Queen sized bed inside of room at Nirvana Hotel

(My review is also posted on Google) When my flight home got cancelled, i decided to get a room for the night at the Nirvana Hotel rather than having to pay to extend my stay at Mandalay Bay. I had seen a YouTube review about this place by JacobsLifeInVegas, so i knew it would be decent. But honestly this was the cleanest room I've ever stayed in. Plus probably the only strip hotel to include a mini fridge for personal use. It's just a quick walk from Nirvana to Mandalay Bay or Luxor. It even offers some pretty good views of the strip. Plus a zen garden. You can tell this building is old, and that it was originally built to be a motel, but the current owners have definitely put a lot of effort into making this place a quant, clean and safe place for visitors not looking to spend an arm and a leg.

Close enough to the action but far from the chaos. Quiet. Breakfast delivered to your door. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. I will definitely stay here again.

My stay was short and I was out in the early AM. The room was as comfy as could be. Itsmelled good due to some fresh eucalyptus. plenty of toiletries and the AC worked well. Old School block walls!!! so Quiet. Close to a liquor store. Close to the airport. perfect location for my trip. great folks.

Newly Renovated hotel close to the airport with a zen garden and lots of special touches. New owner is delightful and eager to please. Breakfast was delivered to the room in a super cute picnic basket with breads, fruit, eggs and juice.

My husband and l stayed only for a night but it was enough to leave a great impression that we'd come back. We were greeted warmly by the staff especially the owner Sandy. She let us know that if we needed anything to let them know and that breakfast would be delivered in the morning. She introduced us to the chef named Alon who runs the onsite foodtruck named Blvd Eats/Shishlik Grill. He invited us back for happy hour to enjoy pizza and wine in the zen garden. The room was cozy and clean. It being a newly updated hotel, the mattress and linens were new. Nice plush robes were available with a lovey accent eucalyptus branch tucked in. I loved the added touches throughout the room and bathroom as well. We returned to partake in happy hour and requested a whole pizza with white wine. We sat in the peaceful zen garden while enjoying music playing while eating our pizza which was by the way, delicious! We retreated back to our room for the night. We slept soundly and breakfast was brought to us by their chef in a cute basket. A variety of appetizing items were delivered and the best were the delectable eggs that just seemed to taste better than your usual hotel eggs. This came with perfectly seasoned potatoes and slices of bacon. We were offered to pick up fresh coffee if wanted. Overall, the stay, food and hospitality were above and beyond my expectations. I would recommend staying here and look forward to returning.

    Nice quality robes

After a long flight, stepping into Nirvana was so peaceful and I felt instantly relaxed. My fiancé and I didn't know what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness, hospitality, and amenities.

I had read that Nevada residents had free parking. I got my license ready but I was unsure as to where I needed to scan it. Not seeing where, I took a ticket and the gate opened. I thought I'd check inside for information before I left. Parking near the elevators, it turned out not to be the elevators. There was a sign painted South Lobby and a right arrow. After looking for the elevators, I noticed there were some metal doors. The layout has a lobby on each floor behind these metal doors. That's where the elevators were. First impression is negative. I rode down to the lobby. I walked a short distance and saw Vida where I had planned to have breakfast. After breakfast, I followed the sign to the slot club where I thought I'd get the information. I did, but instead of just telling me where to scan the back of the license, I was invited to join the slot club and I'd get free parking. I'd also receive a minimal amount of free play. I signed up and took the card I was given with directions on how to load the free play. I chose a machine, followed the directions on the card, but nothing. I tried again starting from the beginning. Again, nothing. I decided it wasn't worth it and I played for a short time on my money. When I was done, I went back to the South Lobby and went to my floor. Then the "fun" began. I was uanble to leave. One area was blocked. I looked for signs but there weren't any where I was. At one point I went between some barriers. That gave me a short ride around the walls and I was back to where I first started. Eventually, a crew pulled aside one of the barriers and they told me where I needed to go. Finally, I got to the exit gate. I guessed as to where my license should be scanned. The machine wanted the ticket. After inserting it, I scanned my license and the gate went up. I was so pleased to see Elvis Presley Boulevard. In a short time, I was on my way west on Sahara. I was mentally scratching my head. I decided after the free play fiasco and the garage, that my visit to the Fontainebleau was a one and done. This is why locals don't generally go to the Strip. Different parking perks done differently. Why bother?

My first stay was 5-star worthy but this time there were a few things that left me wanting. It started with the front desk lady who was decent but was hurried and not as helpful as I'd like. When I asked where we could leave our luggage she just said valet but didn't tell us precisely where we should go so we walked in circles. She also didn't share where the rooms were but having been there before I was okay there. They do have a pretty slick process where you get a text and it walks you through a lot of the information I thought she might have provided so if she would have even explained that part to me it would have been better. Fortunately our room was ready early so we didn't have to drag our luggage around for hours or until we found someone to hold them for us. The room was in the Spa Tower and was nice. It had a large soaking tub and separate shower as well as his and hers sinks. The bed was comfortable and, although being on the 7th floor wasn't great for the best views, it still was a good vantage point to see the ferris wheel and part of the sphere and the Bellagio fountains. On the downside, the sinks periodically emitted sewage smells. But the worst thing was they started doing some drilling that started at 5:30am on Monday. You read that correct, 5:30am! And it was so loud that when I went down to the 4th and then the 1st floors I could still hear it loud and clear. This was incredibly inconsiderate. When I got to the 1st floor I saw another guest complaining about it too. I get it, renovations have to take place. But at a decent hour! The next day they didn't start until about 8:30am, which was much more reasonable.

There are fewer than 300 rooms and suites at The Reserve, each decorated with a distinct New York style by French architect and designer Jacques Garcia. Each room is appointed with custom furnishings, Bellino linens, and large flat screen TVs. Many suites also feature free-standing pedestal bathtubs and separate water closets. Since we've stayed at this property over the past six years, we have noticed there have been no decor changes or improvements to its excellent services. Staff was professional and the atmosphere is much calmer compared to most casino hotels in Las Vegas, which can actually be a big plus if you want a more relaxed environment. One important thing to know - if your room is on a lower floor, don't expect much of a view. Some lower-floor rooms face the back side of nearby buildings and the experience is completely different compared to the higher floors. I would strongly recommend asking for a higher floor upgrade if possible, because the views are significantly better and really change the overall impression of the hotel. The fact that the hotel is non-casino is actually nice and makes the property feel more peaceful and less chaotic than many Vegas resorts.
