Probably 10 different bars with standard concert pricing.

I have been to a lot of music venues, in LA and throughout North America, and this is one of the…read moreworst. I can't see myself ever coming back. I saw Sisters of Mercy here May 15th 2023. My husband had never seen them perform and they were at the top of his live music bucket list, yet we lasted less than an hour before giving up and leaving. The sound was really scratchy and distorted, like the sound of an underpowered speaker played much louder than it can handle; you could barely even make out the vocals. It might have been the band's equipment, I guess, as I have seen positive reviews of the sound system, but still you'd think the venue would work with the band to get at least average sound quality. The main space is set up so people are funneled onto the floor in one 10-15 foot wide space in the center back, which meant a lot of jostling and being pushed from behind as people tried to get closer to the front. I couldn't really relax because I never knew when the next shove was coming. The floor is level and the stage is low, so the line of sight is poor, unless you are lucky enough to be taller than everyone else between you and the stage. I kept having to move around to catch a glimpse of the band. The temperature inside was easily in the 90's despite the outdoor temperature being quite mild (I want to say mid 60's?) To top it off, the drinks were absolutely OUTRAGEOUSLY priced - I ordered a gin and ginger and a vodka cran and soda, and with a 20% tip it came to $84!!!!! I did get premium liquor so I wasn't expecting it to be cheap, but we're talking gin and vodka, not 100 year old single malt scotch, so $35 for a light pour (mayyyybe 1 oz) is insane. The security was good, they were quick but thorough and friendly enough. But that's literally the only nice thing I can say about the Palladium.

It has a really cool fabric, tasseled, tent-like ceiling that makes a grand statement. I sat in the upper seats and had no problem seeing the stage. I liked the painted beams on the ceiling outside the main auditorium and the overall vintage and classic feel of the space. The bad: I don't remember what the concession stands were like. The interesting: It looks like a old fashioned movie theater with the red velour seats mixed with a temple (shrine) from a century ago. It is carpeted and reminds me of venues I've been to in San Francisco.

Sound is great, security check is an easy process, and sections are simple to find. But I noticed that the restrooms inside are cleaner than the ones outside before the entrance. A big downside is parking. It's ridiculously expensive and leaving after an event is a total clusterfuck. We use SpotHero to reserve a parking few blocks away which has worked better for us. Food and drinks are also overpriced and mid, so we always eat beforehand. I am not about to get ripped off lol. it's a good venue for concerts but i recommend to plan your parking and food ahead of time.

Ample nearby parking about one block away for $10. The line to buy soda and potato chips (by the men's room side upstairs) was short. But the line for alcohol and more food choices was so long (women's restroom side but looping around the place) that you couldn't even get close enough to see your options (25 minutes before the show). The bad things (really bad) unless you get a seat very close to the stage): From our seats ("front balcony" center row J - and there were about 500 people behind us!!) we were so far away that we could barely see a thing. Certainly you could see faces let alone expressions. And a magician that you can't see!? Really??
