The service here is ridiculous. Made an appointment THREE DAYS in advance just to come in and they can't do the nails we chose. They only have one person who can do designs per the front desk girl. If I had known this I would've made sure to book her OR just not booked at all. The front desk needs to explain this to the customers because I know this isn't the first time this has happened. Also if you're booking to get your fingernails done they don't ask if you want a full set or just a basic manicure and they will just book you as a manicure. This definitely could have been avoided especially since I literally asked just to made sure we were all set before hand and they specifically told me we were all good. I won't be back and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. If I could rate them a 0 I would. Thanks for messing up my Mother's Day gift!!! read more

I went to get a regular fill. made modifications for the nail tech because she was unable to match the acrylic. The acrylic is so uneven and the design of the nail is hideous I will never go back again and will never recommend this place. I paid more than a regular fill should have been and I'm now having to pay extra to have a different nail technician from a different salon to fix them. read more

My nail tech smelled very strongly of smoke as well which just made for an unpleasant experience overall. Extremely rude! I called and asked when I should come in for a nail repair and was told to come around 6 PM. The woman at the front started asking me questions, loudly, and before she even saw my one nail that needed repair, I could tell that she was not going to wait on me or let anyone else in the shop. Her excuse is that they could not match the color because all nail shops have different colors and different brands. That is a bold face lie. And, if she was a good business owner, she would have talked me into changing color for all of my nails or a fill, or even a full set. I would've been glad to come back for an appointment for that, but I would not wish my worst enemy's dog to go there and be treated so shabbily! So embarrassed and humiliated that I cried. If they leave her in the front, the business will go out soon! I was looking for another nail shop and I spend over $100 a month on my nails. I used to come here all the time for their pedicures so since I was back in town and needed a refill I came here. I won't ever return since their techs get so angry when THEY mess up YOUR nails that YOU pay for. The shape was already there and done well by my Houston nail tech but this VIP Nails tech ruined them by filing down the edges of my natural nails making them skinnier and less wide in width. The lengths are not the same and the shape and thickness are hideous. I should have just refused to pay and got it all taken off but I was so fed up from three of them trying to argue with me I just paid and left. I then sent photos of my effed up refill to my Houston stylist so she can see first hand why I decide to drive two hours and pay her $75 to actually leave with what I asked for. I could have done better than this buying the stuff at Sally's. Lufkin nail shops need to learn to listen and deliver rather than arguing and lying to customers. They also need to stop using random untrained people as their techs. Thanks VIP Nails of Lufkin for ruining the foundation of my natural nails and treating me as if I'm stupid when I simply asked for the same shape I came in with. Y'all owe me a refund for the crap service and a the price of a new set of nails at a salon who cares. read more

Don't let that "4star" rating fool you. I was visiting from out of town and was very DISAPPOINTED!! I was a walk in and I wanted a regular pedicure. What I got was a unprofessional rush job. Everything about my pedicure was rushed. It was not quality service! The service was extremely fast which led to a terrible paint job. I got the basic pedicure and it only took about 25 minutes, which is fine. But when I got done and back to the house I looked at my toes and the nail polish is extremely messy and uneven. Just because it has 4 stars means it's QUALITY service. So glad we stopped by this place when another salon was on a long wait. The staff was friendly as soon as we walked in. I was with my best friend to get her nails done for her wedding, I got a pedicure. She never gets her nails done but they advised her on what kind of nails to get and made her feel comfortable and offered drinks. I don't get pedicures because I'm very ticklish but the tech was very patient and SHE apologized whenever I giggled. So unnecessary and so kind. The hot stones, hot towels, and massage were the cherry on top. Plus she was very speedy and the pedicure came out so beautiful. The entire service was so enjoyable and so was the staff. Don't look anywhere else, give this place a chance. read more

I give 4 stars for staff friendliness. This staff makes you feel welcome, they are warm and inviting. I stopped going to salons years all yet I saw the "best in Lufkin" sticker and spontaneously went in for a French manicure. If you prefer natural nail care this may not be your salon. The tech filed the top of my nails, and this damages the nail. I hate conflict so I just waited patiently praying that my nails grow out fast, which I'm sure they will. However I won't go back. Yet, if you like acrylic, overlays, or shilac this salon is definitely worth a try. The prices are about the same as other shops. read more

I had never been to a nail shop in Lufkin before, so I looked up some reviews and decided to try this one out. I went in to have my eyebrows waxed and only had to wait 5 minutes. The woman who did them, (I wish I would have got her name) was SO friendly & did amazing on them. Will definitely go back again! Nail tech came from the back with an attitude. Nails weren't buffed enough or smooth. Charged me $40 for dip and I will not be returning.

Not a place I will be returning to. My nails were cut too short and the polish did not dry by the time I left. Of course I didn't discover this until after I was asked for payment and reached in my purse for my wallet. The gentleman then acted like it was my fault the color job was ruined, was not happy when I asked him if he could fix it. I was even willing to pay for his extra time. He said he didn't have time so I just asked him to remove the color. He did, in a hurry and I left with polish all over my fingers and streaks clear coated over on what little nails I had left.
