Attended restaurant: August 13th, 2022. First of all food and drinks were great, but we can't help but feel cheated out of money for reserving a table. When you reserve a table online (even just for two people), you pay 35€ per person. You'll be charged that amount if you don't show up. However, if you do show up, you are still charged the 35€. Sure, you get a drink for "free," but most drinks are ~20€ So that's a 15€ deficit. So my friend and I paid a total 30€ extra for our already overpriced drinks (although they were good). 30€ is not something to scoff at. The staff didn't even know of my reservations' existence when I arrived. I was the one who told them for fear I would be charged the 70€ For nothing in return. There were so many walk-in couples who didn't have to pay that ridiculous fee. I feel like you shouldn't punish people for reserving a spot ahead of time and for giving staff a chance to prepare (not that they were). The food on the menu wasn't even avalible because they switch to a snack menu at a specific time and don't tell you until you're boarding the elevator.

    Awe-inspiring view of the sunset.

I visited on a Sunday night looking for a pre-dinner cocktail with a view. This place delivered. The rooftop was at capacity when I arrived but the hostess was very polite and the wait was under 10mins. They made an excellent Negroni classico (although overpriced at €18) and the sunset was unreal. I can't recommend this spot enough for the view alone. Highly recommend 5/5.

Easily one of the best rooftop experiences in Florence. You'll find the entrance at the foot of the Ponte Vecchio just roll into the front door of the Continental hotel, the elevator is straight ahead take it to the roof. The space is small so the pro tip is to go right when it opens... mid afternoon... or after dinner... otherwise you could experience a wait. Once in, the place has some chill house music rolling, a small menu of beer and wine along with a full bar... and some of the best views Florence has to offer. It's small but classy comfortable and a great place to start or end your day at. There is no food, but they do bring you chips, nuts, etc. when you order your drinks.

View from the roof, looking into the heart of the city.

Then they made us sit at a tiny awkward table in the corner due to missing the reservation time. Again, this is while the entire room and all normal tables were empty. Only a couple of people arrived over the next hour. The atmosphere was very cool and the drinks were strong and delicious but 24 Euros each. Mixed experience for sure. We probably would have loved it and stayed longer had they just given us one of the many empty normal tables instead of punishing us for no reason.

Lit almost entirely by candle light and furnished with antique furniture, this lounge is warm and intimate. You almost get the feeling that you've stepped into a 20's era cult gathering. Perfect for a date night or small get together. The cocktail selection includes some of the most intriguing and exotic ingredients you'll find in a drink, from soy sauce and Jerk Spice Seasoning to yoghurt and black pepper. They are primarily a whiskey bar but their cocktails run the gamut when it comes to spirit selections. If you find yourself passing through Florence you absolutely HAVE TO find time for even just one of these unique concoctions.

We tried a couple of the others but this was our favourite. The staff here are friendly and have such a great sense of humor. They were definitely a huge part of our good experience. Thier choice in music was sensastional as well. The semi industrial look of the inside blends well with the exposes brick walls and the comic printing plates decorating where we sat. I got the lasanga, which was perfect. The cheese is so creamy with the contrast of the tart tomato sauce- I couldn't stop taking a bite when it was fresh from the oven, risking burns. Of the dishes my family ordered the other stand out was the carbonara. I cannot find words to describe how good the sauce was. Anyways it was such an experience that I'm writing this while wating for breakfast at Nostrale.

A taste of the states in Florence, Italy…read more Believe it or not, when you're traveling in Italy for 12 days and pretty much only drinking prosecco and aperol spritz's this was a WELCOME change of pace. P.S. if you didn't know, cocktail culture in Italy is not a thing. This was one of the ONLY cocktail bars we stumbled upon during our trip and the atmosphere brought us in from the street. The atmosphere is hipster, retro, memorable and fun! The cocktail list is TO DIE FOR. The owner who was serving us, spent two years in the states mastering the art to bring it back. The list was super creative and well balanced for the season and heat. I opted for a cocktail with fresh squeed Grapefruit, Gin, fresh JUNIPER BERRIES, rosemary and elderflower tonic. It was served in a giant wine glass with ice and they give you the tonic on the side so you can make it as strong as you want. I thought this presentation was lovely, whimsical and fun. The cocktail was one of the best I've ever had and that is saying A LOT. Since I've been back I cannot stop thinking about it. For my second I got a blackberry, sage drink. It was good, but not nearly as memorable as the first. The hubs got an aperol spritz again, and to finish we got some sparkling rose - perfect for a hot night. We just did not want to leave this place! The service, the quality, the atmosphere. This place is killer!
