Virgin Hotel, located off strip. The hotel is very close to the strip. It is walkable. They do offer local discounts, such as waiving the resort fee, but you must book through them, not a third-party. You also get other discounts on property. Check-in was very quick and easy and they even let us into our room two hours early. We booked a Canyon suite in the Canyon Tower. The room was renovated, modern, and very clean. The living room and bar area was very spacious. The bedroom is also spacious with a separate fainting couch near the window. There were two closets and also a vanity table in the bedroom. The bathroom was large, but only had one sink. There was a very big shower as well as a jetted tub. If you need room service, you can just order it on your TV. This includes asking for towels and other toiletries. The hotel itself was pretty quiet. You can hear some of the music by the pool area, which did start around 8 AM. The casino floor is very large with many different slots and table games. There is also a variety of restaurants and a convenience store.

If you are planning to book here to use your AMEX plat hotel credit here - DONT. Spend a little more for another stay on the strip. My review is for the hotel itself and not Kassi or the Theatre which Ive been to a handful of times and which are both great on their own. Booked a staycation here solely because their website said the pool would be by the time our stay came in early March 2026 and week of my reservation they pushed it to end of March. Front desk was fine. Its a smaller hotel so they only have 2-3 FDAs working at a time. At checkin the guy was kinda standoffish that i was checking in early even though my room was ready, but only upgrade was just a double bed on a higher level. The resort fee was almost $60/night which is crazy given parking is free and the pool was closed. It says its also to cover water bottles, which you can get gambling downstairs. Checkout line was really long. The hotel was literally a ghost town. I think there was a small tech conference and girls basketball tournament in town. The thing that bothered me the most is that literally all the restaurants close early or are closed during certain weekdays. Where do people eat for lunch around here. Budget cuts!! Was only able to use the food credit at the mexican restaurant and breakfast place. The breakfast place was pretty sad w tax $30 for basic options. I couldnt even use it at the Dunkin Donuts or convenience store they had. Pros: The rooms are nice/clean. Theres a vanity table for the ladies. The gym was fantastic. Free parking. Walking distance to CVS and restaurant in the strip mall across. Overall Virgin is a very boring hotel. Its a small property which may be ok if you hate crowds and the overstimulation from the Strip. The Shag Room looked interesting, but Kassi is the only standout restaurant and theres oddly enough a Nobu here that doesnt quite fit. I actually visited recently for a concert and see they revamped their locals and cherry rewards promotions, but I cant say I would recommend Virgin if you are looking for a memorable and fun Vegas stay.

Virgin hotel is a nice alternative to the Vegas strip hotels and casinos. It's a lot more of a relaxing environment here the rooms in the Opal tower were pretty nice, the even numbered rooms have a view of the resorts pool and the airport. They have some decent food options with the Kitchen for breakfast & Pizza port as solid lunch or late name options. The fitness center is one of the better ones I've seen in a Las Vegas resort & the pool area has a day clubs, adults only general pool area, and a regular pool area that has beach sand. Since the hotel isn't on the strip there are a few local restaurants nearby in walking distance, and a cvs across the street if you need to get some more affordable essentials. The only slight con i have for Virgin is the casino floor didn't seem too lively . The good side to that if the betting minimums are pretty good but the downside is that it can feel like a boring place to play. Another plus to the casino seeming pretty empty is if you're here with a group of friends there's a good chance you all can get a table to yourselves and start your own fun.

Our two night stay here was great. Check in was not until 3pm but I received a message that my room was ready by noon so we were lucky to be able to check in earlier. I booked a two queen bed room and we were on the 16th floor. Check in was easy and the front desk worker was super friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and organized when we walked in. The beds were comfy and the bathroom was spacious. The view was great as we could see a bit of the strip and the pool area. The housekeeping ladies were alllll very nice and would greet us as we walked down the halls. We asked for extra towels and toiletries and they were given to us quick. We visited the pool once and it was fun. We were given a $50 daily credit and we opted to use it at the pool bar and at the coffee shop. The secure parking garage was free which is awesome as so many of the hotels charge for parking. The strip was about a mile away which was nice as we could've walked if we wanted to. Overall great stay!

