I needed to enhance my visibility with new headlights or bulbs because I had aftermarket headlight housing and they just weren't providing enough light. I ended up getting new housing and bulbs from VIP customs and now I can see so much more. Plus the HID color looks awesome. The prices are very reasonable. I did have to go back a few times to get things adjusted but they were very nice to resolve any issue I had. I live close by so it wasn't too much of a hassle to drop my car off. I feel that they provide great services and if you feel they fell short in any way, they'll make it better for you. Oscar was great and always available to help. I have been coming to this family owned establishment for about 22 yrs. I've had alarms , sound systems and window tint all done by VIP . Never once have I had any issues with any of their services. This place is great. I came in with a friends recommendation and the helpful employees got me the tinting I wanted. I got the life time warranty tinting because I have seen dozens of people who have gotten windows tinted in other places and after a while they start to bubble, peel off and even fade and turn into a dark blueish purpleish color and I really didn't want that on my new car, so I bought it in and got two of my cars tinted, a 2018 Honda Hatchback and a 2015 Honda Fit and both of them came out amazing, I really loved them and I strongly recommend you come to get your windows tinted. They take a while to apply the tint but they offer Netflix which is pretty kool to be honest. read more

I don't write reviews often but this place deserves one. Came in to do a tail light replacement on my car with LED tail lights. I called at the last minute and JD was able to squeeze me in the same day, despite his usually very busy schedule. He replaced both my tail lights and made sure they function correctly and without any errors. He took care of the wiring as well as fitting the lights into the car as well. The only single downside was that he cracked a small side piece off of my stock tail lights when replacing it. Nevertheless, the newly installed LED tail lights looks amazing up and running. This is my first time coming here and from what it seems, this shop is very busy most of the time so it definitely best to call in advance to schedule an appt. Overall, this shop is amazing and deserves 4.5 stars (but yelp doesn't allow for that). Would definitely come again for future services. read more

