    Nobile Pizza
    Jason M.

My brother is a beer drinker, so when researching places to visit in Firenze he bookmarked a couple of breweries and beer bars. Move On was one of these spots, and after a day of exploring we decided to stop here before heading to dinner. Move On is centrally located in a prime location within the Piazza San Giovanni. As with most restaurants in the area they have outdoor seating, but we decided to sit indoors. The interior was giving a typical casual bar/restaurant feel - mostly medium wood tones, a bar in the center of the room, and a combination of booths and high tops along the perimeter. There were a few televisions on, and of particular note there was a record store in the back - I didn't explore it and in hindsight should have. The menu had typical bar food - we didn't want to have anything too heavy so we decided to split a pizza. The Nobile looked good - it had arugula, prosciutto, and shards of parmesan with marinara sauce as the base. The pizza was pretty good - thin crust and the flavors worked well together; nothing was too overpowering. Service was fine, nothing too outstanding in my opinion but it also wasn't bad. Overall, we had a good time at Move On, but I wouldn't call it anything too noteworthy - this may sound touristy of me but it reminded me too much of places at home. I would likely skip it the next time I'm in Firenze.

Wife and I stopped here to grab a couple drinks, and catch the views before heading back to get ready for dinner. We sat down and was promptly given menus. However. Our server, or a server was chitchatting with a couple, talking about how people have been mean all day, how they have been great, for what seemed like forever. Wife and I decided to leave since it seemed like we weren't going to be able to get our drink order in anytime soon. We moved on.

What a hidden gem ! Sat here several times so I can gaze upon The Duomo. Sat inside one day and WOW! It's got the BEST VIEW from its balconies . Super cool record store inside with photos of iconic artist. The zucchini flowers were amazing and so were the aperols . Thank you Move On for your great service and beautiful views ! Ciao !

Burger, the actual burger is much lighter in color and an odd texture compared to American beef

Nice location for outdoor lunch seating in city center. I hadn't seen salmon on a menu since our arrival in Italy days ago, so was excited to be able to have baked salmon! Hit the spot! Not terrible on price for being in city center high tourist area. The burger looked way tastier than it was. The smoked cheese was the best part! Wouldn't order a burger anywhere in Italy, myself, but my husband has a couple of times and none have been satisfactory for his tastes. When in Rome... do as the Romans do (eat local cuisine in Italy)!

So I saw this place when I first got to Florence and wasn't going to hit it up because there was an Irish Pub next door. The outdoor seating was to packed for my liking so I gave these guys a try. The Moscow Mules were on point. The Cheeseburger hit the spot and I was good to go. The only weird spot for me is when I was paying they asked if I wanted to tip. It weirded me out because tipping is not a thing in Italy. Maybe he felt he could get over on me, since I am obviously an American and paying by card or ppl have been tipping them. IDK but it left me feeling a bit weird. Oh I forgot to mention. This place is situated right next to the Baptistery, the Cathedral, and the bell tower. Views that can't be beat.

This is a beautiful restaurant in the heart of the city. The food was incredible, the views were amazing. Wish I had more time to check out the record part of the store. Super cool vibes!

Ravioli was good. Cute little place in the square by the Baptistry. Great views. Nice server and quick to bring out food and drinks.

Pizza here was DELICIOUS! I love the crispy thin crust and the saucy sauce on the pizza. The $8 euro margherita pizza was my favorite with giant gobs of mozzerella cheese on top. The fries were very good, also. Glass of wine here is about $6 euros. There was a $2 euro cover charge Outside seating at this restaurant has a great view of Baptistery of St. John. ....| \ _ , , , - - , , _ , .../ , ` . - ' ` ' . _ \ - ; ; ; , _ ..| , a - ) ) _ . ; . Great place for cocktails outside, taking in the piazza action! Nice server and excellent beverages.

I just arrived in Firenze yesterday with the FSU International Program. This restaurant/bar gave me the warmest of welcomes. The service is outstanding and attentive. The food was delicious and the wine even better! The upstairs of the restaurant/bar features a record store and lounge area that is perfect to relax and enjoy a glass of wine while admiring the Duomo's (Florence Cathedral) architecture through the windows. Highly recommend this place for your first night in Florence!

    Unfiltered beer 5€

I've never tried the food but this is the best possible place for a drink near the Duomo -- try the unfiltered beer (pictured), I promised it's one of the best beers you'll ever have!

Pricey but what is not. Good service. Great cheesecake. It's wonderful to sit outside looking at the baptistery

I have to echo the words of other Yelpers when I say that I cannot stress enough how unique and authentic this place is for Firenze. Move On is an oasis in the sea that can be the city, especially since it's located in a touristy area. Located across from the cathedral and piazza del duomo, Move On is a restaurant or record store, or both depending on your needs. The downstairs and entrance hosts the restaurant and bar section. Think of the restaurant as an Italian version of a gastropub. Featured food includes pasta dishes, gourmet burgers, antipasti, sandwiches, and sides like their fried polenta sticks. The full bar includes some really good wines, spirits, and an impressive selection of Italian craft beers on tap and bottled beer. Beer can be ordered in three different sizes for the budget conscious. They also serve coffee and numerous desserts. For dinner I tried their ricotta and spinach stuffed ravioli. Each bite was delightful, the pasta pillowy, and the sauce a great finish on your palate. An entire basket of bread was complementary with my meal. I washed it down with a Christmas beer on tap, which was done in a dobblebock style. The beer isn't the cheapest (€7.50 a pint, €10 a litre), which is not uncommon for the immediate area. My wife had eaten earlier, so she went with the Tiramisu, which was definitely a favorite for her. Our waiter was very friendly, attentive, and gave us a Move On wristband after we paid our bill. The restaurant is decorated with shadowbox/window displays full of music merchandise and memorabilia. A DJ upstairs plays a variety of music piped down into the pub. During our visit, the Sharon Jones Ans the Dap Kings Christmas album was playing. This is a great segue into the next part of Move On, the record store. To reach the store, one must exit the back of the restaurant and climb one flight of stairs. Along the way, rock posters line the hallway and staircase. The record store itself is very well done. There is a diverse selection of brand new vinyl, set at very expensive prices typical of Europe. If you are a vinyl fan, come here for the used section, which has a ton of rare and 1st pressing copies of music from the 60's, 70's, and 80's at very reasonable prices. The biggest problem you'll find is choosing an LP to buy from the sizable selection. If you like great food, great beer, and great music, you'll be hard pressed to find other shop like this that so expertly caters to multiple interests.
