The most unassuming quaint hotel I've ever witnessed. It's easy to think that going to Vegas means you have to stay on The Strip--ease of transportation, proximity to the shows, and the ambiance of "the Las Vegas" experience. However, for those of us who come to Vegas often, staying at those hotels often means higher prices and headaches with navigating around the busy traffic. Having stayed at most of the larger hotels (The Luxor, The Bellagio, Encore at Wynn, Park MGM etc) I've had my fill of the dazzling lights and boisterous crowds. I do recommend you try these hotels at least a few times to truly soak in the bustle of Las Vegas night life. For me, I prefer to stay adjacent to, but not within, The Strip. This way, I can have some comfort in a quieter setting and can call an uber at any moment to meet friends along The Strip. This was the reason I chose Nirvana Hotel. Situated right next to The Luxor and The Mandalay Bay, it is both affordable and close to the attractions I come to Vegas for. The exterior is a bit off-putting at first. You aren't greeted with the pristine fountained welcome that you expect from Vegas--the wonderful precession of marble floors, the lush green plants, the ornate chandeliers. The main check-in station is inside the souvenir shop which resembles that of a run down gas station. Service is quick and the check-in process is painless. Their doors all use numbers so you don't have to worry about misplacing your card. Just don't get so drunk you forget! The room itself is very humble: queen bed, LG tv, two night stands, a small fridge, and a walk-in shower. Clean, organized, and arranged professionally. I will definitely stay here again. Let's start with good location clean rooms and friendly check in. They have good WiFi free parking and no resort fee. This will look like to most a motel with a drive up to your room and an upstairs set of rooms. No pool . You are with in walking distance of the Four Seasons The Luxor and Mandalay Bay etc This is on Las Vegas South You can buy breakfast on site. Free coffee up in the front office with package cookies They have a mini fridge in the room. I was gone early in the morning and was back late The minus was street noise from construction and I was there on trash day so the trash truck backing up at 5:50 Am was an early morning wake up call ( I needed to be up at that time anyways) No house keeping while for my two day stay I would be happy to stay here again read more

The room was clean and the hotel was in a great location, with a pretty good lunch/breakfast spot on-site. I loved that I could walk out into fresh air and sunshine, instead of a loud casino, and I was able to sit and relax next to a cute little olive tree in their zen garden. The only thing missing, that I would have liked, was a microwave in the room. I was looking forward to going back again. I was disappointed to learn they closed. read more

I mean...how cute is this little hotel? If you want to stay in the heart of the strip comfortably for less, this is the place. But the real draw is how sweet the owners are. You literally feel like you're family. Both husband and wife are lovely. You can tell how proud they are of their first hotel endeavor. The bed is big with comfortable linens. Very comfortable and bright design. There's a place up front that has breakfast and lunch but don't think there's room service. Coffee in registration after 7A. Good Wifi. Good amenities in the bathroom though less counter space. My main critique would be the lack of charger next to the bed. There was some sort of plug in the side lamp but that didn't work for me. (My review is also posted on Google) When my flight home got cancelled, i decided to get a room for the night at the Nirvana Hotel rather than having to pay to extend my stay at Mandalay Bay. I had seen a YouTube review about this place by JacobsLifeInVegas, so i knew it would be decent. But honestly this was the cleanest room I've ever stayed in. Plus probably the only strip hotel to include a mini fridge for personal use. It's just a quick walk from Nirvana to Mandalay Bay or Luxor. It even offers some pretty good views of the strip. Plus a zen garden. You can tell this building is old, and that it was originally built to be a motel, but the current owners have definitely put a lot of effort into making this place a quant, clean and safe place for visitors not looking to spend an arm and a leg. read more

I had planned to stay here for a trade show at Mandalay Bay Convention Center, due to the proximity and price. I had a schedule change, which they easily accommodated, and then unfortunately had to cancel a week before my stay due to a funeral. Throughout all, the people at Nirvana were very kind. When I noticed that the prebook billing had not been refunded by the time I got my credit card statement, it took one call to the office to address the issue. I needed to wait until the next morning for the owner, Sandy, to give me a shout back. She was very apologetic about the miss and had already processed the refund. I received that confirmation quickly. Based on the other reviews I read at booking, I look forward to booking my next stay here. I always appreciate an honorable small business with a friendly disposition. read more