I stopped by Virgin Hotels Las Vegas for dinner at Lucia Mexican Grill and ended up walking around the hotel a bit afterward. I wasn't staying there, but I liked the vibe of the place! It feels modern and fun, which is always nice in Vegas. Lucia Mexican Grill was fantastic and definitely the main reason I came, but it was nice getting to see what else the hotel had to offer! There are quite a few restaurants inside, including Nobu, so it seems like a good spot to come for dinner even if you're not a hotel guest. I liked that there were different options depending on what kind of night you're looking for! Another big plus is the free parking. That makes such a difference, especially when you're just stopping in for food or drinks and don't want to deal with extra fees. I had a really great time at Virgin Hotels! Lucia Mexican Grill was amazing, the hotel had a cool atmosphere, and I'd definitely come back to try more of the restaurants.

Cute little casino and hotel located off the strip but near the university and plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

HOT HOTEL VALUE OFF THE STRIP!! Virgin hotels Las Vegas Hotel and Casino is really a nice place!! This was my first time here inside this building since the transformation from when it was the Hard Rock hotel and casino. Of which, that is my favorite hotel of all time. It was not too busy just a local checking out the new scenery and it was really nice inside. I like all of the restaurant additions and the decorations. The casino games look pretty basic and standard casino floor. Great air-conditioning, which is nice on a hot Las Vegas summer night. It was still daylight, even though it was nighttime and the back side of the hotel with the pool area, cabana area and concert area was in top notch condition! Plenty of options here to dine! I especially liked the Pizza Forte! Also, free parking garage that was really nice attached to the building so you didn't have to walk outside. I would love to come back here to catch a show and or stay in the rooms and see what those are like. It was hard not to try and figure out what it used to look like way back in the day. I was confused for a minute, but I really enjoyed the cherry design, red accents all of which seemed to be the logo and theme all over. This property is nothing too overwhelming just very relaxing and chill. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place to go as a local for a staycation or a night out. And or anyone coming in from out of town, looking for something nice but off the Las Vegas strip also a great option!

I visited Virgin Hotels Las Vegas for the first time to attend another Yelp event. One of the first things I noticed and something I wish more casinos would bring back, is the free parking! It was completely free, with no gates or tickets to deal with, which made arriving and leaving so easy and stress-free, and definitely made spending time there less stressful as I wasn't constantly checking the time to see how much parking could cost or to not exceed a three hour limit that locals get for free at other casinos. To get to the restaurant, I walked through part of the casino floor. It was nicely decorated, and I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't notice any cigarette smoke. Maybe it was because I arrived before the weekend crowds, or there just weren't many people smoking at the time..? I did use the restroom by Lucia Mexican Grill. It is a very spacious and open bathroom, however, I didn't see any changing tables at all. That's something I look for when I go to casinos whether or not I'm with my youngest child, since it's just something I feel many casinos need to have. Families visit Vegas and go to the casinos also, so I don't understand why it's so difficult to find a changing table. Regardless, I definitely didn't get the full casino experience since I was there mainly for the event, but from what I did see, it made a positive first impression. I'd be interested in coming back to explore more of the property in the future.

OMG! This is such a hidden gem - I really don't want to share lol! Beautiful property with easy access to the strip and FREE PARKING! As others have mentioned, the casino and overall vibe of the property is tame compared to other hotels on the strip. I personally appreciated the respite from the energy of the city but others might find the calmer energy to be a turnoff. Didn't get to try out the pools but they looked nice along with the outdoor stage. There are also a few restaurants on-site including Nobu and another restaurant with a great breakfast buffet. My only gripes were with check-in (long lines with no option for online check-in), and room service (breakfast only, not 24/7). Overall, a great and affordable option for your next Vegas trip

Virgin Hotels Las Vegas genuinely surprised me in the best way. I stayed in a two-queen room in the Ruby Tower, and it was spacious, comfortable, and felt freshly updated. What I especially loved was the location of the tower. It's right off the casino, yet somehow feels tucked away in its own quiet little oasis, which is not something I usually associate with a Las Vegas hotel. The parking garage and valet were unbelievably convenient, and the service was probably the biggest standout of the entire stay. Every single person I interacted with was warm, helpful, and seemed genuinely happy to be there. You can usually tell when employees are just being polite because it's their job, and this didn't feel like that at all. The entire property felt refreshed and comfortable without the constant sensory overload of staying on the Strip. If I'm looking for a quieter, off-Strip Vegas stay in the future, I'd happily stay here again.

