    Toscana Business Lounge

Toscana Business Lounge is available for all the airlines which fly In and Out of Florence/Firenza. We came here early with our traveling companions and both the food offerings and ticket services were perfect. It may not be the largest Lounge, but is very well appointed and the folks who work here work very hard anticipating your needs.

I am impressed this tiny airport has a lounge but probably one of the most underwhelming international lounges I have been to. The ambiance is somewhat jigsaw like space which made the lounge feel small and cramped. There were decent amount of food options from salads, cereal, baguette sandwiches. The coffee machine was pretty solid and can dispense several types of coffee. Everything was self severed which kinda was a mess when the doors opened and everyone was trying to get food and drinks.

As others have noted it's your basic airport lounge the food choices are fairly basic but plentiful and the automated coffee machines made a decent cappuccino it was morning so mostly pastries and some savory options

Pretty basic airport lounge. We got in via my priority pass membership. The lounge isn't very big. But its better then sitting in the main airport terminal imo. Food options are fairly limited. Some pre packaged sandwiches and salads. Fruit cups and yogurt. There was a fair amount of pastries and breads. Some cheap well quality liquor and some wine and champagne. Since we got in for free anyways I think it's fine. I'm not sure I would spend money to get in if it wasn't for priority pass. But since it's the only lounge in the airport it's usable. Staff is friendly enough.

It had frosted glass sliding doors but then we walked too far and i was like nah, let me go ask in there if they know where it's at. I went in and the ladies said I had found it :) So just know it's the lounge w/the frosted glass sliding doors, and it's also the only lounge at the airport. It was pretty empty when we arrived around 7AM. It had coffee, tea, and an assortment of pastries, lots of beverages (Schwepps, Coke, etc.) , cereals, yogurts. I wish they offered fresh fruit like oranges, apples, or bananas. enough seating and TVs. Restrooms were inside the lounge so that was nice we didn't have to exit. They were also clean.

They had a decent selection of packaged snacks (crackers, etc). They have 2 coffee machines, tea, and packaged sandwiches in a refrigerator. Nothing special about this place but it's fine for a drink or a snack. They have a lot of plugs to charge your devices which is nice, and I thought there was enough seating. Nothing fancy here - pretty basic lounge but given the other food selection in Terminal A, they at least have a good variety of snacks to choose from and little cookies/pastries if you have a sweet tooth.

I shared one but customs took my 2nd one w the mortella. The plane seats are so small and crowded there was no way I could pull out my giant sandwich and start eating it on the plane. I decided to visit Florence first, mostly because there are no direct flights from NY to FLR and I wanted to get the longer/layover trip out of the way first. After a quick pit stop in AMS, I finally reached my destination in FLR. After landing, I could definitely see why there are no direct flights from the US (maybe?) here - FLR is a pretty small airport. Because our flight was short, we actually boarded and exited the plane on the tarmac and after a short bus ride were shuffled to baggage claim. Everything was really efficient - I didn't interact with many staff members but the bags came quickly. In terms of aesthetics, FLR seems kinda dated/tired - but if you can look past that it has all the amenities that make it a good airport. Clear signs, speedy service, and a rail just outside arrivals that leads you to the city center. Overall, nothing outstanding about FLR from my perspective but also nothing negative - it got me out of the plane and to my destination quickly which I all I can really ask for.

There were a lot of affordable hotels near the train station (which is within walking distance to the Square) so figured it would be an easy walk for our flight to London. It ended up being easier to just take a taxi, with a flat rate of 10,7€. We didn't need to check bags, so headed for security. It took us about 45 minutes to get through security (standard x-ray and luggage checks). A common thing about European airports and train stations is that they don't announce the gate of your departure until at most 60 minutes before scheduled. This was the case for this as well, though experienced travelers knew it would be beyond Immigration control. Sure enough we were told Gate 23, and we went through passport control to leave the EU (just a visual check and stamp from an officer). There is a common waiting area for all international flights, and not much available in terms of food. Since we don't have status with British Airways, figured it might be rough finding overhead space (plus our bags are the US regulations which are technically a couple cm over the length limit). But nobody made a big deal of it (and we made sure the each of us had only two carry-ons plus our coats). We were able to find space before our seats in row 22 (though one of our bags we had to fit sideways since the older Airbus planes don't have the longest bins). We took off about 30 minutes late, and had a uneventful 105 minute flight to Heathrow. The tickets were about 55£ one-way per passenger, which was quite a bit cheaper than the trains we took to get to Italy.
