Prettiest drinks in all Florence :3
    EE I.

First of all, the entire staff is ultra friendly and outgoing, and they make everyone feel comfortable and welcomed, regardless if you come here alone or with friends. I do speak from personal experience, as the first few times that I came here I was on my own. Second, the cocktails here are above the average, as they always invest a lot of attention to detail by adding all kinds of fruit and cute decorations to your drinks. Love it! Third, location, location, location.. This place is situated in one of the top main areas in Florence (just 2 min away from Piazza Santa Croce) at the corner between Via Ghibbellina and Via Verdi, surrounded by many other quality restaurants and bars. The music is very nice, and toward the late hours this place turns into a semi-club where you can also dance. There's also a very cute outdoor seating area with comfortable chairs, where if you want, you are also allowed to smoke. And last but not least, the main attraction of this place are the 2 really handsome and highly talented bartenders Marco & Paolo, who also happen to be identical twins (it can get tricky to guess which one is which, haha..). Their vibrant personality really adds a unique touch to the overall experience that this special place has to offer. Personally, I most highly recommend this place to everyone. You won't be disappointed :)

Amazing beverages! (This one has no name, but it's crazy good!)

I've been here early in the night when it is very "chill", you can have a conversation inside. I've also been late at night when it is packed with people inside & out (but not too bad inside, most people were outside), DJ bumpin'...fun times! I was very surprised no one was dancing. The drinks are amazing, just tell them what base you want & let them create something magical (see my pic). They have beer on tap & full bar. I'm a fan & will return.

Lit almost entirely by candle light and furnished with antique furniture, this lounge is warm and intimate. You almost get the feeling that you've stepped into a 20's era cult gathering. Servers were super nice. Be sure to read the house rules in the menu to be respectful (like limiting photos). I wish that our seats weren't in such an awkward place (next to shelves of whiskey bottles without a real table or bar), but overall, a unique spot that's a nice escape from the crowds.

If that's your scene then by all means, drop on by. I do have to say this though. You will wait for your drink. Only 1 bartender and the orders stack up. Even for a small place, the service is slow. But, if you just relax, enjoy the scenery, do a little people watching, there's no problem at all. None whatsoever.

Then after confirming everything, it then stated in the confirmation email that this was €35 PER PERSON. Nowhere did it say per person prior, in fact I went back and took screenshots of the site to make sure after I saw this. That means your €21 (or so) cocktails cost us €35, which logically makes absolutely no sense at all. This definitely felt really shady. I even asked the server about the €35 deposit and he said it would go towards the first round, not that it is the PRICE of a first round. A reservation is required and that reservation requires the first cocktail to be significantly more expensive that the menu price. The service and drinks were impeccable, it's a shame this really unclear and shady practice is what keeps me from giving a 5 star review.

We spent two nights at Hotel Lungarno and enjoyed two nightcaps and two breakfasts at Picteau…read moreduring our stay. I didn't even know the name of the place until I looked it up. I guess it's a well regarded restaurant in its own right, but it was also just a good, useful hotel lobby lounge. The space was attractive, like the rest of the hotel, with a clean, pleasing contemporary look. White walls, blue and white upholstery, brown leather. Wide windows overlooking the Arno. It was nice as both a bar in the evening and a casual breakfast spot in the morning, very relaxing with great service. Cocktails were excellent, creative and well made. On the light side, I liked both the Basil and the Conte di Picche. The Basil was a cool, herbal drink with Portofino dry gin, Persichetto liqueur, basil-infused Martini Ambrato, rhubarb Nardini, Fernet Branca, and lime cordial. The Conte di Picche mixed Winestillery Old Tom gin with a Nardini bitter blend and raspberry wine. On the stronger side, the Smoked Boulevardier was a boozy, balanced cocktail made with Michter's Kentucky bourbon, Campari, Carpano Antica, and Toro Ratafia. The Cocoa combined Michter's bourbon with Michter's rye, Roger amaro, Pedro Ximenez San Emilio, and cocoa beans. Smooth and tasty. Breakfast was included with our stay, and we took advantage of both the buffet and the basic a la carte menu. The buffet was small but with all the essentials and more than a few extras. Good soft scrambled eggs and sausage, little poppy seed rolls piled with smoked salmon and basil. I'm not much of a pastry person, but I couldn't resist a fluffy cream-filled maritozzo, which went beautifully with the house cappuccino, thick with milk foam. The kitchen menu was short and simple: oatmeal, various preparations of eggs, and omelets with a choice of fillings. I got one with sausage, spinach, and mushroom, and it was quite satisfying. I liked Picteau enough that I'd recommend it to anyone traveling through Florence, whether or not they're staying at Hotel Lungarno. I especially liked it, though, as a guest. Just a lovely spot to roll in for breakfast or an easy drink.

BLUF: a truly 5-star dining experience in a beautiful setting…read more We went to Picteau restaurant for our final dinner in Italy, and are glad we did. it is located in the Lungarno hotel. If you are going to dine there, be sure to make a reservation and if the weather is nice request a patio table. The patio is small, but it's a great experience to be out there overlooking the river while you eat. Service is both friendly and top-notch. Waiter seemed to know the right time to come to the table w/o being obtrusive, and kept the meal flowing all along. The food was exquisite. One thing to know is that the starters are big enough for two. We didn't know that so we got two. The first was a caprese salad, which came with a chunk of buffalo mozzarella the size of a softball, creamy and delicious. It also had orange and red cherry tomatoes, which were sweet as they were but came in a delicious italian herb dressing. The other starter was beef carpaccio, which came on a bed of arugula and covered with parmesan slices. The meat was perfectly seasoned and tender, the best carpaccio I've ever had. For the main entree we both got the same thing, burrata ravioli in zuchini and saffron cream. OMG, it was great. If it wasn't such a fine restaurant I would've licked my plate clean. For dessert we shared something called a Bongo, which was custard filled bigne with cocoa and espresso sprinkled on it, along with some ice cream. Really delicious This place is not cheap, but if you are on a budget and planning one "big dinner" night, do it here.
