It's a quaint little spot with just five tables inside plus an outdoor patio, perfect for relaxing with a drink and good conversation. I've had nothing but great experiences here! Jen is so knowledgeable about her beautifully curated wine list, and she is always happy to guide you toward the perfect selections. The ambiance is upscale cozy, and there's also a super cute patio to enjoy the good weather and the lovely view. My pictures don't do it justice because the place is adorable, the owner is wonderful, the wine is excellent, the chef is amazing, and the food menu is fantastic. Can I use any more good words?? I can't rave about this place enough. I've loved everything I've tried so far. And there are delicious vegan options on the menu, too! There are wine tasting and pairing events on Sundays, and now they have happy hour. I will be back again and again, thank you! A lot of places in Palm Springs look good on Instagram. Vinophile is one of those places that actually has heart. Jen has a way of making wine feel approachable and fun, whether you know a lot about it or not. The whole place feels welcoming, relaxed, and genuinely cared for. The view of Mount San Jacinto at sunset is beautiful, the kale salad is excellent, and I was already thinking about my next visit before I left. read more

What a cute place to visit! We stopped in for a visit before going to a play and lucked out because it was happy hour. The wines we enjoyed (rose, Syrah, and blend) were outstanding. Vinophile Cafe is a welcome addition to Palm Springs! Jen is friendly and knowledgeable and her wine list is well curated. The food coming out of the kitchen is incredible. Don't miss the deviled eggs with house made pickles! We've been twice now, once for happy hour, which had terrific wines and bites for $6! (Great variety of wine available not your usual bar happy hour wine). We went back for her Sunday tasting series and this week was champagne. 6 different bubbles each with a small bite. The cafe is small and the atmosphere intimate but not pretentious! This is becoming one of our new favorites in the area. read more

My wife and and two friends went for a sparkling wine tasting and it was fantastic. The wines were great and some of them were from areas I wasn't familiar with, which kept things interesting. I had been waiting several weeks for this place to open. Driving North into downtown on Indian Canyon you can blink and miss this tiny, tasteful, and adorable cafe! It starts with the black and white glamorous patio umbrellas, the kind you'd see in the South of France beachside or in a Parisian cafe. You're drawn in by the real tea light candles and sweet lavender florals that grace each French countryside patio high tables and chairs. You can just sense some live music from an acoustic folk musician or a Spanish flamenco guitarist will start soon. Walk in and you are instantly greeted by an equally comforting interior with sweet, candlelit, wooden dining tables, space for intimate wine tastings or a group of bachelorette gals seeking something more refined and soothing. Dozens of wines from all across Europe and the finest regions of CA line the shelves while my eyes are pleased to see a non-alcoholic section as well - perfect for our sober friends and family and those of us cutting back as needed. The place's charm is superseded only by the owners cafe and chef, Jen and yesterday evening, Gabe. Both with cute glasses that can't hide the twinkle in their eyes and the joy spread across their smiles as they see and greet you. We felt totally welcome! Since we had unfortunately just eaten and were returning from a trip in Palm Desert, we ordered the hummus, which I have never tasted a better version! Pine nuts, flavor, texture, everything hand made to order as you enjoy your first sips. We had the sangria (also the best and without the massive amounts of ice and fruit) it was nicely chilled and the Red French Bourgogne (my first time and certainly not my last). We ended up staying longer than expected because the music was nice and we began tasting their delicious and dangerous truffle popcorn! Conversation with Jenn was inspiring and fun, she is a SoCal native trained in the best wine and food restaurants of LA and SF. She was unpretentious, the prices were reasonable, and the wine selection was diverse and delectable. I love places where you can write in a guest book, an old school way of signing up for their special newsletter of incoming wines, but also, a testament to your presence as one of their first visitors. Jen let us know that they have events like cooking classes and pairings, a Cinco de Mayo soiree with a Guacamole competition, and some zoom classes as well. And that we could learn more on their FB, Insta, or other socials. It showed they were up to date in all the right ways. I'm excited to return. Their ribbon cutting is set for the 29th of April? Complete with Mayor and Council visits, evidently this establishment was supported by a small grant for women-owned businesses in Palm Springs - good! Seems like Jen's vast experience and Chef Gabe's style have pushed the envelope here. So far, it's the best wine bar I've been to of the two or three here in the desert. It's nicely air conditioned, cute decor, and splendid mountain skyline views have me still in a dream. We needed this! Note: My mom who is a designer suggested a fresh coat of white paint on the already white pretty vintage concrete blocks outside or another color so as to make the place stand out more to drivers passing by. My only caveat is to put up a faux greenery wall divider (possibly a section for selfies that could include a cute low key neon sign or other signature stand-out logo like Lovi's in Westlake Village or Birba on Palm Canyon) as a privacy screen between the cafe and its next door neighbor a small dispensary. I don't partake and while many do, I prefer not to see some green lights from their sign intrude on this sweet cafe's vibe. While the dispensary was clean, bright, and safely guarded with security guards from the outside (and not terribly busy), I'd still enjoy added privacy of a faux garden wall. My two cents!