They're very informative and the customer service was wonderful. They did five windows on my car in an hour and the work they did was excellent. They did a great job with my car! Most tinting places gave me a hard time because with the '17 hatchback there is a spoiler covering the window and charged me extra because they had to remove it. At VIP they didn't need to remove it at all and were done with my car in about an hour and a half. I got 3m color stable all around at 20%. They gave me a great price and did great work. I went to VIP to get my brand new Dodge Charger tinted. It wasn't my first choice, but I couldn't wait and decided to take a chance with them because of the Yelp video...the owner stated that they treat every car as if it was there own car. JD the manager was professional and nice. I felt confident when talking to JD and decided to go with his suggestion of 3M CS 20 on my back and side windows. He also suggested getting my front window tinted, which I wasn't planning on but he stated that it wouldn't be dark and more of a heat resistant and glare resistant protectant. I decided to do it, the total charge was $499. It was a little higher than I was planning on spending but JD mentioned that the tint had a lifetime warranty from turning purple, peeling and bubbles. Once we agreed on the price he had me fill out some information and sent two guys out to start on my car. We sat in the waiting area that was right next to the garage while they worked on my car. I really liked the waiting area, it had a couch and the wall was a window, so we could see the guys working on the car. The guys in the shop were funny and joking the whole time. After everything was finished JD had me go pay and sign more paperwork. I paid with an AMEX which they do charge a 5% fee. That I wasn't to happy about but JD said that he wouldn't charge us that surcharge so we saved $25.00. After running my card he printed out a sales order that he had me sign. I went back out to my car and JD instructed not to roll down the windows for 3-5 days. He also stated that the tint will look hazy. After 3 days I noticed tiny little bubbles all around the car. I called up JD and he told me to bring it in. I brought in the car the following Saturday, so about 7 days after. I showed him what I was talking about and he informed me that these "bubbles" are not "bubbles". He informed me that it was moisture trapped between the tint and the window and that I need to give it more time to dry. Nonetheless he bought out one of his guys who then proceeded to blow torch my windows and take a plastic tool to rub out the "bubbles". The 'bubbles" weren't truly rubbed out, they just shrunk. The guy rubbing out the "bubbles" told me that next time the best time to tint your car is when it rains. In my head I was like why didn't they tell me that before? Then he proceeded to tell me that the "bubbles" were never truly going to go away. He told me that it was dust particles trapped between the tint and the window. He said they will shrink up and look like dots after. Then I showed him the "bubbles" on the front passenger window and he told me that there were too many and that they would have to do it again. So he drove my car next to the garage since another car was already in the garage and wet down the pavement with a hose. He removed the tint from the front passenger window and re-tinted it. He told me he was done and left to work on the next car. I told JD that the other guy told me that the "bubbles" were dust particles and that they were never truly going to go away. He agreed and I showed him more "bubbles" on my car. He told me that it was moisture and that I need to give it time to dry. When I asked how long I needed to give it to dry he said up to 90 days. I was confused because I only remember them telling me that I needed 3-5 days, but he said that was just to roll down your windows. I asked him that if in 90 days if the "bubbles" are still there that I can come back so that they can fix it. He stated no that I only had 30 days. I inquired about the LIFETIME warranty that was talked about in the beginning to sell me. He said the warranty was through 3M and it only covered the tint. He asked me if I still had the card and receipt so he could show me, so I went to my car and grabbed the paperwork. He then showed me the sales order that I signed and in TINY print he pointed out that there may be dust particles in the tint and that there is nothing they can do about it. Then is clicked! The warranty was only on the tint itself, they only offered a 30 day warranty for the application, but I had to wait up to 90 days to let it dry completely? How does this make sense? I would think that if having dust particles is a big enough issue that they have to have it in small print that they would take necessary measures to ensure the least amount of dust. My suggestion to the shop owner is to tint windows with the car garage CLOSED! That makes sense to me....get a humidifier to suck up all the dust. After leaving I was upset that there was nothing they could do to fix this. I called the G5 shop which was the one I originally was going to go with and told them the whole situation. They stated that the dust particles were in fact something that was really hard to avoid. He stated that VIP is located in a really dusty area, right next to the freeway. That's like dust galore! The install was messy. They didn't clean up after they were done and they didn't replace the grommet on the engine to cabin firewall. Engine noise was blaring in the cabin once I started driving. Wires were flopping in the engine compartment and on the windshield pilar. I was surprised to the poor work they did because I was a returning customer with prior satisfaction. Bought: 1.) Window Tint 2.) HID kit for headlights. I took my BMW M3 here to have the windows tinted. They had a big banner that you could see from a mile away that said, "WINDOW TINT $99". I brought the car to the shop and I guess the sign is just to get you to pull in so they can sell you, because right when I brought up the price after already talking about doing the car and when it would be done and all that, the owner Robert, told me "ohh the 99 dollar deal is only for the back windows its an additional 50 to 100 dollars depending on how big your windows are to do the front" So obviously, I was going to be spending a minimum of $150 right off the bat. Why doesn't the sign say, "REAR WINDOWS TINTED FOR $99!!" That would be much more appropriate. My friend Trent took his car in the next day, and they told him his would be $150 for JUST the rear not $99 like everyone else because he drove a 2010 Honda Accord sedan, apparently he has gigantic windows so the extra 5 inches of film they needed to use required $50 dollars to be covered. I went back a few months later to have them install a 6k HID kit on my headlights. They told me they could do it for $220 if i paid them cash (what a great deal huh?). The guy behind the desk told me they come with a one year warranty when he was in the process of selling me the product. After 5 months the lights started flickering, and when I would turn on my headlights, sometimes they wouldn't even come on. That was especially annoying at night when it's illegal to drive without headlights. I would have to turn the light switch on and off a bunch of times to get them to start. After 8 months, the right headlight started to fade and get dim turning from a blue/white color to a dark dim purple. I took it back to the shop, and they told me it was the light bulb, and it wasn't installed correctly. They told me the person who installed it rammed it into the socket, rather than fitting it with precision. They then told me it would be "about 60 bucks" to get fixed. That's how you treat a customer? You're employees install my parts incorrectly, and months after I have to pay for it, even after being told that it was their fault? What happened to the 1 year warranty? I guess the 1 year warranty expires after you pay them!! read more

