The nearby Baker Body Shop recommended this place to me for window tinting after they did minor repairs on my car, a Kia EV6. After checking with other businesses through Yelp, they had a reasonable price for the positive reviews. I chose a light tint that blocked UV and heat. They originally expected to take 2 hours. It took 3 hours due to minor complications. The tint had streaks as I was told, but the streaks disappeared by the next day as promised. My car looks great! I still have the tape over the window switches to remind me not to open them for a few days, a much appreciated touch. I forgot the name of the guy who helped me (Robert maybe?). Found a Groupon deal and called them for an appointment. I talked to Oscar who was easy to talk to. I set up an appointment for 9am. I was the first car to be worked on for the day. 5 window job on my 2018 Honda Civic Hatchback took only 1hr and 15mins. The guys did an excellent job on my tint. This is a weird review, because I'm reviewing this business not on their work, but on the fact they turned down a job they didn't feel they could do well. I needed my motorcycle tank wrapped, was able to call and describe the job, and based on various factors they decided not to take my money because the result wouldn't be up to their standards. These guys made the right call, and saved me money while doing it. They took the time to get on a video chat to see the tank and explain everything. Great shop. I took the motorhome in to have the front hood glue removed after I peeled off the damaged protective plastic. The owner gave me a 'floating price' then did a test patch to see if the solvent worked. When I returned the glue was completely GONE and the price went down. I appreciate their doing a really excellent job, also their honesty in not taking more money than necessary to to do this work. Hardwire a dual dash cam to a 2016 Dodge Challenger is the service rendered at this shop. Simple procedure, right? I bought the dash cam with its own battery pack to be hardwired. From far away, it is flawless. The dash cams are centered and the wires are hidden. However, in the process, the paneling of my dash on the passenger side got damaged. One part is cracked in two pieces while a bottom piece has a cut. On the plus side, their customer service is great. A person may say that the damaged area could have been broken by the owner or passenger but I almost never have any passengers. If someone did hit that area, it would be lower and would not have created a cut/gash. It's a hassle to replace this part since it's not a normal thing to replace. Also, I had a review posted before but it got removed somehow. Bad but truthful reviews don't disappear out of thin air. A friend of mine had an issue too, service and review wise. The crew at VIP Auto Customs was great to work with all around. I brought my brand new car here straight from the dealer to get protected with XPEL PPF and tint put on. They constantly updated me on the progress of the car through their text messaging system which was awesome and made me comfortable leaving my car with them. Not only that, they assured me they would keep my car indoors over night since the PPF install was going to take a full 24 hours. The PPF came out beautifully as well as the tint. Not a single bubble in the tint. On top of all of this, they do a courtesy check up 7-10 days following PPF install to take care of any imperfections (such as minor lifting at the edges, which is common with PPF after it cures). This review is long overdue... In January of 2020, I got black matte vinyl on the trims of my Tesla model 3. I also had my windows tinted. As soon as Robert and his crew were done adding vinyl to my car, it was already imperfect (i.e. messy job, creases in the vinyl, and some parts were not properly stuck to my car). I made a few comments, but decided to just bear with it and see how the vinyl sticks up overtime. However, I should have called back the following day and requested a refund, because the work they did on my car was terrible and unacceptable. I'm still incredibly angry and frustrated. Very knowledgeable about the products and will honestly tell you what would work for your car. I got the 20% on the rear, back and front windows and I believe it was a 10% on the windshield. Met up with him to get the car tinting done and everybody was very warm and professional, helping me with the stickers on my car that needed to be removed. They told me to be careful putting the stickers back on because it would mess up the tint. Fantastic job done.. the windows look amazing. They even put on my new license plates.
