Yesterday the rubber strip on top of the windshield of my 2010 Elantra came adrift. I took it to the dealer and they said they don't deal with that, so I drove down Cave Creek Road looking for an auto glass place. I stopped at the first sign I saw and asked if they could glue the rubber strip back on. They refused to help me, stating that if the glass fell out later, they would be legally liable. Disappointed in my fellow man I headed to an auto parts store to just buy the glue and attempt to repair it myself.
On the way I saw the sign for VIP Auto Glass, on Cave Creek just south of Bell Road, on the east side of the street. The owner was very helpful. He showed me that the rubber strip was rotten already and he'd have to replace it. In 10 minutes had a new strip glued in place for a very reasonable price. I really like the "can do" attitude and the professional work. They place doesn't look like much but I think it's a gem. They also do exhausts and radiators. read more
