Nails are uncomfortably thin and pointing up . Super flimsy for 65 $ weak and unsupported. Looks more like a coat of gel with a tip. Super disappointing due to all the good things I've heard. He was super heavy handed with the file, on the left side of all the nail it was extremely over filed to the point he filed up my smile line maybe that's why it hurts. For being so early and only about 3-4 people in the salon, why the need to rush a luxury service? Acrylic full set in about 50 mins is pretty crazy Can't even put the slight pressure without it feeling like it's going to pop off (The super thin nails genuinely hurt) read more

I don't recommend getting a pedicure here. I came after work for a pedicure and they got us in quick. Very friendly but they were pushing me to get gel for my daughter's mani pedi. I told them no multiple times. Pushed so much i ended up okaying gel on her nails. For my pedicure i got gel. Picked the same green color as my daughters. My toenails were all different shapes and sizes. While i was looking at them the lady rushed me to put the paraffin wax on my feet. Once they were done the color was very splotchy, nails were slanted not straight, and gel paint was all over my skin. I asked nicely to make them straight but the lady was not understanding me and saying they were straight. They offered to fix but at that point it was too late and i had to get going. I called to get them fixed the next day because the gel polish was literally getting stuck on my socks. I came back to get them redone i asked to not cut at all because i like my toenails with a bit length. He ended up filing them down very short and the nails were still not straight. I had to file one myself because he couldn't get it straight. Color did look better but my toes literally hurt from being filed so much. One big toe is longer than the other and they're still not straight. Will not be coming back. read more

Vip Nails - Highly recommend - Nail Salons Near Me - Woodland, California

Visited here because I was in the area and it looked clean. Asked for a simple manicure and was helped quickly. The manicure was not thorough. Felt like my cuticles and nails were being patted and prodded but not actually cared for. And then I was forced to pay before my nails were finished. I highly dislike that. It's insulting. And the simple no color manicure was $25! The cost did not match the service. I truly felt robbed. I will never be back. read more

I never write negative reviews, but I feel really disappointed by my experience with VIP nails. I always go to VIP nails for my acrylics, and try to book with Nina because she is a good listener and very talented. Yesterday, Nina was not available, so me and two friends went for manicures and pedicures and we all walked away disappointed for different reasons. First of all, my pedicure was incredibly painful. I was burned by scalding hot water, and then the lady doing my pedicure scrubbed me until I bled in multiple places. My nails also have cuts on basically every finger, which has never been an issue for me before. Both my friends and I were dissatisfied with the outcome of our manicures, as none of the women doing our nails listened to what we wanted. We got these mani-pedis in preparation for my big birthday trip in a few days and I'm really sad that I'm not only cut up, but left with sub-par nails. I'm sad to say I won't be returning :( read more

I went in with my mother requested a fill and full set. I was seated immediately no time to even look a colors although my mother had to wait. The person who did my nails was really good, although did cut my finger a little. My nails ended up really pretty. The little kid massage chairs are so cute. Definitely coming back here for more intricate designs. read more

Very pleased with this salon First time getting dip with extensions and couldn't be happy with the outcome! - on my end my worker was very sweet and patient. The only thing is I would not recommend getting the man at the salon to get your nails done- my mom had him and he was not understanding and very rude & my mom had to get her nails done by another worker who was very sweet and fixed her up. But the man did not listen to my moms opinion on what she wanted and did rush her pedicure. We will be back but if we have to wait for another worker to not get the man we will. read more

Yesterday my daughter and I went to get a pedicure and the person in charge started offering me some extra for my nails. I don't even know what she put on my toenails, but I do know that she was kind enough to increase the price since they only painted my daughter's nails and this afternoon the paint on her fingernails fell off and they cut a piece of skin off my toe and what I realized was that a lady also came and she did show her the menu and the cost of her services but not me. What a terrible experience. read more

I gave this place one more try hoping they would improve if I switched who did my nails. Once I told her I wanted only the basic pedicure she was not as nice. Then when I got home I took a closer look and noticed that instead of pushing back the cuticles and removing dead skin she painted over the top of the cuticle. I did not bother to go back and complain but want to make sure others can see the shoddy work done on my nails. read more

A few things have changed since my last visit to VIP nails 8 months ago, among them were: new decor, change in form of payment (cash only now; they stopped accepting debit/credit) and raised prices I think the only thing that has not changed was the manicurist with the social faux pas who took care of my manicure once again read more