I stopped in to get a quote on my car because i looked up all the reviews on Yelp and i told the guy i really wasn't ready to do anything yet on my car and i had to stay within a certain budget etc. and he looked at my car to tint only the two rear windows which is all i wanted he was not only going to be able to give me the lowest possible price around but give me an extra 20% off if i did it that day. Unfortunately i couldn't get it done right then and there but i still felt his price was a really great price whenever i would be ready to come back and tint my windows!! read more

JD is awesome. I got my new 14 Camry Hybrid tinted here. What's awesome: * Prior to applying the tint, his crew noticed my car's headliner was broken adjacent to the rear windshield. He called me to let me know immediately, and sent me a MMS with the photo. * He recommended that I didn't get the back window tinted yet - the dealership might have used that to blame the tint crew. (They tinted the rest of the car, though.) * I took the car back to Longo that day, they did an inspection and the manager of Longo said VIP was smart not to touch the back window. Warranty covered 100%. Ok, so two things: 1. I wouldn't have noticed that. Probably not for at least a year. By then, Longo could have said that wear and tear would have caused it, and I'd be out several hundred dollars. 2. They did 100% the right thing by not tinting that back window, and giving me suggestions on how to handle it. Oh right, the tint: looks fantastic. It's 3M tint, SPF 1000 or something, and certified by the Skin Cancer Foundation. The product is good, and this place is highly recommended. Go here! read more

Almost a year after I got my 3M Scotchgard paint protection film installed here, I think I owe them (another) review. At first, I wasn't that happy with the job due to a couple very minor details. Once I made my displeasure known, I was contacted immediately to make things right. My displeasure was also somewhat misplaced, because 3M Scotchgard is known to be notoriously hard to work with. Since they've corrected these minor issues, I haven't had any complaints. Everything is holding up nicely. What really jumps out at me was how willing they were to address anything I wanted to scrutinize, no matter how small a detail. No excuses were ever given, just apologies and offers to make it right (regardless of who was wrong). And, I did my homework before I decided on who would work on my car - their prices are very fair and their Saturday hours are convenient for a working man. I was looking at places in SF, LA, OC, and Vegas, and chose to drive 2.5 hours to VIP Auto Customs with no regrets. read more

Great experience. I found them through groupon, and saw how great their reviews were and decided to buy the groupon. Never got my windows tinted in any of my other cars before so I didn't really know what to expect. Turns out you shouldn't roll up in a completely dirty car like I did. Well they were nice enough to wash my car at no charge before they started the process. After that it was a quick 30 minute process and I was on my way home. I just bought my first non-junker car, and I really splurged. I bought a "pre-owned" 2009 MBZ E350. Only problem? Black on black with no window tinting. The wheel got so hot the first time I parked it outside I felt scorched. But, I was afraid to get it tinted. You hear horror stories in LA. I asked around, I did research on the internet, and I knew I wanted 3M crystalline. The stuff is not cheap, and its tricky to install, and there aren't many authorized dealers in LA. They want crazy prices. Message to auto service people: Sure, I am now an MBZ driver, whichmeans I'm broke! Please don't soak me! The Germans got to my wallet before you did! I knew that what I wanted wouldn't be cheap - but frankly, this is one of those things where I'd rather have good than cheap. After talking to a few places, I decided on VIP. Sure their prices were better. More importantly, they took time with me - yet at the same time didn't pressure me. Once I was ready, they fit me in on a busy day at short notice. Bob, the owner, was great - but so was everyone I dealt with there. These guys work hard, but they don't lose focus on the customer. Spent over $1000 on new wheels and tires. They scuffed all four of my matte rims while mounting the tires. They gave the keys to some knucklehead to back my car up onto their lift. After about ten attempts he was never able to line it up correctly, so they just ended up parking my car out front and jacking each side up from the middle of the vehicle (not a factory jacking point). New wheels and tires installed, they sent me on my way. No wheel alignment. Made me take the boxes for the wheels as well as the old rims and tires, they kept all the allen keys for my rims. The people that work here are dimwits that clearly never had any type of automotive education, it's all hurrrr durrrrr and bro science. Stay away. read more

Absolutely amazing experience. I got an amazing quote of $950 a partial clear bra on my hood, bumper, and fenders on my Evo, with some protective film for the trunk and door handles as well.
