Avoid at all costs. Charles is the owner, and sole…read moreproprietor of this shady establishment. I am sure that he will go "above and beyond" for you, as stated numerous times in my phone calls with him. After a week of assuring me that he had the interlock device, and day after day of excuses as to why he doesn't actually have any in stock, we finally made an appointment where he said "he/they" would be there. 10am arrives and we show up to get the device installed. CHARLES is no longer operating out of this location. So then we go to the other location as advised by the people in the shop next to his. Now at the new location, and the new people say he moved from there too. After several missed calls/texts/ and voicemails, Charles answers the phone hungover and drunk at 10:20am telling me that he just needs to shower and then he will be there. ARE YOU SERIOUS. ARE YOU MENTAL??? Who operates a business like this!? This should be all you need to know about how fun it is to deal with Charles and this "company". IF YOU SEE THE NUMBER 916-275-2292, or the name CHARLES, attached to any interlock service, just know that he's a total waste of time, and if the companies name is different than "California Ignition Interlock" it's because he constantly has to change locations and business names to avoid his awful reputation. Thanks for the huge waste of time!

Don't judge me! It's all over with now thanks to the staff at Cii and Charles the owner. They made…read moreme feel less like a degenerate and more like a human. Overall price wise and service can not be matched, albeit I hope those of you out there never need it. In my humble opinion Charles and his team made the experience as best as it could be. Not that this guy will be visiting this place again, ever. Best of luck!

TL;DR: Great service in helping troubleshoot a defective car alarm, and replacing it with a new…read moreone. We have an old car. Its initial after-market alarm system broke, and we had a replacement system installed towards the end of September. Once I got home, it started to exhibit a mysterious problem of constantly arming & disarming (thus locking & unlocking) on its own. It seemed to happen while parked in our garage for the most part (i.e., could not find a way to re-create it at will when parked at other locations). The original installer did not respond to numerous messages (via voicemail and email) we left over the next month. We contacted the distributor of the alarm system brand, and he suggested Sundance Car Audio. I called one Friday and talked with Claude, who said to bring the car in for a troubleshooting session. The following Monday morning I met Iman, who checked the wires and system. He couldn't reproduce the symptom there, but made a couple of fixes (the valet switch wasn't working, and the shock sensor was set to max -- too high). I took the car home, but the original symptom didn't resolve, as we feared. Back to Iman, who spent time to check some more electric system parts. There was no charge as it was a part of the first visit (troubleshoot session) charge. But its behavior did not improve. Iman could not think of anything other than the CPU of the system being defective. So, we had to bite the bullet and replaced the system with another brand, as well as installing new wires. Iman explained that the troubleshooting charge would be applied towards the cost, and they would give my money back if that did not resolve the mysterious problem. Iman spent time to install the new system/wires, and to patiently explain how it works. That did the trick, and our car now has a functioning alarm/lock system. I appreciated Iman for spending the time to help us find a way to resolve our issue without having to replace a newly installed system. And, when it was not possible to find the source of the problem, he took care to install a new system with the promise of giving money back if the new system exhibits the same problem. I took the car there three times and always felt he truly listened to my concerns, and did his best to help me resolve this mysterious problem. I highly recommend him if you need help with a car alarm system.

It was determined I needed a dedicated fused positive and a good ground to get past that being the issue. Sundance was able to get me on their schedule and get the project completed super quickly. The work was clean, the technician explained how he completed the work and the price was fair. I am a super happy customer.
