I was really impressed with Carmit's construction background and her and the team's deep knowledge of building and contracting. They completed a substantial remodel for us - taking down structural walls, gut renovation of living room, kitchen and bathroom. And they did it on time! I thought their pricing was really reasonable, and they kept in close communication all the way through the project. They offered informed advice along the way, both on design elements but also clever ways for us to save money with supplies - without impacting overall quality. This team is my favorite GC in San Francisco now!

He also rebuilt the exterior stairs, walkways and a retaining wall. It was first class work for a very reasonable price. His work added much more value to the house than it cost. The neighbors, who all have hillside decks were very impressed. He is licensed and he carries workmans comp. insurance so you will be protected. When we had some problems with the City of Novato (through no fault of his) Nery made numerous trips and visits to the City on behalf of our client. He made drawings. He met inspectors. He worked very well under pressure with a difficult client. Without Nery's help we would have been in a world of hurt. Nery returns phone calls quickly. He under promises and over delivers.

My neighbor personally recommended me Farallon Company.  Upon thorough research, I discovered that their satisfaction rate was way above their peers. I decided to contact the company. Fernando and Jonathan Oliveira were very professional from the beginning to the end of the project. Their crew worked tirelessly to complete the job, putting in long hours and even working on Saturdays. Whether or not Fernando or his son, Jonathan, was present to oversee their work, the crew remained focused, efficient, and methodical, handling the challenging job with ease despite its difficult conditions. Fernando's expertise, coupled with Jonathan's flexibility, enabled them to navigate any obstacles that arose during the project. I really enjoyed that it is a family-owned business and that Fernando came from Portugal over 40 years ago, bringing with him his knowledge about construction from the old continent to the Bay Area. You can tell he knows what he is talking about when he goes over details with you. I am glad to see his son taking over the business and learning from his dad. I might need excavation work in 2024 on a different property and will definitely use their services again! Thank you!

They also gave me some complimentary guidance on my future plans with my backyard. During project, their crew were there often onsite for 10+ hour days, sometimes 6 days a week. They even worked through some 100+ degree days. I was always happy to see the consistent progress on the project over the 3 months it took. I heartily recommend E Rodas Construction…read more I hired Emar to do a major renovation of my home (new kitchen, bathrooms, fireplace, deck, windows, doors, HVAC and more) and outside (new fencing, stairs, concrete pathways, retainer walls, and more). It was all completed to a high standard. I have a demanding work life and a priority for me was I did not want to be sidetracked and/or stressed out over this multi-year project; I got my wish. I actually lived onsite (downstairs) during the upstairs renovation. I was strongly encouraged to move out but I've lived in hotels on the road for many years and I know how old that gets soon. Emar and his crew were so pleasant to be around that they made it easy to get my wish and stay in my home. There are so many reasons to recommend Emar but one of my favorites is my designer and I would regularly come up with new ideas, sometimes unusual ones, and Emar never said no to making them a reality. Early on there was a big one, very high on my wish list, that a prior contractor had said no to - unless I was willing to spend an enormous amount of money - but Emar made it work beautifully at a very reasonable price. Even if a solution to implementing our ideas wasn't obvious instantly, he quicky figured out a way to make it happen and seemed to thrive on these challenges. Emar has superior social and management skills, gets along with everyone, and has the respect of his team and his subcontractors, all who are responsive and don't let him down. Other reasons for recommending Emar are: (1) Everyone on his team was highly skilled and the quality of their work was excellent. (2) He paid attention to the little details as well as the big ones. (3) He and his team were honest. (4) They were respectful of my house & furnishings, covering up floors, removing and/or covering up furniture and bubble wrapping my paintings before storing them. Their end-of-day clean-up was professional and thorough. In short, Emar is a find. My designer recommended/insisted I hire him. I am so glad I did. You'd be very fortunate to have him.
