My husband and I booked a two-night stay in a Terrace Suite for July 3-5 to celebrate our 15th…read morewedding anniversary and enjoy the Fourth of July fireworks. We've stayed at the Cosmopolitan several times before, including in Terrace Suites with fountain views, so we were really looking forward to another memorable stay. Knowing it was a busy holiday weekend, I made every effort to request a better view well in advance. I called on June 25 to have a note added to our reservation requesting either a fountain view or, at the very least, a Strip view. After arriving in Las Vegas, I even stopped by the front desk a couple of days before check-in to ask if any upgrades might become available. I was told they couldn't guarantee anything but would note my request and recommended I come back early on check-in day. I followed their advice. I returned again late Thursday night to ask about availability and was told to complete an early pre-check-in because that would give me the best chance if rooms opened up. The next morning, I completed my pre-check-in around 8:30 a.m. The front desk confirmed fountain-view rooms were fully booked, which I completely understood. I then specifically asked for a Strip-view room instead, and they assured me they would note the request. When I finally checked into Room 2189, I was incredibly disappointed. Instead of a Strip view, the balcony overlooks the back of surrounding buildings, employee parking areas, rooftops, and mechanical equipment. You can barely catch a glimpse of the Strip only if you lean far over the balcony. For a room marketed around its terrace and views, this was a huge letdown-especially for a milestone anniversary and the Fourth of July, when we specifically wanted to enjoy the fireworks from our room. I immediately called the front desk and later spoke with the manager, Jonathan. He explained the hotel was fully booked and I even asked if there might be an opportunity to move rooms the following day, but I was told those rooms were already committed to other guests. While I understand a holiday weekend creates limited availability, what was disappointing is that I made multiple requests over several days, both by phone and in person, and still ended up with what felt like one of the least desirable views in the hotel. Jonathan did offer a $150 resort credit, which I ultimately accepted, but it didn't make up for missing the experience we specifically booked this stay to enjoy. The multiple attempts over the phone and in person to get at least a view of the strip not this crappy view!!! The Terrace Suite itself is spacious, clean, and well-designed, and I've had wonderful experiences at the Cosmopolitan in the past. My disappointment isn't with the room itself --it's with the lack of consideration for repeated guest requests and the overall customer service surrounding this stay. I'll be posting photos of the actual view so others can decide whether this particular room is worth booking. Unfortunately, for such an important occasion, this stay fell far short of expectations. I left feeling disappointed, and because of this experience, I'll likely choose another hotel for future trips to Las Vegas.

No, it wasn't the same as the ones in Venice (I know because I've been in Venice and ridden one of their gondolas), but you know that going in. You're in Vegas so I didn't expect the same thing. I was looking forward to the Vegas version of this classic ride and I got it. Was it over priced? Yes. At the same time you get what you pay for. A fun ride around the camels in the Venetian Resort in Las Vegas. There was supposed to be an photographer taking our picture so we can buy at the end, but his camera malfunctioned so we didn't get the shot. This was a huge disappointment as I'm all about pictures and I really wanted the opportunity to see the glamorous shot the professional photographer took and if it captured the. Moment like i had I would have bought it. Fortunately we weren't totally relaying on him. We brought our own camera and took the perfect shot with the gondolier in the background and the bridge when you come out. It was perfect. You didn't have all the busyness of Vegas in the background. I'm overly thrilled with my photo, I got exactly what I paid for a fun ride and the perfect shot to frame and remember this day. And yes, I really did frame it and it sits on my piano. As long as you know what you're paying for, it's totally worth it. And now that you've seen my shot and know that it's taken at the end of the ride when you come out from under the bridge, you can get the same shot too. Have fun and enjoy Vegas and the Venetian. Maybe even walk around the quaint streets and have some ice cream after your ride.

