Came with my Three Kids. Get our food, ask for Tabasco, server never returns.... I find a giant thick hair in my eggs. I get it, accidents happen. However, the waitress never came back to check on us, so I couldn't get a replacement meal. They took off $9.99 for my Ham Streak & Eggs.... But.... I had to sit there while my kids ate, and I ate my side of toast. The extra annoyance was I expected her to come back, with the Tabasco I had asked for. The food is typical casino cafe quality....most of it is OK, but nothing spectacular. However, if you order take out, always check your order before you leave. I have ordered take out many times from this place, and they frequently get the orders wrong (either they give you a wrong dish, or they forget a dish all together). Obviously, any restaurant occasionally makes these errors....but with Virgin River, I would say it happens at least 20% of the time....which is totally unacceptable. It is quite apparent that they lack a valid system that check's an order's accuracy, before sending them out to their customers. If not for this problem with their "To Go Orders", I would have rated them as 3 Stars. read more

This may be a case of trying to be all things to all people. The sandwiches and fries were all very good. American food, they get. However, they also have a Chinese menu. We ordered Egg Foo Young. Should have turned it back just on the looks. Looked like 3 giant overstuffed cinnamon rolls. Huge. Worst we have ever had. Over-cooked probably due to their size. I don't generally leave a bad review unless I've had more than one bad experience with a restaurant. However, I don't see myself going back here a second time for any reason. I ordered the huevos rancheros, eggs were not cooked the way I ordered them, and they had zero salt. I was still able to eat them. However, the rice/beans looked like they had been sitting out for hours. The rice was crusty on top, and the beans were really thick (like they get after sitting around). Virgin River Cafe is a 24 restaurant located on the south corner of the Virgin River Casino. Generally, there is a line during peak hours and on weekends, but the hostess usually has the line move swiftly. This is the only restaurant in the casino other than the buffet, and the only place in the casino to eat after midnight. The staff has always been friendly and quick to get everything you need. The keno station is located in back dining room of the restaurant, if you want to get your keno on while eating. The prices are great, and they still have the popular deuces 24 hour special, which consist of pancakes, bacon, sausage,eggs and hash browns for $5.99. I recommend signing up for the players club to get food discounts and coupons for the restaurant. The food is exactly what you would expect from a 24 hour Cafe inside a casino . read more

The hubby and I needed somewhere to eat after the Lights fest on May 6th. Since this place was open 24 hours seemed like a good option. The reason I'm taking off a star was that we waited for quite awhile to get seated. I watched the couple in front of us go to the cashier and tell her they had been waiting awhile and the cashier told them to to go back and wait by the podium. She then went into the back for about 10 minutes. During this time that couple left. When the cashier came back out of the back she went back to take care of some people paying then she came over and seated us. We didn't know she was the hostess too. Never said anything like it'll be a few minutes or any kind of pleasantry. Also when we were leaving and needed to pay she stood and talked to a friend for a bit while she made us wait to pay. Ok, onto the good. The food was really good for a diner. I got the breakfast special and I think this is one of the only places that actually made my eggs over medium. Hubby got a burger and potato salad and the potato salad was delicious. Burger was perfectly cocked too. He got apple pie for dessert which he also enjoyed. Visited on way back from Vegas. Grabbed lunch with the family. Tried to come here a year ago but the line and wait to get in was gigantic, so we went somewhere else. This trip we made it just in time for no wait. The staff seemed interested in being anywhere else other than at work. Daughter ordered Belgium waffle. It was big as the plate. Light and fluffy with some butter and strawberries on the side Younger son ordered bacon and eggs. He opted for over-medium eggs. Looked good and he dug into it. Older son ordered blueberry pancakes with over-medium eggs. He says tasted great! I ordered Denver omelette with sourdough toast, came with nice and crispy hash browns. Food was great. Kids ordered soda which was fine. I just ordered water and it tasted off. The menu is virtually the same as the Casa Cafe at the Casablanca Casino as I believe they're sister resorts. However, their specials are different. They did nothing to make the air cleaner in there; it smells like a cigarette when you leave; you smell like an ashtray . New owners, new gadgets that cost less and keep you gambling. We chose to eat here on Saturday around brunch which was a very busy time for the cafe. We didn't have to wait too long for a seat but ended up in a table in the middle of the dining area with a lot of foot traffic. They were advertising Chinese so I decided to try their daily special of Singapore Noodles. It came with an egg roll, egg drop soup, and a side of rice. The rice wasn't really fried rice but tasted like white rice with soy sauce on it. The noodles were very good and had a lot of flavor. They came with shrimp. The egg drop soup also had a good flavor. I never ate at their cafe since the food in this area is below average. The Cafe or 24/7 diner is Dennys-like. Simple, and straightforward. Don't expect too much, but to get filled with friendly staff. Location: C Located inside the Virgin River Casino. Options are limited in this area. Vegas is appx an hour away and St. George, Utah being 30 minutes out with millions of options. If you are venturing to the Southern Utah Parks (Zion, Bryce, etc), and if you want to maximize your dollar then I would advise crashing at the Virgin River at the expense of about 45 minutes. If you are in a wheel chair they will discriminate you! Came in for breakfast as usual on Sunday morning, my sister is in a wheel char. The host sat us by the entrance and a few minutes later server came to our table very rude and told us to move because the wheel chair was on the way.(it was not) even though people sitting around us said we were ok. Then manager sent another server to tell us in spanish even though we speak very fluent English. We ask them ok why do you sit us here? Very solid diner. Their options are well done while the food was good quality. They have a Chinese section, which our option of chicken noodle soup came with fried noodles on the side along with the noodle soup. It also automatically came with many sauces - a well done presentation and easily competes with your local Chinese joint. The normal diner stuff was solid and also competes or outdoes your local diner. The service was decent as well. Definitely a good place to dine while you are passing by. read more