Hey yall! $35 (2 hr) SPA AMENITIES DEAL! From 4-6pm daily, you get to use the full spa areas, including sauna, steam rooms, hot tubs, pools inside the spa, and the gym.... That's a deal! For non hotel guests even! I couldn't find this deal anywhere else! It costs $180 for the spa entry at Resort world, I'm so happy I didn't go. Can't wait to try this out on sat or sun! I was told the gym is across from the spa and it's open door till 6pm daily! Yay!! I'm going!!

My friends and I decided on a staycation to celebrate a birthday this weekend, and spending the day at the Virgin Hotel pool turned out to be a great decision. The weather was beautiful, the music was a little boring but that's ok lol, and the atmosphere struck a nice relaxed vibe without feeling overcrowded. After grabbing our drinks, we settled into a comfortable spot and spent the afternoon unwinding. The pool area was well maintained, the staff was welcoming. Guests were enjoying themselves in different ways. I really like the 21+ pool. It seemed to be colder in temp compared to the other pool downstairs. It is hot up there because the sun is shining directly on the deck & they are no umbrellas up there. One of the best things about Las Vegas is that you can enjoy a getaway without ever leaving the city. This pool day felt like a mini vacation and was the perfect way to celebrate a birthday. Between the pleasant atmosphere, good service, and time spent with friends, it was an experience we would happily do again.

Virgin Hotels Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Virgin Hotels

    Is the pool heated?

The heated pool has been closed since the Summer of 2025.

Is there seating or handicap section for concerts on the lawn?

    Yes

I know the rooms are nice, but what about the gambling? That's what I come for. What are the typical minimums for BJ? Do they have side bets? I love Video Poker. Do the machines pay out?

I stayed in the Ruby Suite last February and the room was fantastic. Very clean and spacious. Great set up with tv and living room. Nice shower with good water pressure.…

    Are pets (small dogs) allowed?

dont bring them. they'll chase you down if your dog has an accident even if you cleaned it. they only have ONE pet relief area. they wont even tell you about the fees they have for if your dog has an accident

    Does this hotel allow children?

I've seen a few kids in there but honestly I see more dogs than kids. It's pet friendly. Not much for a kid to do there.

Are we allowed to bring water to the pool?

    Yes of course

How much is it for those staying there to access the spa area just as a day pass?

    Is parking free?

When I was last there in March '23, Self-parking and Valet were still complimentary. The Self-Parking is available at the Opal (Paradise Parking Garage) and Ruby Tower (Harmon Parking Garage), but always best to ask when checking in or to call to…

To use the pool do all guests have to be named on the reservations?

If they they are with you it's ok.

    Is the hotel pet friendly?

I've seen guests with pets, but I'm sure you have to pay a little extra.

    Is this hotel kid friendly?

I would say so, it's not as smokey as the other hotels/casinos. The pool area is nice too if you planning to travel when the weather is nicer.

    Do you have smoking rooms?

    No they don’t.

Is there any shuttle to/from the strip?

No! But their is Uber, Taxi, Lyft etc

Are there any EV chargers (i have a Tesla) in the parking garage for hotel guests?

They do. They are in the 3rd floor of the parking garage by the Ruby Tower. The slow charging ones are free!

Is there a shuttle that takes/picks up from both hotel/airport?

I do not believe so, and definitely not anything provided by the hotel when we were there late 2021. We used Uber to and from the airport.

Do they have AC in the rooms? I can't find that information anywhere.