For the Hotel/Resort: The basic rooms here are better than the majority of other strip hotels. I personally think its top 3, even a small upgrade here gets you a very spacious room. I have stayed in the regular rooms and suites at both The Venetian and The Palazzo. The venetian rooms are more updated, but the Palazzo rooms are good too. The self parking has a lot of spaces but ingress/egress is easier at The Palazzo. However the valet parking here is faster compared to other resorts. The rideshare pickup/dropoff is good too. The casino floor is bright, clean, and good gaming variety. For the slots, I like that they have both old and new machines. I like the older "top dollar" and "run for your money" machines. I also like some of the new machines like KONG . They also have a great variety of video poker, blackjack, roulette, and craps! I have yet to play at the tables here but they have a good variety. The beverage service is good, but coverage/timing could be improved. I feel like some parts of the casino floor do not get as much service. They also have a great variety of food and restaurant options for all budgets. My personal favorite here is Estiatorio Milos. A close second would be SushiSamba. However, I have never had a bad meal here. I also recommend Sugarcane, Chica, Cote, and Smith/Wollensky. I still want to try the other options here! Overall great place to stay or check out. First Impressions: The hotel has one of the best scents in Vegas; if you know, you know. Whatever they're using in the vents, paired with their designated smoking areas, really keeps the air noticeably fresher than most other casino hotels. Check-In & Service: Big shoutout to Kim at the front desk for such a warm welcome. She gave us a choice between a room close to the elevator or midway down the hall, and advised going with the latter since the hotel was hosting a cheer convention (i.e., excited kids everywhere!). Her advice was spot on and her customer service was top notch. Truly a fantastic way to start our weekend. Room: Our room was gorgeous: spacious, super clean, and well maintained. We had a great pool view, loved the privacy door for the toilet, and the stone-walled shower with a bench was a nice upgrade. There was also a large soaking tub with a clear view into the bedroom, a desk, and a separate seating area with two ridiculously comfy leather chairs. Pool & Amenities: After unpacking, we went straight to the pool. The main area has two large pools separated by a walkway and cabanas, with two jacuzzis at the end near a huge outdoor screen. There's also a day club if you're looking for a party vibe, complete with its own bar, pool, cabanas, and a live DJ. We enjoyed relaxing in the sun and loved the easy access to drinks from the mid-bar or roaming servers (didn't get a chance to try the food this time, but maybe next visit!). Parking & Fees: There is plenty of parking available in the lots, which makes coming and going a breeze. A $40 or $50 daily resort fee does apply, but that's pretty typical these days and didn't feel out of the ordinary. Final Thoughts: Every detail, from the clean air to the thoughtful service and beautiful property, made this a memorable stay. M Resort is definitely a notch above most Vegas hotels. While it's at the far end of the strip just past Resort's World, it's not too far from downtown Vegas so it works out nicely if you plan to spend time in both areas. Although we didn't make use of them, the nearby monorail takes you to the center strip and the Tesla Tunnel can get you over to the Wynn which saves you about 20-25 minutes of walking. Parking is free as long as you sign up for their free rewards program. The resort itself is gorgeous and you could truly just spend your time in Vegas here without going to other resorts. My main requirement when searching for a hotel was a nice pool, as I wanted to lay out and enjoy the Vegas heat. Including the dayclub Liv, there are 7 pools here. 3 massive pools make up the majority of the area, with 2 adults only pools and one smaller pool tucked away. There's a bar in the center and waitresses that come around to take your food and drink orders. The chairs did get packed but we were always able to find 2 seats together. Don't always expect to be able to get an umbrella though. Upon checking in, the front desk staff was so friendly. The woman who checked me in, I believe her name was Gabby, made me feel extra special because I was visiting for my birthday. Everything about the decor of this hotel is high end. They have some amazing restaurants as well as a food court. I wish the food court had a few more casual options, but we opted for a chicken sandwich that was pretty delicious. We stayed in a Noble Suite which was extremely spacious with a full living room, bar area, large restroom, second smaller bathroom, and comfortable bed. We had a stunning view overlooking the strip, Sphere and pool and each element of the room felt luxurious. Keep an eye out for when they offer deals, because you can grab some pretty good rates.

Fontainebleau Las Vegas is technically on the Strip, but it does not feel like it at all, and that is exactly why I would absolutely stay here. It is quieter, cleaner, newer, and far less chaotic than the core Strip hotels. You do not get that constant overload of noise and traffic, and the entire property feels more controlled and elevated. It almost feels like it sits off the Strip even though it does not, which is a major advantage. The high end shops are a nice touch, although realistically most people are not walking in there to spend money, especially at places like Rick Owens. The food options, however, are surprisingly reasonable for a hotel of this level, with plenty of choices, and LIV is a strong draw since it is one of the top clubs in Las Vegas right now. This Fontainebleau does not feel anything like the Miami version, but if you are craving that energy you can always grab a slice at Miami Slice and call it a day. Room pricing is more approachable than expected, with nights ranging roughly from $120 to $300 depending on timing. Just keep in mind the resort fee runs about $62 per night, so a $120 room is really closer to $180 all in, which is still a very solid value for a newer luxury hotel in Las Vegas. My number one is still the Wynn, but this comes in strong at number two without question.

