These guys were real cool. They said were running a little behind when I dropped my car off for my appointment but still had my two rear windows and back window tinted within an hour, so the service is great. The guy behind the counter (maybe the owner?) was patient with me while I was indecisive about how dark I wanted my windows tinted. (I eventually went with the darkest option at 5% and it was definitely the best thing to do. Still very easy to see out the back, even at night.) He explained my option to upgrade to higher quality film that comes with a lifetime warranty against bubbling and turning purple, (when I left, he provided the warranty information to keep in my glovebox.) Said if I was planning to keep the car longer than a couple years that it was the better option. For an extra $50, it was a no-brainer and I did it. I felt well-informed and not upsold. I liked these guys and they were fast. There are a couple Mexican restaurants within a ten minute walk but not too much else. Come hungry and do that if you don't want to wait at the place. They do have places to sit both indoors and outdoors if you feel like staying, though. It's not a bad place to hang. read more

VIP installed the window tint (3M Scotchtint Color Stable-Medium Shade) all around on my new Infiniti 2011 G37 Coupe and it looks great! I will post some of my car pictures so you can all see what it looks like. Both Will (Sales) and the Owner Roger were very helpful and attentive. They do take appointments so that is very helpful (unless of course people don't make their appointments on time :l). I arrived on time to my appt. but the previous person got there super late for theirs so they said my car might take a little longer than anticipated (previously promised it would be done by 12 30 at the latest)...they said maybe 1 or 1 30 but they would do whatever they could to get me done by the time they promised. They also offered to take me to the local shopping center (Best Buy, The Rack, etc.) ....next thing I know they call me around 12:30 and said it was done at the time originally promised! The job looks great now ...there was a slight issue with one of the windows but I went back and they fixed it no questions asked and did it right there on the spot. They offer some good deals and are official resellers for 3M. So if you are looking for a 3M window tint job I'd say give VIP a shot. read more

I had to fix my blown-out amp in my van. At first I went to the Toyota dealer and was quoted $900. So I wanted to explore other options. I called VIP and got a quote for $300 which was much better than $900. Also I'm disabled and use a wheelchair so I can't have a friend pick me up from the shop. I asked JD if he could pick my van up from my apartment and he said yes. That made the experience much better for me. I took my 2013 Prius V here a year ago n it was great then full tint job all around n uv tint on windshield, btw try it out it cuts down the heat by a lot... anyway a rock chipped my windshield n had to replace so good bye uv filter... they did such a great job the first time, so I went back & had them put the uv filter back on my windshield and added a second car 4 runner to the uv tint n side window tint... (I have to go back for some touch up this weekend, but they do such a great job I'm not worry) yep repeated customer here... These guys are awesome! I live a few blocks away and literally drive past VIP Auto Customs every day but never expected to be customer. But I bought a used Toyota Prius this past week and discovered that the dark front tinted windows were illegal (I'm surprised that an official Toyota dealership would sell a certified used car in this condition - but that's another story). After reading good reviews online for VIP, I called and spoke with Robert who told me all the options for tint removal and/or replacing with a light tint to block UV rays. Even though they closed at 6pm, I was able to bring my car in at the last minute without an appointment and they quickly did the work and the price was reasonable. Took advantage of a Groupon and tried this place out for the first time after reading all the wonderful Yelp reviews. Once I arrived, I stressed the fact that I didn't want my tint turning purple on me in a few years. Without feeling pressured, I opted to upgrade to Color Stable tint for an extra $50 and went with 20% on all rear windows. I had an 11 a.m. appointment and was out the door in just over a hour. Just as I was getting ready to leave I noticed that the back hatch window tint was cut a little short on one edge, brought it to their attention and they immediately re-did the tint with no questions asked. I was in traffic on the 210 frwy, WB last Thursday morning on my way to work. I noticed a van to the right of me that had the VIP advertisement all over it along with the 3M logo. That caught my attention as I have been needing to get my windows tinted for the past 6 months. So I wrote down the web address and I looked them up and placed the call. Let's just say that I am so glad I did. I was able to schedule a next day appt. (for my convenience) and these guys hooked up my limo tint in under an hour. They take their jobs very seriously and the quality of work is top notch. All for $149 plus and $20 ( for my oversize windows) because I drive a crossover SUV. I even got a free lifetime warranty with 3M should anything go wrong with my tint. The manager is awesome. He leads a great team of professionals and even offered me donuts and a mountain dew and some water to cool down from the heat. Talk about generous. Again the best investment I ever made. I have been a customer of VIP centers for many many years and I always have my tinting done by them and that is because they have been very good at customer service they want to make sure that I am happy with what I get and I am I have not been disappointed and I think this is my fourth or fifth time that I have had my tinting done but this time I had on my windshield done as well for the UV I think it's like 96 or 98% UV protection anyway they are very good accurate customer friendly customer focused and I couldn't be happier so I highly recommend them if anybody wants to have tinting done and with great quality. read more

I walked in knowing very little about window tinting especially in California which has very specific laws regarding tinting. Rob, the owner, took the time (probably 20 minutes) to walk me through the various options and price points. He even went out side and had me sit in the car while he held the sample tints up to my window to so I could see how dark it would be. He wasn't pushy at all which is super rare now a days. He educated me on the tinting and yes I did spend more than I initially intended however now I am confident that my tinting is legal and will last as long as I own the car (it's warrantied so by 3M). While I was waiting Rob drove me to a local mall where I had lunch - how many businesses have that kind of customer service? They do have a lounge with wifi which is nice but it is small. They were done 1/2 an hour earlier than their estimate. My only negatives are: 1. They removed my headrests and didn't put them back in 2. They left a sponge and paper towel in my car Both these are minor issues and the service was so outstanding that I think it still deserves 5 stars. I phoned around today and found out I could have had the same tinting done elsewhere for cheaper but when I think about the outstanding service I'm not mad. I've had too many bad customer service experiences and realize it's just not worth the headache. read more