Yes, there is AC in the rooms. Just stayed there in February. It's Vegas, no AC would be a death sentence.

Can anyone tell me how fast the Wi-Fi is? Is it more than 20 Mbps? Will need to do Zoom meetings.

I was able to with no problem

Are there bathtubs in the king rooms in canyon opal tower?

Yes, in the suite we had a bathtub and a separate shower

Do you have late check out?

Yes. But you need to ask for it when you check in -- chancing that the folks at the front desk answer the phone when you need them is riskier than playing Roulette after a full night of drinking.

Can I use fitness room for free when I stay?

Yes, steep $50 daily resort fee includes gym access

However, we had issues in service among other places in the property, notably the bell desk. We did have about a 2 hour delay before our room was ready so we dropped our stuff with the bell desk. The setup is weird, there is an inside person and people outside. It seems like everything goes through the outside people, we could only drop our stuff with them and pick our stuff up at checkout, we have no idea what the inside guy did except to direct us outside. Also, by the time our room was ready, we couldn't even pick up the stuff at the bell desk, only delivered to the room. It said it would take 15 minutes but we had to call and because it was "so busy" we had to wait almost an hour for it. The massive sprawling casino has a lot of games to play and a lot of different venues for everyone. Minimums are high for table games (as expected) but there is still something for everyone to play. Cocktail service was slow at times, but Sandra was friendly and quick as well as made some delicious cocktails. Overall, it really is a nice property with some great stuff. But it does feel like it doesn't know how to properly control crowds and leaving you like you were truly at a 5 star resort.

There's a separate check-in area for The Reserve which I really liked. It was not crowded at all. Upon checkin, they gave me a coconut macaroon which was amazing! I did like that special touch. There are separate elevators going to the Reserve Rooms. However, it is still shared with some of the upper floors from Park MGM. I know that other hotels on the strip have separate elevators exclusively for separate parts of the hotel. I really enjoyed my Atelier room. It was a little bit larger than the standard room. The distinguishing factor about this room is really the bathtub in the room. However, the bathtub itself seems to be a liability for the hotel. I have to say that someone can easily slip and fall in the bathtub. Use extreme caution when using the bathtub. I loved the European french decor. The toilet was a little far away from the bed, but I suppose that is good if you are traveling with somone so when they went to the restroom, it would be less noticable (more privacy, less noise). Since they are hardwood floors, I can hear chairs being moved around from the rooms above me during my stay. I was a little bit irked. Other than that, my stay was quite enjoyable at The Reserve.

However, for those of us who come to Vegas often, staying at those hotels often means higher prices and headaches with navigating around the busy traffic. Having stayed at most of the larger hotels (The Luxor, The Bellagio, Encore at Wynn, Park MGM etc) I've had my fill of the dazzling lights and boisterous crowds. I do recommend you try these hotels at least a few times to truly soak in the bustle of Las Vegas night life. For me, I prefer to stay adjacent to, but not within, The Strip. This way, I can have some comfort in a quieter setting and can call an uber at any moment to meet friends along The Strip. This was the reason I chose Nirvana Hotel. Situated right next to The Luxor and The Mandalay Bay, it is both affordable and close to the attractions I come to Vegas for. The exterior is a bit off-putting at first. You aren't greeted with the pristine fountained welcome that you expect from Vegas--the wonderful precession of marble floors, the lush green plants, the ornate chandeliers. The main check-in station is inside the souvenir shop which resembles that of a run down gas station. Service is quick and the check-in process is painless. Their doors all use numbers so you don't have to worry about misplacing your card. Just don't get so drunk you forget! The room itself is very humble: queen bed, LG tv, two night stands, a small fridge, and a walk-in shower. Clean, organized, and arranged professionally. I will definitely stay here again. Connie was at the reception and welcomed me warmly. Parking is free. That's right. FREE. For your entire duration of stay.

I was gone early in the morning and was back late The minus was street noise from construction and I was there on trash day so the trash truck backing up at 5:50 Am was an early morning wake up call ( I needed to be up at that time anyways) No house keeping while for my two day stay I would be happy to stay here again