I don't understand how this is a fill, my nail beds are still there. The acyclic isn't brought up to my cuticle. All I asked for was short, square and chrome. Lady was hurting me so bad throughout the whole time, I kept explaining to her that. She ignored and continued. When I was done, she called next client. When I called to make the appointment, they said it was okay to come in at 4:30p. If I knew it would have been "busy" and they "didn't " know that and that they had other "waiting" customers, I would have not scheduled an appointment. All they want is Sales. I requested to ask to speak to the manager but she was busy. I didn't get the chrome nails, or waxing because I wanted her to stop hurting me and I knew it was just rushing. I live 35 minutes away and thought I should try out a new spot. Not coming back. Would not recommend, they only want sales. read more

Love this place. Since the first time I visited till years later when I drop in a totally feel VIP. They all know their stuff and my nails come out perfectly no matter who does them...(even tho I do have a fave who I request when I plan a trip there) they are amazing at all things from kids/adult pedicures to kid/adult acrylic nails. Both my 10 year old nor I ever leave feeling rushed or unsatisfied! They really do make you feel at home why your there. They offer water always. I live in woodland and have tired many nail/pedicure places. Since they opened I have went to them. I had heard that they are super customer service oriented and make you feel very welcome. It's sooo true.... I always get compliments on my nails, and feel so much more feminine when I have them done. I definitely love being girly girly. You will not regret stopping in to give them a try...believe me you will be a life long customer if you do because you feel so welcomed and when you leave you feel so pretty!! read more

I highly recommend this place for kids ! I took my 5 year old daughter and she definitely had the royal treatment. They actually took their time shaping and cleaning her nails as well as painting them . They also took their time with her pedicure massaging her little feet . They have pedicure chairs just for kids too . Will definitely be taking my daughter here again . read more

Nice salon ambiance. They have lots of pedi chairs and even two smaller ones for the little ones who want to have a spa day as well. Michael did my nails and did a great job! They were the length I wanted and he did them thin. I'm not a fan of thick acrylics, and he read my mind! I didn't even have to tell him. My full set with gel was $41. They charge a $1 fee for cards. TL;DR. I tried to go to another nail salon, but it was closed by 6pm. I looked on Yelp and it took me to this nail salon. I was hesitant since it was already late as I went after I got off work. There were about five employees left and three were busy with clients. Two of them were cleaning up shop. Everyone was with a client when I walked in. While I sat, I picked out a gel color that I wanted. Michael called me over to his station. I told him what color I wanted and he set everything up. I told him I wanted a shorter nail, something I can work with at work, and coffin-ish rounded shape. He was great! He did his thing and thankgoodness did not load up on the acrylic. I like mine to look more simple and natural without that acrylic budge when my nails grow. Overall, it was speedy nail session. A lot quicker than most salons that I've been to. I really appreciated that they took me in last minute. I would definitely come in again if I'm in the area and recommend this place to others. read more

Dr. Oz recently had an investigation of nail salons, high and low-end for feet health hazards and I have to say that I am happy to report that this nail salon gets an A grade. 1. Jet tub, protected with plastic, and cleaned after each customer, check; 2. New utensils per customer, check; 3. Cuticles pushed up and not trimmed, check! Tons of pedi and mani chairs, very clean, big, and very relaxing. I am not a Woodland resident, but I am going to make this my go-to nail spot, because no other salon that I have been too has passed the Oz test, and neither should you! Oh yeah, I was so intrigued at their level of health efficiency, I almost left out they have 3 pedi services to choose from at $25, $30, and $35. I had the 30 pedi, and the hot rock massage was nice. I will be sure to update when I have had other services. Also good to know before you head here is tips in cash is appreciated! read more