One of the most underrated parts of Wynn is the art collection throughout the property. There's a separate check-in area for The Reserve which I really liked. It was not crowded at all. Upon checkin, they gave me a coconut macaroon which was amazing! I did like that special touch. There are separate elevators going to the Reserve Rooms. However, it is still shared with some of the upper floors from Park MGM. I know that other hotels on the strip have separate elevators exclusively for separate parts of the hotel. I really enjoyed my Atelier room. It was a little bit larger than the standard room. The distinguishing factor about this room is really the bathtub in the room. However, the bathtub itself seems to be a liability for the hotel. I have to say that someone can easily slip and fall in the bathtub. Use extreme caution when using the bathtub. I loved the European french decor. The toilet was a little far away from the bed, but I suppose that is good if you are traveling with somone so when they went to the restroom, it would be less noticable (more privacy, less noise). Since they are hardwood floors, I can hear chairs being moved around from the rooms above me during my stay. I was a little bit irked. Other than that, my stay was quite enjoyable at The Reserve.

The lobby where we checked in was super dark and moody. There was a lot of seating and nice decor. It was chilly in there which felt like a nice escape from the Vegas heat. It was relatively quick for us to get checked in and receive our keys. This dark and dramatic theme is carried throughout the hotel and to the guest room areas too. We were put in Rm 30-24, which we converted into an adjoining room with Suite 30-22. Our room felt small to me. The bed takes up the majority of the room with little walking space. There is a desk, flat screen TV, sofa, and small wardrobe. The closet is pretty spacious and has some robes, slippers, and a steamer. The sofa was very stiff and honestly looked a bit dingy. There were crumbs on the seat and the pillows were incredibly old and limp. I was hesitant to sit on it! The closet felt disproportionately large for the room. I would have preferred a smaller closet to have more space in the room itself. The rooms and hallways are all so dark. There is no overhead lighting, only tiny lamps throughout the room. I am personally not a fan of this as it made the room feel even smaller and claustrophobic. I understand they are trying to make it feel ambient and moody, but the way it was presented felt more like sleeping in a cave. Inside the closet was the brightest area of the hotel! If you choose to have a conjoined room, it is impractical to keep the doors open. When the adjoining doors are open, it is impossible to use the doors facing the hallway. Everything was cramped and the doors were constantly banging against each other. The bathroom was nice with a spacious shower. The water pressure was slightly better than average, but not super strong. They provided the usual amenities: shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, shower gel, cotton swabs + cotton pads, makeup remover wipes, and a shower cap. I must say, the shampoo and conditioner were spectacular. My hair felt super soft and had no frizz when it dried. It smelled very nice too. The rest of the hotel was just okay. There is not much to do besides lay at the pool and gamble. It is pretty quiet and laid-back. That being said, the casino was pretty small. I did like that it was non-smoking though so it was not suffocating to walk through it. I enjoyed the pool area. Despite it being a hot summer day, there was plenty of seating and lounge chairs available. The music the DJ was playing was really good and the pool was super chilly. This is definitely not my first choice for a Vegas hotel but I could stay here again.

It seems as though their renovations have been completed. If you stayed here when it was the Mandarin Oriental, you will remember you had to go to the 3rd floor to check-in. WA kept that process until the most recent reno. You now checkin upon entry, like most places, however, you still go to the 3rd floor to access the guest room elevators and restaurant. I really love all the new touches and also enjoy the touches they kept from the previous franchise. The check-in staff was above and beyond friendly and looked for ways to make sure you would best enjoy your stay. After a long drive and plane ride, it's nice to chat with people who are genuinely engaged in getting to know about your stay. We had made reservations for spa treatments for after we are arrived and we thoroughly enjoyed that time. I would go as far as to say the WA spa is one of the best spas on the strip. Fabulous. The WA is a wonderful strip hotel in a great space and a lot of convenience in and around.

Speaking of location this place is in a very good location putting many establishments within a short walk or inexpensive rideshare. This is one of those hotels where there is plenty to do within the walls of the hotel........except gambling. There is no casino in this hotel as with many hotels and I enjoyed that aspect. The great part is that this location is located near what was once known as CityCenter and is now known as the Aria Campus. This is where plenty of newer buildings are located and plenty to do in this area. Check in and customer service were spot on. Of course, this being the Waldorf Astoria there are aspects of customer service you expect to find here that goes beyond other hotels. I especially like it when all your included amenities are explained without having to ask or even explain it to the front desk. The hotel staff comes early in case your room needs a refresh but if you leave your room later, they will leave a nice little paddle on your door to let you know they stopped by. It is very easy to reschedule a time for them to come back and may not be needed since they clean your room everyday. I mentioned to the front desk that I needed something and from the time I spoke with the front desk to going to our room on the 17th floor it was already in the valet door. A good stay but there were a few attention to detail aspects that could be worked on. I noticed there was a significant accumulation of dust at one of the vents. Also masking tape was used to keep the shower door sweep in place. Not something you would expect to see in the flagship brand within the Hilton Worldwide portfolio.