What's with the crazy line? Prime rib dinner for $4.99, that's what! Those billboards definitely do the trick! We were driving back to Vegas and couldn't help but notice the signs advertising a $5 prime rib dinner. We figure it's time to eat, why not? Mostly everyone in line is of retirement age, that's the first thing you notice. And you do see lots of other specials going on besides this cheap dinner. The wait was probably about 30 minutes and out comes our prime rib, just as we ordered it. It also came with a baked potato and a side of steamed veggies. (It's not on the menu, fyi.) Not too shabby! Sure, the beef was lacking in taste, but that's what sauce is for! They also throw in bread rolls and butter to complete your dinner. This casual cafe is located in the Virgin River Resort & Casino and although it's a regular cafe, they do feature a 'fine dining' option from 4 pm to 10 pm. Prices can then jump up to $48 for Surf and Turf dinner options! Overall, we were happy with getting such a cheap meal for $5. Service is sometimes a bit on the slow side and you have to go through the smoke-filled casino to get to the restaurant but the Chinese food is worth it. Came for breakfast, 3 of us each ordered the $4.99 special. You can't really go wrong with breakfast. 2 eggs, 2 bacon or sausage and hash brown with toast for $4.99 is a steal. Food is hot and fresh and I ordered a fruit bowl for us to share. This fruit bowl wasn't just on a flat plate, it was so much more than it even looked like. The biscuits were also ok. They were pretty small, but the texture was alright. My biggest complaint was the gravy. Not sure what was in it, but it was... sour... I'm not sick, so I'm assuming they added something sour tasting to it, but it wasn't good. I have eaten there before and don't remember disliking it. Simple food, good variety, and great prices, what more can you ask for from a casino cafe? Located inside the Virgin River Casino, this place is nothing fancy, so you get what you pay for. Meals include breakfast options (24 hours), burgers, sandwiches, steaks, fish, tacos, and a new, rather extensive, Asian menu. The service was semi-friendly and the salad (included) that came before my Carne Asada Tacos ($9.95) was fresh with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, croutons, and blue cheese dressing. The plate came with three flour (I prefer the more traditional corn) tortillas full of mountains of well-seasoned chopped steak, onions, and cilantro. I asked for "all beans, no rice", but instead of the rice I got a huge pile of shredded lettuce, a total waste of space. There was also a small scoop of guacamole and sour cream on the side. The beans were nontraditional and very spicy, but decent. For a quick, cheap meal to fill the void in your tummy, this place fits the bill. You have to take the check up to the cashier upon departure to pay, but I was relatively happy with the entire experience for $13, including tax and tip. I actually like the food at the cafe but I always get the specials. The ham steak breakfast is hearty and filling. It comes with a big slice of hame, eggs, hash browns and toast.