Leaving one star because I have to in order to leave this comment first things first I call to go in and get a soak off and full set they say they aren't busy to come in . I go in with my fiancé and daughter , as we walk in they greet us nicely and tell me to "sit at # 9" I go over and sit in the chair where I was literally not even greeted she just said "show me what chu want " so I did when I showed her the first picture she said she couldn't do it ( I will post all pics ) . I then proceeded to smile back and then I said "okay one sec let me find something different " I showed her the next pic again she told me she could not do that either . After showing this lady 4 different pics all just to be told she could not do what I wanted I said "okay look why don't I just get a long coffin and I'll pick a gel color with no designs or stones at all ..?.." she said okay and then started to take my old set of nails off ( I had a set on before that had already been filled like 5 different times my real underneath was long) she first clipped them short then tried to use another nail to rip them off (f***ing hurt like hell) I was in pain and told her "it hurts !" Then I suggested soaking them off ‍(don't know why I'm telling this lady how to do her damn job and on top of everything I'm slowly but surely getting more and more upset ) she then says "okay " and get the stuff to soak it off .(FASTFORWARD) the filing omg the mf filing ..... I have no words for this lady besides why .... why even continue ? Like honestly you done told me you couldnt do any of the pictures shown then hurt me while trying to pry my old set off my damn hands with another nail tip ‍ I told you you need to soak my nails off now we get to filing and you want to drill all the way down my nail beds ... me being me I was frustrated and tired (i work 6 days a week) Not only that I had no other time to get my nails done and she was already mid way thru taking my old set off I just let her continue.... idk why y'all I feel dumb myself typing this sh*t out but okay after allllll that these ladies start basically not even giving my fiancé the option to say no they start trying to force my fiancé to get a damn pedicure .... they even started the water for him and everything and played coco melon on the speakers for my baby even after we both kindly declined and told them we where just there for me ..... finally they stop and accept our decline .. back to me and this lady doing my nails she starts the new set and puts a thick layer of acrylic on each nail ( mind YALL I'm a mom and I have a VERY busy 18 month old she's a runner ‍ so I'm barely paying attention to what she's doing because I'm to busy trying to help dad get ahold of baby ) I slowly start filling a burning sensation on my nails and it was literally hot to the touch I was like omg it's got why does it burn I've never had this happen before she tells me it's normal sometimes that happens I was like uhhhhhhh ok ? I'm over here waving and blowing on my damn nails and again me being me as she's doing my nails i lookup why is it burning it says something about a chemical reaction when they use to much primer with monomer. In my head I'm like this lady ‍‍‍ . Anyways it's time to file again and y'all let's just say I did not get coffin I don't know wtf I got I just know I was sooooooo upset I was shaking and I was like you know what I'm just going to pay for whatever this is and I have to go I'm running late to an appointment ( I lied I was just trying to get tf out of there at that point my daughter was getting sleepy and fussy and we got there at around 4:30-5pmish and didn't leave until 6:30 and that's just because I was like like okay time to go ) .... I should've just walked out tbh and I should've payed sh*t after what I was put through but again I was being wayyyy to f*cking nice and y'all .. why she charge me $50 . I payed $50 for nothing but straight bs ... I'm so irritated I'm disappointed because I thought I was in good hands and Uhhhh uhh I was in for a sh*t show . I will NOT being going there for any kind of service of any kind . Y'all need to hire nail techs that can do nails and designs because it was ridiculous and my time there was disrespectful. read more

Since my previous review, I have been to another nail salon in Woodland and one in Davis. A ridiculously long story short, I have returned to having acrylic tips with gel for now. They are stronger than dip powder nails are. Dips are attractive because they're very thin, but they break easily, at least on me. I did return to VIP for another pedi (excellent - 5 stars) and for a manicure. I made an appointment with Nina this time, rather than just walking in and seeing whoever was available. Nina did my tips the old-fashioned tried-and-true way (brush that she used to apply the acrylic). The work she did was meticulous and turned out absolutely excellent. I will return to her for mani services again. If her work next time is as good as this time was, I'll give VIP 5 stars. (I will see only Nina at VIP for mani work; the other techs have given me very sloppy manicures. I did see a young guy with tattoos who looked to be doing an excellent mani, but I have not worked with him.) Oh- I will mention that the work I had done was a bit pricey. Tips and French gel mani = $55 + tip. read more

It took me awhile to find a nail spot in the greater Sacramento area, two years to be exact. I am so glad I found this spot. They have lots of chairs and staff, lots of options for services (I have only done nails but they have other stuff), and reasonable prices. I have yet to have a bad experience here, fingers crossed, and I have been visited at least 10 times. They have a stamp card for $12 off your 11th visit (it may be 12th, I can't recall) that is totally worth it. The pedicures are divine, I have to come here at least once a month to keep my feet looking pretty. The staff is friendly, efficient, and thorough. They don't try to up-sell you on anything. Also, they have cute kids chairs for children pedicures. Nowhere is perfect, so I don't want to get your expectations too high, but I love this place and their staff is more nice and more thorough than anywhere else I have been. read more