BEWARE: if you come during peak summer or any day when it's over 100° the air conditioning will have to run 24 seven and because they're individual window units it will be pretty loud (and hard to sleep if you're a light sleeper. I had to buy earplugs). Also the water in the shower will be hot no matter what you do since the pipes heat up so much. Would highly recommend to come during cooler days OR if the loud AC and the hot water in the shower won't bother you too much (it wasn't an absolute dealbreaker but also not ideal). My stay was short and I was out in the early AM. The room was as comfy as could be. Itsmelled good due to some fresh eucalyptus. plenty of toiletries and the AC worked well. This place is amazing. Great location, incredible staff. They really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Perfect location if you don't want to deal with the crowds of the big casinos, but still want to be on the strip. Walking distance to everything, and especially great if you're attending an event at Allegiant. Morning breakfast was absolutely delicious. Great price and location. However, I booked a non-smoking room, and it smells terrible upon first entry and re-entry. I informed the front staff, and she came in with a Lysol can. It helped a bit, but the smell returned. The place was completely booked, so no room transfers were possible. It was about $143 a night. The front staff was attentive and understanding, and she informed me that there was some kind of leakage on the second floor above room 15, which is causing the smell. I don't know what to tell you, but it smells like cigarettes in here. I checked for bed bugs and saw no traces, so I will commend them for that. read more

My husband and l stayed only for a night but it was enough to leave a great impression that we'd come back. We were greeted warmly by the staff especially the owner Sandy. She let us know that if we needed anything to let them know and that breakfast would be delivered in the morning. She introduced us to the chef named Alon who runs the onsite foodtruck named Blvd Eats/Shishlik Grill. He invited us back for happy hour to enjoy pizza and wine in the zen garden. The room was cozy and clean. It being a newly updated hotel, the mattress and linens were new. Nice plush robes were available with a lovey accent eucalyptus branch tucked in. I loved the added touches throughout the room and bathroom as well. We returned to partake in happy hour and requested a whole pizza with white wine. We sat in the peaceful zen garden while enjoying music playing while eating our pizza which was by the way, delicious! We retreated back to our room for the night. We slept soundly and breakfast was brought to us by their chef in a cute basket. A variety of appetizing items were delivered and the best were the delectable eggs that just seemed to taste better than your usual hotel eggs. This came with perfectly seasoned potatoes and slices of bacon. We were offered to pick up fresh coffee if wanted. Overall, the stay, food and hospitality were above and beyond my expectations. Had a concert right across the street at Mandalay bay didn't want the fuss of staying at a big hotel. 15 fwy was a mess and I arrived late was not a issue as the hotel was texting me and stay in contact day of arrival which was very convenient. Had zero problem finding and getting into my room. You can park right outside of your room. The hotel has its own security in the parking lot which is awesome. All of my belongs, my hair, and everything I brought into the room had a stench of cigarettes. I called ahead to cancel my other nights since I was displeased with my experience and they refused to refund. This location is also very dangerous, it is between a closed business and is a hot spot for aggressive gang activity. The door was super hard to lock behind when you leave. I was harassed multiple times by people on the sidewalk. Also the formula 1 track is being built right next to this hotel. It feels unsafe to travel on the bus this far south and still have to cross the Main Street. Homeless / Transients seem to be watching, targeting, and potentially hurting people is this area. Just pay extra for better or wait and save to go elsewhere. You get what you pay for. read more

I must say that I have stayed at the "higher end, expensive," etc." hotels on my trips to Vegas. This little gem is right across the street from Mandalay Bay. It's not some big flashy spot with screens and lights. It's low-key. Upon arrival, I was skeptical. The concierge was very helpful and polite. We went in the room and it was simple. Comfortable bed, fridge, A/C, TV, nightstands on either side. The shower had great pressure and was nice and hot. The towels were good quality, not those thin ones that won't allow you to dry off. It's newly renovated, very clean, and has double pane windows. Excellent! They also deliver breakfast to your door at a time requested by you! Not only that, ....it's actually good!! Something you would want to eat! These are hands down the best hotel eggs I have ever had. This isn't the typical trough of eggs you wait in line to get that taste cafeteria style. It really is legit. Whoever is preparing the breakfasts here actually cares about what they are making, and they bring it to your room in a basket with fruit, bread, and some sunny delight. I had the opportunity to meet the owner and his wife. Very nice people. Very personable and appear to have a real desire to provide a clean, safe, and enjoyable stay at their hotel. Wonderful cozy haven on the Strip. It's tiny, motel-style, and the golden Mandalay Bay Hotel literally looms over it, but I was SO happy to go back there after a day of navigating crowds, huge hotels and flashing lights. Everything is impeccably clean and miraculously quiet; lovely owner learned my name immediately and escorted me to my room; tasty breakfast is delivered to your room in a basket as if you were at a beach hotel somewhere.
