this place is not good they don't even have hand sanitizing stations that work and last night me staying in my room I heard somebody screaming help several times I called down to the front desk and it took them a while to answer I opened my door and seen three or four guys on one guy laying down thank God for CCW do you know the sad part about this is management didn't give a care I guess they don't believe in food poisoning read more
