Sujan proved to be an attentive and courteous server. That said, the buffet was somewhat underwhelming. It was smaller than those I've found elsewhere in the area. While it offered a solid mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, those offerings were the epitome of playing it safe. Only the hakka noodles (not always an Indian buffet staple) and butter chicken (better than average) really stood out. Nothing else, from the tandoori chicken to the daal to the naan, was prepared poorly, but it was fairly forgettable. Granted, buffet food needs to appeal to a wide range of diners with varying levels of spice tolerance, and so I went in not expecting any heat. Take spiciness out of the equation, however, and the flavors still felt subdued. At least the $20 seemed reasonable for what was offered. It's possible that Noor really shines if you order off the regular menu, and so I wouldn't rule out a return here. The next time I want a weekend lunch buffet, however, I think I'll stick to Taaza.

It's a chill, hole in the wall, neighborhood watering hole type of place. We chatted with a few locals and my wife and I enjoyed the atmosphere. They had some great beers on tap including several from Foothills brewery and also full liquor bar to send a few rounds for any occasion. I settled on the Mad Haddock (I know who orders the fish at a burger place) and my lady had French onion burger. The deep fried asparagus was a playful side that was memorable. We both really enjoyed the choices. The fries could've been more crisp but overall they were passable. The haddock sandwich was incredible and that tartar sauce was incredible. The sandwich was one of those that you don't put down after a few bites. I enjoyed the food, friendly service and conversation with locals. They recommended a bottle shop connected to a laundromat not far away but we had to get back on the road. If you are in the Greensboro area Hops is worth a stop for happy hour, lunch or dinner.

The portion size was good-I actually ended up splitting it with a friend. The cheesesteak was perfectly seasoned, the bell peppers and onions were grilled, and the bread had that perfect crust and soft balance. There are places to sit inside but no table service. My wife settled on a BLT turkey sandwich which was cold, the side baked potato wouldn't even melt butter. The only bright side was my chili was the right temperature though I would say the bowl was a smaller serving size than expected. We have loved other Smokey bones and get the smoke pot to share -hard to do when they don't have the basics. We wondered why the restraunt next door was busy and they weren't- we got the answer. Sad to see a place that doesn't meet expectations
