The dolma, stuffed grape leaves, were clearly house made and very fresh. The baba ganoush, grilled eggplant dip, was not as pureed as I typically find but was very tasty. Finally, the shakshuka, a dip made from eggplant, bell peppers, and a tomato sauce, was very good. I usually think of shakshuka as a Moroccan egg and tomato dish that is served hot. This was served cold and did not contain eggs, but was tasty nonetheless. The accompanying pita tasted freshly baked. For our entree, we tried a kofte pita and a donner pita. The bread on both sandwiches was very thin -- closer to what I think of as lavash compared to the pita that came with our mezzes. Both pitas had a generous serving of protein along with tzatziki and fresh veggies. In particular, the kofte was very moist and flavorful, but both were excellent. When you enter the restaurant, you order at the counter. They have a variety of canned and bottled beverages with water available at the dining area. I usually complain about counter service restaurants that expect a tip, but Kapadokia Grill is an exception to the rule. Our mezzes were delivered to the table first, then the pitas followed at an appropriate time afterwards. The server who delivered our meals followed up to make sure everything was good and also offered us complimentary hot tea or coffee. The tea was served in the traditional Turkish tea glass, complete with blue evil eyes. After we finished our meals, our serving trays were cleared. This time it had a little different flavor than the last time. It had a saltier flavor and not quite as buttery as I remembered which was disappointing since that was the best part for me. It was still delicious but I was happy for the yogurt that helped cut the saltiness a little. Possibly the sauce became more concentrated since it was the end of the batch they had. I could only finish half because it's such a large portion but my husband finished his. The service was super friendly as always. The owners here are so lovely and always attentive.
